SV Ubers UU Secret Santa!
1702420888375.png
In this time of year, we're feeling generous, so let's help our community members teambuild! This particular Secret Santa is similar to a teambuilding workshop. Each person who Sign Up via THIS Google Form with a Pokemon, core or a idea they'd like someone else to build a team with. Afterwards, everyone who joined the project will receive one of the aforementioned ideas and will have to build a team with it before the building deadline. Finally, the teams will be posted in this thread by everyone participating.
  • Signups end December 16th, 11:59pm EST
  • Teams should be posted on this page between December 23rd and December 27th. Feel free to tag your gift-receiver or dm them the team, but we want you to post it publicly as well!
  • Nicknames and lore are highly appreciated. Strategy, replays, and descriptions are a benefit too.
  • I will handle the distribution of requests, and I am your point-person if there are any issues.
  • Make serious requests only. I reserve the right to ask you to resubmit your request, or to ignore non-serious requests. We can have fun with it, but forcing people to build with ponyta is not fun, and it just means they're building a 5 pokemon team. If you have a "shitmon" you really want someone to build around, give some more details as to how they might work or what niche you see them having.
Happy Holidays!

Secret Santas Are Distributed! If you didn't get one and thought you were supposed to, dm me. Post your finished teams between December 23rd and 27th. Happy Holidays!

Thread is live! To begin, I'll post a team from JustCallMeFish who wasn't available during this time, so they sent me a team and description for their secret santa... memedose46 !

Hello everyone! This team was made in conjunction with Frito for ilikeeatingcrayons, with the only request being for a trick room team with Magearna, so lets get into it shall we?

Initial Thoughts
I'm not going to lie, I think trick room is in a somewhat dire state in this meta, so I was a bit nervous when it came to building this, as I not only didn't know how to make trick room work in this meta... I didn't know how to build trick room. I'll get into the shitshow I built later, but my solution was to reach out to my good friend Frito for some emotional support and also advice on how to approach this, thankfully a lot of the support I had come up with seemed to be in a mostly good place, which at least boosted my self confidence going forwards. Thankfully we came to a conclusion on how to round out the team and I think this is probably the best approach to this kind of team I have seen (not biased), so how about we take a look at what exactly that entails:

Magearna Trick Room
:magearna::dialga::ursaluna::arceus-poison::hoopa-unbound::hatterene:
an exercise in Frito's patience and my stupidity
magearna.gif

Magearna @ Eject Pack
Ability: Soul-Heart
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Fleur Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Encore

The star of the show! Thankfully, creating specifically Magearna based Trick room didn't exactly feel like a challenge as Magearna is already such a good enabler of pretty much any team style, with the support like Encore and the titular Trick room and pivoting options weather through the one time Fleur Cannon or the more spammable Volt Switch made Magearna pretty much the de facto lead for this team in most matchups. Its defensive profile on its own is already incredibly useful, so even outside of a lead role Magearna is able to easily come in later in games as a "longer term" check to Pokémon like Zacian when needed (aka it can switch in one more time then most other mons on this team can).

dialga.gif

Dialga @ Eject Pack
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Draco Meteor
- Steel Beam
- Stealth Rock
Behold! Trick room setter 2/3, but this one has a far more versatile offensive presence, and is also notable as the only form of hazard setting on this team, which can be vital in terms of breaking the sashes of lead Deoxys on HO teams that may try and preserve their sash throughout the game, while also making those vital OHKOs a little bit easier. The eject pack similarly lets Dialga escape from play, but Steel Beam offers a much more destructive way to simply rid Dialga from play, while doing HUGE damage as steel is not a type this tier resists particularly well, with min speed Dialga even being able to speed tie uninvested Magearna in Trick Room, meaning that locking it in with encore is an incredibly dangerous play.

ursaluna.gif

Ursaluna @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Facade
- Headlong Rush
- Crunch

Every Trick Room team worth its salt should have one Ursaluna, and after some less then optional changes from Frito i begrudgingly came to the conclusion that yes, regular Ursaluna is better. The sheer power you get from this thing that lets you get incredibly consistent OHKOs while also being able to brute force a ton of walls in the tier. Nothing really special to say about this, its just strong, and good these structures!

arceus-poison.gif

Arceus-Poison @ Toxic Plate
Ability: Multitype
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Recover

The sad thing about going hard trick room is that.. Well I don't think you can. You need a way to function outside of trick room and a basic E-Killer Poisonceus is most definitely the best way to go about it able to pick off a bunch of weakened threats and sometimes outright win games on its own, especially against opposing offense where the mons will generally be a lot weaker.

hoopa-unbound.gif

Hoopa-Unbound @ Life Orb
Ability: Magician
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast

This was something I originally considered for the team but dropped it because i wanted to try something else, and then Frito made me put it right back on. Hoopa Unbound is a certified nuke, being an OHKO machine that doesn't really have any solid checks in the tier besides the fact it has abysmal speed and defensive typing, all of which can be ignored under Trick Room! While Dark Pulse and Psyshock is practically all it needs Focus Blast is a nice addition that gives it that last little bit of coverage, though in my few tests I never really found the need to click it, especially since you wont often be looking to this as your way to break through Magearna. Overall, a very strong Trick Room abuser that serves this team well.
hatterene.gif

Hatterene @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Misty Explosion
- Psychic Noise
- Healing Wish

Hatterene is such a good pokemon (honestly I think in general its unexplored a bit), and it makes quite the splash on trick room. The sash allows it to be an excellent last-ditch setter that still is able to do a ton of damage on the way out, hitting hard with Psychic Noise and Misty Explosion doing a surprising amount, as well as being the Healing Wish user on this team. Its excellent for denying hazards and getting Trick Room up in the face of taunt, and overall will do well in practically every matchup, because this pokemon is just in general really strong.

Closing Remarks
I've been getting a lot into building recently thanks to UUberspl, and this was a fun chance to build something out of my comfort zone, and while my initial experimentation was.. pretty bad (though I did fix it up a bit after Frito's changes to the final build) I'm glad that something good could come out of this! So far this tier and other UUbers sub tiers have felt incredibly welcoming and I'm really hoping to become more integrated in the community and get to know more of you. Thanks again to Frito for helping me out with this build, and I hope you like it ilikeeatingcrayons!

Apologies for how long this is I like to ramble :3

DinoTheGoat Here is you're Dipplin Sun
:torkoal: :hatterene: :Dipplin: :walking wake: :chi-yu: :arceus-poison:
This was originally supposed to be a team for the 9 days of Arceusmas, but I realized in shock and awe, that Dipplin could fit on the team, and it was sun. The team is mostly filled with standard sun mons so I won't really touch on them. Arc Poison is a good DD mon, but you could try out other options like Roaring Moon and Gouging Fire. Dipplin, the true star of the team, can 1v1 a couple of offensive threats, specifically Landorous-I. It survies Sludge Wave and can survive with Giga Drain Recovery. Overall, Dipplin was suprisingly fun to play with.

The second team is the better team, and by a good margin, but the first is funny as well

:sv/magearna: :choice specs:
Magearna @ Choice Specs
Ability: Soul-Heart
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Fleur Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Spikes

What way is better to start a team then use the best Pokémon? Choice Specs Fleur Cannon actually hits hard and with Volt Switch, what more do you need? When building this team, I learned that Mag gets Trick, and I rounded off the set with Spikes because I might as well

:sv/giratina::choice band:
Giratina @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Poltergeist
- Dragon Tail
Tina + Mag is a tried and true core, so I added it here! I put RestTalk because I felt like it was the best way to go with this set, and chose Poltergeist because it was the strongest reliable STAB barring outrage, and chose Dragon Tail because all good teams needs a phaser right?

:sv/palafin-hero: :choice band:
Palafin @ Choice Band
Ability: Zero to Hero
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Jet Punch
- Wave Crash
- Close Combat
- Flip Turn
This used to be an Alomomola, with Wish, Flip Turn, Aqua Jet and Play Rough, but I was told by a friend that Alo was weird on this team and Palafin was a better replacement, so here it is! Pretty standard set, and its speedy Palafin because speed is funny

:sv/great tusk: :choice scarf:
Great Tusk @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Knock Off
I wanted removal, so I went with Scarf Tusk, as it provides good Speed control. Not much more can be said

:sv/gothitelle: :choice scarf:
Gothitelle @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Tag
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Psychic Noise
Well, you didn’t say I couldn’t use Goth, who is probably the only reason why this team has a good sweeper Pokémon… stole the sample set for this one

:sv/roaring moon: :choice band:
Roaring Moon @ Choice Band
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Outrage
- Earthquake

I wanted to round off the Fighting Dark Psychic core with Roaring Moon, as Moon provides a second knocker with Tusk, meaning that the Magearna Spikes, if you are clicking them, will actually do something. Moon also has a very strong Outrage barring the tier queen, which is why you have Tera Ground EQ if you are really sheist.

Have fun with this team!

I’ll start by saying that I haven’t played this tier in a while, and I haven’t had the chance to test the team yet, so I hope it’s not too weak.

This team with Taunt Torn-T is for avaluggsimp. Initially, I considered a Nasty Plot set on a more offensive team, but I ultimately decided on a Bulky Offense with Hazard Stack, supported by Alomomola’s Wish Passing (and the two Regenerators) to keep the team healthy.

The team features three pivot moves and one Encore to force switches and capitalize on Hazards. To this end, I included two Knock Off users to remove Heavy-Duty Boots or other problematic items, though an additional Knock Off could be added on Ogerpon in place of U-turn.

:tornadus-therian: :alomomola: :arceus-poison: :excadrill: :tyranitar: :ogerpon:

tornadus-therian.png

Tornadus-Therian @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 HP / 16 SpA / 72 SpD / 168 Spe
Timid Nature
- Taunt
- Knock Off
- Bleakwind Storm
- U-turn
Tornadus-t is the first Regenerator user and the first Knock Off user.
Not much to say, taunt is good to prevent hazards or boosting moves and it also helps a lot vs stall matchup. U-turn is nice to have but heatwave is also good to cheap magearna.

alomomola.png

Alomomola @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 136 HP / 252 Def / 120 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Scald
- Wish
- Flip Turn
- Protect
Alomomola is the second Regenerator and helps the team stay healthy with Wish + Flip Turn. The set is standard, so there’s not much to say about it.

excadrill.png

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
Excadrill provides spin support and, if it manages to set up a Swords Dance, becomes an excellent late-game cleaner.

tyranitar.png

Tyranitar @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 4 SpA / 212 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
- Knock Off
- Ice Beam
Here is the second knock offer and rock setter, ttar also setup sand for cheap dmg (very useful into mewtwo) and for excadrill late game sweeping. Tyranitar’s spread is designed to be as bulky as possible while maximizing damage against Landorus and Mewtwo (both of which have good chances of being KO’d). Dragon Tail is used to shuffle opponents and prevent free setup. While Roar is a viable alternative, I preferred Dragon Tail for its damage and immunity to Taunt (though it can miss and is blocked by Fairy-types and certain Substitutes).
I went for tera ghost because it is generally good vs mewtwo and landorus and it helps me to prevent rapid spins.

arceus-poison.png

Arceus-Poison @ Toxic Plate
Ability: Multitype
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Gunk Shot
- Earthquake
- Recover
Arceus is there to absorb Toxic Spikes and leverage pivot moves, along with chip damage from Hazards and Sand, to secure kills. I initially considered a defensive set or one with Extreme Speed, but I find this set more fitting. Tera fire + Flare blitz was also interesting on this mon.

ogerpon-teal.png

Ogerpon (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Defiant
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spikes
- Ivy Cudgel
- Encore
- U-turn
A bulkier spread might be better, but the current one should work just fine.
In my opinion encore is too good to not play that move, and actually works well with the high speed and the +1 speed you obtain after pressing the tera. As i already said, knock off over u-turn could be better but i don't know because i haven't tested this team x.x, don't think removing spikes for knock off is a good choice but you can try it.
I used this mon before but since lando-t dropped out from uubers don't think defiant is that good anymore.

Hope you like it, have fun with the team!

Per the request of TrashFromNorway, I made a Defensive!Gouging Fire BO team, or at least tried to.
:gouging-fire::roaring-moon::magearna::landorus::ogerpon::terapagos:
Draft 1: https://pokepast.es/d4b2a5c1e5525c85
Draft 2: https://pokepast.es/c07c969586215138

Teambuilding Process for Draft 1: I eventually settled with the Gouging Fire set shown in the paste. It looks weird, but
1. At the time, I was coming off of a draft, and
2. It lets Gouging Fire do a couple of things at the same time with minimal investment.
To explain what the set does, 12 Atk guarantees the 2HKO on PhysDef!Magearna through lefties with heat crash, 8 Speed lets it outrun Standard!Tina, and 64 SpD in conjunction with max HP investment lets it tank one (1) Scarf!Lando-I's Earth Power from full HP. DTail is for phasing, Morning Sun is recovery, and Burning Bulwark is the only way it can semi-consistenly get burns off. Tera Grass is to resist EQ while being neutral to rock. Next up is Roaring Moon, because I wanted Knock Off alongside U-turn on the same mon, and while I would have liked to have added Rillaboom because I can stack priority on the team, the team structure is not the best for the gorilla. Choice Scarf is opted for here because it's the closest I can get to priority, and 240 speed on neutral lets it outspeed Neutral!Regieleki. The other moves are EQ for Steels, and Iron Head for fairies. Tera Steel inverts its fairy weakness. Next up is Magearna, who I opt a SpDef set for. It is the best spikesetter in the game, and is a great mon to just slap onto a team in general. After that is Lando-I, who is a ground AND fighting resist alongside being a good mon in Bulky Offense. I go with Life Orb for extra power, and add rocks for extra hazards. Also Tera Water to resist Ice. Next is Grasspon because I wanted another ground resist that could sweep physically, the former in particular being why its Hearthflame form wouldn't work. As for Ogerpon itself, I decided on an SD set. 192 Speed with Jolly lets it outrun Neutral!Regieleki after Embody Aspect does its thing, max Atk for what should be obvious, and the remainder into HP for general bulk. Ivy Cudgel is Leaf Blade on some powercreep, Low Kick is for Steels, and Knock is just nice to have. Lastly, I wanted a spinner and sweeper, which is where Terapagos comes in. The only thing I need to talk about is the 232 speed with a neutral nature to outspeed M2 after a spin while maintaining maximum power.

Edits for Draft 2: I altered Terapagos's EVs to give it more bulk at the expense of SpAtk. Because of calm mind, I feel I can forego some power, as I can gain it back with the setup move. I also refitted Lando's moveset by chaning out Sludge Wave and U-turn for Focus Miss and Psychic to give it better coverage into the tier.

Edit for the final version: I changed Grasspon to have Stomping Tantrum over Low Kick to better handle Magearna.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2264264854-c8ixcyifjrmwd4f79iopiiq4ms3yxszpw (Draft 1) (Here, we see RMoon working as a scarfer being able to revenge a +1 :gouging-fire:, and my own :gouging-fire: blunting the set up Poisonceus that Tera'd as well as the Zacian that was dragged out. Also Grasspon does a great job with cleaning up.)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2268550391 (Thanks to hazard support from Landorus and Magearna, :gouging-fire: was able to rack up a bunch of damage thanks to DTail, finishing off Lugia and essentially invalidating Bugceus and Bax when Lando got rocks back up, alongside neutralizing Solgaleo and threatening Magearna.)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2268557462?p2 (:gouging-fire: was easily handling a Zacian, and Dragon Tail was denying my opponent opportunities to keep the mons they wanted in on the field.)

Merry Christmas from me and the people of the UUbers discord that helped me fix this team JustCallMeFish . This Bulky Offense/Balance Arceus-Bug team was designed to be a well-rounded team capable of managing both stall and offense. The Arceus_Bug leverages its defensive profile to set up for earthquake or extreme speed. The Magearna is used to set up spikes and thunder wave mons. The Terapagos acts as speed control and a way to remove hazards, along with being a Lando check and being able to threaten weakened dragons with ice beam. Zacian acts as a general offensive tool with multiple types of coverage, as well as being a way to get the game back in control in the event both hazard removers are lost. Landorus acts as a rocks setter and runs a standard rocks plus 3a lorb set. The giratina acts as a counter to physical attackers, can remove hazards against ghost types, and can phase with dtail.

Teambuilding Process
1. Started off with the idea of specs gira with hex + t spikes thinking it would be funny. immediately realised that it was a pipe dream to actually pull it off and scrapped it.
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2266643375
2. Following my realisation I scrapped everything and put together and team of 6 with tera ghost band tina (this 6 ended up remaining till the final version).
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2266651241
3. I then loaded vs Kine on ladder and realised that having my main breaker who uses polter and a knock user on the same team was not a good idea.
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2266656484
4. I then began to realise that the real mc of the team was the funny dog, and that psynoise on lati should be luster after being called out by finch and pooshi.

tbh at first i thought that choice gira was never gong to get anything done, but after using it i actually quite liked it (its still kinda shite but its fun). as long as the opponent has no booster mons, balloon mons, darceus, and no terap/normals it cooks. most games i ended up teraing it cause the polter dmg was funny and so that i could leave gira in on mag cause the team kinda struggled to hit it otherwise. while the set does have 4 moves p much just clicked polter and on rare occasion sneak/d tail. polter calcs r very nice, tera ohkos zac, 2 hits any mag variant (u dont need tera for spdef but seeing it do 90 is funny), 2 hit arcs, ohko spdef tina.

IVs: 0 Spe

- Tickle
- Flip Turn

mola is just here to do its job, come in on physical hits (or to scout chiyu), wish up sometimes, and flip out. in combo with a breaker as bulky as gira it feels quite ez to pivot gira in and get it to receive a wish. tickle is there cause its just generally decent, but also cause i thought it would be funny to tickle smthing, flip to tina, and shadow sneak it for the kill. i think i managed to pull it off once or twice but idt i got the replay :tymp:.

:solgaleo:

house cat (Solgaleo) @ Leftovers
Ability: Full Metal Body
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Morning Sun
- Future Sight
- Roar
- Teleport

solgaleo is here cause i got bored of using mag tbh. loss of spikes isnt super bad cause team doesnt have knock for boots anyway. its just here as a pivot to get gira in and sometimes set a f sight, which is nice for zac and dealing with defensive poisonceus which was a bit of an issue for the team (wisp arc in general was a bit annoying), and it was a way for me to fit some phasing on the team.

:zacian:

saitama (Zacian) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Intrepid Sword
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

while the team was built around gira zacian ended kinda being the actual carry a lot of times, shocking. t fight cc to hit the normals gira cant was fun in theory (and practice to just hit things in general), but not being able to hit poisonceus was annoying. sub was somewhat helpful in dealing with the teams wisp arc weakness, and i wouldnt want to make it tb cause teraing gira is fun, so idk whatd u do with this set (it doesnt have to change but it felt awkward at times). this mon kinda carries the darceus mu in combination with wish support from alo.

:latios:

Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Draco Meteor
- Luster Purge
- Flip Turn

after testing on ladder (and only ladder) i have realised ppl dont respect the scarf trick. latios is here for lando (if its sludge wave its joever), to be a scarfer/speed control, and cause scarf trick is a great solution to a lot of things and forces a lot of mindgames: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ubersuu-2266708361-wlosb3m22x4rvf4qb635zlttmoh12xkpw. idk if lusterpurge drops r actually real though cause idt i had single game where they happened and were ueful.

Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Rapid Spin

since gira was finally being used to its true potential on this team i had to go elsewhere for hazard control, which ended up being terap. tera shell as always is a nice get out of jail free card if u fk up vs a number of sweepers. switching into ghost hits for gira is a nice theoretical synergy but idk if it actually came up for me. ended up vs a hazard stack with spdef gira one time and those hazards where never going away, not a fun mu.

overall team actually felt pretty good (VS LADDER) and i had fun using it. suprise factor of gira made more than one person question what was going on and run to the dmg calc after their mag got poltered. cant stress enough how irritating wisp poisonceus is to vs, but so long as ur not vs that or anything else that stops polter gira breaks suprisingly well (idt think any non resist/immunity actaully takes tera polter considering its has odds to 2 hit dozo). thx u for the prompt, first time ive actully had fun building smthing and merry christmas.

Draft 1: https://pokepast.es/de71d5aa55ab8124
I thought Hearthflame would be the better Pon because of her sweeping potential, and yes, she will steal the catalytic converter off of your car. However, finchely suggested grass Pon because she's a fast pivot and is one of the fastest Encore users after tera. It can Encore Roaring and Arceus-Dark, potentially forcing out switches so you can U-Turn or Knock Off.

The Team:
:ogerpon: - Already explained

:rillaboom: - I opp for AV instead of CB to boost its bulk so it can provide more recovery to the team. Plus, it lures lando so it can retaliate with tera steel. You can also not tera and kill with Wood Hammer. Not recommended, but it's funny.
252 SpA Sheer Force Landorus Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Rillaboom: 222-262 (65.1 - 76.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Rillaboom: 289-341 (84.7 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

252+ Atk Rillaboom Wood Hammer vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Landorus in Grassy Terrain: 297-351 (93.1 - 110%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Additionally, NP Mewtwo 2HKO Rilla with FB, so you can kill it.

:arceus-grass: - Arceus is the god of pokemon, so Arceus-Grass would be a green goddess (short for green goddess salad). Checks Palafin and Palkia-O if it doesn't run Fire Blast, and tera fairy blocks Tina's dtail to better sweep.

:palkia-origin: - Get it? 'Cause red beets taste earthy, and Palkia has Earth Power? Earth Power is to 2HKO physically defensive variants of Galarian Slowking.

:magearna:- This is another joke. Spinach is high in iron, and iron can be a component in steel. t-wave and encore hinders wallbreakers and sweepers that would threaten this team (especially offensive Arceus-Poison, fire Pon, and Gouging). It's physically defensive to better handle Zacian and retaliate with Fleur Cannon.

:terapagos: - Rapid spin equals blender. This is the last joke, I swear. Rilla's and Pon's Knock Off compliments its rocks, spin helps with the team's longevity, and Roar phazes out sweepers and racks damage.

Threats:
As mentioned in the Magearna section, offensive Arceus-Poison, Pon, and Gouging are the biggest threats. As for dealing with them? ...Yeah, good luck when you have three grass types. Your best bet is to:
  1. pivot, gradually racking damage (and maybe sack a mon) so you can come in with Palkia-O, or
  2. similar to 1, but you either t-wave or use encore, then come in with Palkia-O

Yo OceanicGamer I finished your Torn-T team
:tornadus-therian: :gastrodon-east: :blissey: :arceus-psychic: :giratina: :dondozo:
Didn't put too much thought into it tbh. Torn-T is seriously such a do-nothing mon outside of sort of but not really beating Lando-T (we have better checks for it anyways). You asked for offense but like, there's strictly just better ways of building around Landorus on offense (think Latios and Moltres + CM arc). I figured the one funny thing I could do with it tho, is to put it on stall since it has a faster taunt than arceus. Not really a great stall team and can't check everything but tera faerie is busted indeed so you can probably just play better and win.

Also jst don't use blissey to check Eleceus cause that's partly what gastro's for.

Banger team name if I do say so myself.

Merry Christmas :)

EDIT: s/o to JustCallMeFish for the banger team idea we love to see it

Sir Bazingatron the of team techs has been formalized.

:annihilape: :palkia-origin: :espathra: :cyclizar: :alomomola: :great-tusk:

My apologies

I am sorry if I messed up because I don't understand what techs are. So I just use techniques that surprises the enemy team. So Ii took a time to make intresting techniques against most common teams of the past and present. I also built this team around double regenerator because of few of my mons need substainability and got to go fast.

Your Special team

:annihilape:

Annihilape @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Defiant
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Rage Fist
- U-turn
- Final Gambit

I have used this sets before in a tournament before in which it did iffy but I do think it would be better in this meta.

The Job of Annihilape(homelessness before this team) is to pivot in on obvious resistance or immunites to boost up rage fist or to stop sweepers/threats to your team. Annihilape hp is both useful for rage fist shenigans and final gambit.

:palkia-origin:

Palkia-Origin @ Lustrous Globe
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Gravity
- Hydro Pump
- Spacial Rend
- Fire Blast

How many times you missed a crucial hydro pump in a game multiple times to lose a game you should've won? To me , Too many. I have a way to fix that with graviteeeeeeeee.

Palkia Oregano job is to set up gravity and create a swiss cheese against the enemy. Gravity is used also is liked on both espathra and great tusk. Idk what else to say because its palkia oregano.

:espathra:

Espathra @ Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hypnosis
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power
- Tera Blast

Ole emu birb , Ole emu birb how much I hate you.

This is the basic fishy espathra set but its more offensive. Why more offensive? Espathra has no sustainability on my set so it need to start going faster than a more bulky espathra on grassy terrain.

:cyclizar:

Cyclizar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Steel
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 20 SpD / 236 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Ice Spinner
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin
- Shed Tail

Idk a good quip for Cyclizar so bike goes vroom?

Cyclizar job is to be a going to be your lead of choice most of the time. It outspeeds everyone in this tier unless someone is running choice scarf zacian or regieleki. The job is to set up shed tail most of the time.

:alomomola:

Alomomola @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 104 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def / 148 SpD
Impish Nature IVs: 30 Spe
- Scald
- Wish
- Mirror Coat
- Flip Turn

Is this a luvdisc evolution?

The statspread is just for one mon, magearna. A max hp no spa magearna would get ohko if it click volt switch on alomomomola. It also just the classic alomomomomomomla set but with mirror coat.

:great-tusk:
Great Tusk @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Bulk Up
- Stealth Rock

This was quick change, it used to be trailblaze ursaluna but I change it because it didnt fit the team.

This is an average great tusk set

Conclusion

This is pure cooking but after writing this idk if it master chef material but remember the saying f it we ball.

Hello Dorron !

You were one of the first players i ever met in Ubers UU ladder, so its a big pleasure to build smth for u!

Bulkyrona Balance
:volcarona: :landorus: :terapagos: :arceus-poison: :magearna: :alomomola:

Lets begin with the star of the team: Bulkyrona

This set is incredibly annoying (i know because i got 6-0 in a match recently) and over powerful. Some of the biggests ways to deal with it is with Stealth Rocks and Toxic, so how to deal with it??
Since we are not running subs or smth on Bulkyrona that can avoid that status, why not using Safeguard? Alomomola run it and with Flip Turn to pivot into Bulkyrona, both make an absurd connection, making it easy to deal against status.
For Stealth Rocks, we running Terapagos, which can deal with it very well with Toxic and Tera Stellar Tera Starstorm, being a big threat to block spinners, like Giratina.
We can not forget about Magearna, being the GOAT of the tier, with spikes and twave spam.
Arceus-Poison do a amazing job here, finishing the remnant of the opp team, with Dragon Dance and Tera Normal E-Speed (if needed).
By last, Landorus do a good job being one of the greatests speed control, and with Scarf and all the pressure on Giratina and Alomomola by Bulkyrona and Terapagos.

Happy Holidays!

Shadow079 Here's the Wo-Chien team
:wo-chien::palkia-origin::magearna::arceus-grass::regieleki::zacian:

Building Process
:Wo-chien: Went with SubSeed, does an okayish job at bullying the tier's fatmons
:palkia-origin::magearna: TWave on these guys helps Wo-Chien do its thing
:arceus-grass: Props up our defensive core a bit
:regieleki: Immediate speed control and hazard removal is helpful
:zacian: Gives us more avenues to winning and takes advantage of CM Taunt Arc forms

Replays
Wo-Chien beats a DD Arc-Poison with help from the TWave guys
Wo-Chien Knocks Gira into Spikes range and takes out HOger
Wo-Chien scouts Lando's set (it didn't do very much)

Surprise abra xdd

The star of Today's team is Mr Dugtrio himself, so let's take a look at him.

:dugtrio:
Duggy Dug (Dugtrio) @ Choice Band
Ability: Arena Trap
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 32 HP / 128 Atk / 252 SpD / 96 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Sucker Punch
- Stone Edge

This dug has one job and it is to ruin :Magearna:'s day, due to its bulky spread its able to switch into a uninvested fleur cannon with stealth rocks up, then do irreparable to the tin can. Dug also pairs fantastically with our next mon, :Lokix:
The calcs
0 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 32 HP / 252 SpD Dugtrio: 174-205 (79.4 - 93.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
128 Atk Choice Band Dugtrio Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Magearna: 324-384 (89.2 - 105.7%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO - doesn't always kill but leaving mag that weak is fantastic for the rest of the team.

:lokix:
Gameianc Ocean (Lokix) @ Choice Band
Ability: Tinted Lens
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- First Impression
- Sucker Punch

:Lokix: pairs incredibly well with the above :Dugtrio: as Mag is one of the few mons thats actually able to switch into lokix and not mind it. Lokix is also one of our two cleaners on this team able to demolish in late game scenarios once the opponents been sufficiently chipped. Lokix is also able to u-turn into our next mon on anything it can't break to obliterate.

:landorus:
Bandorus (Landorus) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Earth Power
- Weather Ball
- U-turn
- Rock Slide

This is a pretty stando lando, wait no its not. Lando does lando things, clicks buttons and kills crap. Rock Slide is so that this team doesn't get 6-0'd by Moltres. Now as for why Weather ball you'll just have to wait and see.
Calc or something: 0 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Rock Slide vs. 248 HP / 248+ Def Moltres: 348-411 (90.8 - 107.3%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

:latios: ? Did I really not have enough non-ubers on this team?
Pizazz (Latios) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flip Turn
- Draco Meteor
- Luster Purge
- Ice Beam

We needed speed and here it is, lati clicks buttons and has fun. Its also faster than any non scarfer and with its pivot makes great opportunities. Really just this latios solves a bunch of problems and overall makes a fantastic addition to the team.

:Slowking-Galar:
Opportunity (Slowking-Galar) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Chilly Reception
- Toxic Spikes
- Hex
- Acid Spray

Hey look, some bulk on the team. Slowking's goal is to slow pivot our to one of our other heavy hitters. You could probably replace this mon with an Alomomola but I found tspikes to be more useful overall. Acid Spray is also just a nice touch and Chilly Reception allows Lando to Weather Ball Ice other Landos.

Lastly we have another proper Uber on the team
:Zacian:
Cyan (Zacian) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Intrepid Sword
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Play Rough
- Close Combat
- Wild Charge
- Swords Dance

Pretty standard :Zacian: set, with the added note of :dugtrio: killing Magearna's allows Zacian to SD into Tera Fairy and then many teams will just crumble. A fantastic cleaner and seeing opportunities for Zac to setup and win is critical for winning.

And thats the team, hope you have fun with it.

"A balance/bulky balance team with leech seed. I don't care which mon uses it, I just think it's an underutilized move rn with some good potential." gm KineSquared
:Ogerpon-Hearthflame::Magearna::Mandibuzz::Regieleki::Giratina::Arceus-Poison:

I would've loved to lean more into a bulkier Leech Seed Pokemon but everything else looked so mediocre, so might as well take the most advantage of Leech Seed with this team. Ogerpon-H can get blanked by bulky Dragons and Fires after the intial Knock Off, and the Pokemon that came to mind most, was Giratina. Giratina's got a fat hp pool and is often tasked with checking many threats, so I chose to try and overwhelm it.

Firepon is quite difficult to get on the field, with its bulk and hazard weakness. So reliable pivots and hazard removal were my next add. Team is centred around Firepon, with Leech Seed and Toxic proividing ways to wittle down Giratina. My own Giratina was next, Firepon is pretty slow and I wanted a Dragon-type for the resistances, so it worked out. Defog on Giratina is an option if desperate, but seems unnecessary. Arceus-Poison was last, another Pokemon that loves Giratina getting chipped and has the ability to just run away with games.

I'd love to provide replays but ladder felt like using Tera Blast Flying Porygon, HO, and Focus Sash Yanmega (not leading), and I'm too tired to try again.

Kizaco Masquerain webs
:masquerain: :gholdengo: :landorus: :zacian: :terapagos-terastal: :Arceus poison:

Masquerain can run whatever set you want, but these moves aim to paralyze mons like Magearna who will try to set up hazards early on the game. Pounce is to hit Deoxys-Speed and not to rely on Stun Spore to temporarily lower Speed. Bug Buzz is just to hit whatever, you can also go Hurricane for better coverage and hitting stronger.

The rest of the team is pretty straightforward, Gholdengo to block Rapid Spin and Defog with Air Balloon helping with the likes of Earth Power Terapagos, Landorus and Arceus Poison. Rock Slide hits Moltres which can be a problem for the team, and realistically you are always hitting with Earth Power unless there's an opposing Flying-type in the field. Zacian has Tera Fire + Fire Fang, dealing a minimum of 90% and you don't need to Tera to use your Fire-type move. It also helps with Moltres as you can set up while being immune to burns. Psychic Fangs is the last move to hit Moltres with neutral damage while hitting the Poison-types that usually wall Zacian like Toxapex and Arceus-Poison. Terapagos is the only viable spinner for a Hyper Offense team besides maybe Great Tusk, but we were also lacking a Ghost-type resist. Dark Pulse to hit the Ghost-types who might come and try to block our Rapid Spin. Timid is needed to outspeed Zacian after a boost, which is one of the biggest threats to Webs teams. Finally, Poisonceus is the Arceus of choice. Realistically, you could have even used Arceus-Grass with the same set but running Recover over Gunk Shot and a bulkier spread, since we are lacking a reliable Palafin check, but I wanted a mon that didn't need set up to hit hard.

Honestly, an easy way to make the team better is running Cutiefly over Masquerain. And Leavanny over Cutiefly. And Galvantula over Leavanny.

Merry Christmas Tizio Potente Ao! I've got you a calm mind Lugia Team. Shoutouts to IcyScream for helping build
This Lugia is a Landorus
:Lugia: :Alomomola: :Arceus-Poison: :Regieleki: :Magearna: :Mewtwo:

The main event is of course this lugia set:
Lugia-Incarnate (Lugia) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Earth Power
- Dragon Tail
- Recover

Earth power is a REALLY good attacking move when paired with dragon tail. Magearna gets EP'd, You have a surprising ability to 1v1 a zacian, Landorus or opposing lugia get dragon tailed out, you can outspend a phazing giratina (physical giras are a pain tho), grass types don't exist besides hogerpon. You're eating pretty good as an endgame wincon.

Lugia loves some wish support, scald, and a pivot so that brings in alomomola :alomomola:. The arc-poison :arceus-poison: set takes advantage of this same idea to run recover-less DD with taunt, and regieleki :regieleki: brings in hazards and speed control, as well as threatening tera on lando/giratina that lugia CAN deal with but would prefer not to. Magearna :Magearna: and mewtwo :Mewtwo: just because they're excellent mons that can help with a lot. I went through a couple variations and wanted to show the others, but consider the top one your best bet. They still used the same lugia set tho

:Lugia: :Regieleki: :Magearna: :Giratina: :Arceus-Poison: :Raging Bolt: Electric Spam
:Lugia: :Landorus: :Gholdengo: :Samurott-Hisui: :Cyclizar: :Arceus-Electric: Double Landorus HO

There are a few people who still haven't gotten their teams. I've reached out to the people assigned to them, and either they said "one more day" which I granted, or they haven't responded. For the non-responders, I've found people outside the secret santa willing to teambuild. Maybe the people who didn't respond are still planning a team, and you'll get two, but this way everyone gets at least one by tomorrow night.

https://pokepast.es/740b482f72836efa
Merry christmas Pajoomas! Here is your thundy-t team as requested. I refrained from webs because he felt like he fit a more bulky offensive style that webs isn't built for. Due to this I am a decent bit outside my domain but I hope it's still fun! I ran some games with this team on ladder and it has preformed solidly. You are very cool and I hope you enjoy :3
I decided to run a regen AV thundorus-t because it felt like the best use of the ability. Despite the rocks weakness you can still switch in and recover health if rocks manage to go up. I paired that with a standard-ish landorus set because I think that the ground and flying coverage complement each other well and the ability to pivot between them and from them to other offensive pressures leads to a very solid core. Being a team I made, I opted for a more unorthodox zacian set aimed at being able to surprise and win against other zacian as well as giving it the tools to cover magerna. Swords dance might also be good on this set if you drop sacred sword but I feel they're both interchangable. Mewtwo is standard-ish 4 attacks + life orb, it can sweep late game once its problem matchups (the obvious dark types + bulky special walls like mag) get out of the way or break in the midgame versus some more bulky teams. Aura sphere because focus miss is horrible and fighting coverage is ideal. Urshifu water is amazing into more offensive teams since it outspeeds most of them with scarf and can kill through sash. Last slot went through many changes until I ended up on ogerpon wellspring. It being pretty bulky and having a water immunity helps it versus some problems I found on ladder and it is a standard sweeper set. I feel my rusty-ness in the format almost certianly shows with certian team choices but I wanted to make something fun and that felt like I made it, and I think I did a pretty good job. Is it the best moveset with these 6 mons? probably not but I think it is solid enough and is fun. This took me a while because december is always a busy month for me, but I hope you like it :3

Secret Santas Are Distributed! If you didn't get one and thought you were supposed to, dm me. Post your finished teams between December 23rd and 27th. Happy Holidays!
https://pokepast.es/adaa2d3bf6ae19ee some people say I'm late, I'm fashionably late. this team is for Tanny89k who asked for a Offense or balance featuring Spectrier. Keep in mind that I've played a grand total of like 5 UUbers games. The teams only issue is that its ass so you gotta actually play the game to use it. im a horrible team builder. Merry Christmas Tanny!

:arceus-electric: :gouging-fire: :giratina: :landorus: :solgaleo: :urshifu-rapid-strike:

Hello Finchely, I took over your secret santa team featuring a DD Arceus-Electric. DD Arc-Electric was something I've built before, but only ever on HO. This time, I wanted to try and build something with a bit more of a defensive backbone, since I know you aren't a huge fan of HO. Unsurprisingly, this wasn't as easy as HO, as DD Arc-Electric has a lot of flaws, especially in deciding what moves to run. Overall, this was a fun challenge, and let's get into the team breakdown.

The Team:

:bw/arceus-electric:
Arceus-Electric @ Zap Plate
Ability: Multitype
Tera Type:
Dragon
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
Adamant Nature
-
Dragon Dance
- Supercell Slam
-
Outrage
- Recover

As this was the requested mon, I will cover this one first. DD Arceus-Electric is a very funny mon that got a viable physical electric move in Supercell Slam during DLC2. However, due to Arceus-Electric's rather poor physical coverage options, it doesn't make much use of this currently. Previously, we have seen people try running Tera Water Liquidation + Recover to patch up the lack of strong move to hit ground types. Personally, I preferred running 3 Attacks with Ice Beam and Earthquake to really punish most of the metagame. However, the lack of Recover on that set makes it difficult to put onto non-HO teams. Physical Arc-Electric's biggest issues currently are the inability to hit Giratina and Landorus / other Grounds, since Zap Plate boosted Supercell Slam does enough to most neutral targets. To remedy that, I decided to go possibly the funniest non-Avalanche route, with Tera Dragon Outrage. This allows Arc-Electric to hit the Dragons, mostly Giratina, and the Grounds hard enough to open up its stronger stab moves. Tera Dragon is unfortunately required to power through Giratina, since non-STAB Outrage doesn't punch holes like its predecessor Arceus-Dragon's Draco Plate boosted one. Recover fits nicely in the last slot, allowing Arceus to have some form of defensive presence, longevity, and eases set up chances. The EV spread allows Arceus to outrun Lando-I neutrally so Arceus can potentially revenge kill it or beat Scarf Landos in endgame scenarios.

gougingfire.gif

Gouging Fire @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Atk / 232 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Tail
- Morning Sun

Following up Arceus-Electric is Gouging Fire, one of my favorite mons in the tier to use at the current moment. With its substantial bulk and passable Attack, Gouging Fire makes for a good partner with Physical Arc-Electric. Gouging's main benefit is that it cannot be burned by Giratina before Tera, allowing it to force in other Physical walls or heavily dent any Giratina that try to take it one. If the Giratina Teras, then Arceus can use its more powerful STAB to beat it down later in the game. Gouging also helps threaten other physically defensive Steels like Magearna and Solgaleo who could pose problems for Arceus. The main flaw is obviously Gouging's subpar speed, but that is patched up by the slower targets it aims to set up on. With Tera Fairy, Gouging is able to leverage its bulk to set up on most mons in the metagame, bar opposing Arceus forms. I chose Dragon Tail to go with this combo to help chip away at opposing Arceus forms with the Rocks set by Landorus. Dragon Tail + Tera Fairy also allows it to set up in front of a Dragon Tailing Giratina, then Dragon Tail it out as a surprise allowing for more set up chances or enabling a sweep. Boots + Morning Sun allow Gouging to have more longevity on this bulkier team, especially with the lack of hazard control. While the lack of Booster Energy greatly hampers Gouging's damage output, the trade off is well worth it in this case. This EV spread allows Gouging to outrun Zacian at +1 Speed.

:bw/Giratina:
Giratina @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpD / 24 Spe
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Dragon Tail
- Hex
- Rest
Any non-HO teen needs a Giratina in the current meta IMO. This is my standard Sp.Def Giratina that works as a blanket check to Lando-I, Mewtwo, CM Arceus Forms, and many more passive pokemon. There's nothing too special to say about this mon, if you've played balance/BO you know what Giratina does. I opted for Dragon Tail over Roar because I prefer its damage, but Roar is a very viable option with the general lack of Taunt currently. Rest allows Giratina to stick around for most of the game if need. 24 Speed is just general Speed creep to win the Hex or Dragon Tail wars with other Giratina.

:bw/landorus:
Landorus @ Life Orb
Ability:
Sheer Force
Tera Type:
Ghost
EVs:
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

IVs: 0 Atk
-
Stealth Rock
-
Earth Power
-
Psychic
-
Focus Blast

Landorus provides this team a strong special breaker to support the two physical DD Mons mentioned previously, while also providing extremely valuable Stealth Rocks to make Giratina's and Gouging Fire's Dragon Tails even more punishing. The rest of the set is extremely standard. Psychic to hit opposing Landorus and any other potential midground targets. Focus Blast hits Arceus-Dark, E-Killer Arceus, and all the other flying Birds that attempt to check Landorus. Tera Ghost is to help with E-Killer Arceus in conjunction with Focus Blast while still resisting Arceus-Poison's Gunk Shot if required, with the added benefit of not being weak to opposing Landorus' Earth Power like Tera Steel. Landorus also serves as an emergency check to opposing Landorus if Giratina is too low.

solgaleo.gif

Solgaleo @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability:
Full Metal Body
Tera Type:
Flying
EVs:
248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
-
Teleport
-
Sunsteel Strike
-
Knock Off
- Morning Sun

Phys.Def Solgaleo serves as a slow pivot to get in the powerful breakers like Landorus and Gouging Fire, while soft checking Zacian. In conjunction with Giratina, Solgaleo helps handle almost all Physical threats to the team. Sunsteel allows Solgaleo to hit Zacian much harder, even after Tera; and deals non-insignificant damage to other threats like Arceus. Knock Off helps enable the Dragon Tail spamming from the 2 Dragons by removing Boots and Leftovers, while having the plus side of weakening any offensive threat that tries to set up in front of it that isn't named Arceus or Ogerpon. Tera Flying allows it to dodge Tera Blast from Tera Ground Zacian and potential Earthquakes from Arceus before Teleporting out into a mon that can deal with them better.

:sv/urshifu-rapid-strike:
Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Unseen Fist
Tera Type:
Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-
U-turn
- - Surging Strikes
-
Close Combat
-
Ice Punch

Finally, Urshifu-Rapid-Strike rounds out the team providing much needed help in the immediate speed control department. Urshifu-Rapid helps with the otherwise quite middling natural speed of the team thus far, while also putting more pressure on the Grounds, especially Tera Ground Zacian. Rapid is an effective revenge killer for most things that are gonna be killing the offensive threats, and even some of the defensive ones. U-turn allows it to not be deadweight versus Giratina and Palkia-Origin in the early game, and Ice Punch allows it to have some nice hax chances or endgames vs Giratina or Arceus-Grass. Tera Water greatly boosts Surging Strikes power to the point that it becomes extremely spammable, especially once the Dragons are gone. Urshifu greatly appreciates the pressure Gouging Fire and Arceus-Electric put onto Alomomola, so it doesn't have to worry about that as much. Unfortunately, it is still quite weak to Rocky Helmet due to the multi-hit nature of Surging Strikes, but there's nothing to be done there. (I'm very sad this guy doesn't have a bw sprite...)
Conclusion:
This was a very fun team to build and test, especially because I got to use some fun mons. Originally I tried out both Zacian and Urshifu-Single Strike, and both didn't fit nearly as well as the final version of this team. I really hope you enjoy using this gift, because I definitely did. Hey Celestiial, here's the team you asked for! I spent a bit longer on this one because I'm really not the best at teambuilding, but I wanted to be something you could actually tinker with and play, so here goes.

I have no idea how to put those little sprites in :(

Anyways Mewtwo is a pretty simple Lorb NP set that takes advantage of the raw power of modest Lorb Psystrike to force switches for recovers and NPs. with webs up it can absolutely dominate with the exception of a boots Zacian. Modest because Focus Blast was way too unreliable in testing and +2 modest aura sphere ohkos physdef mag and arc-dark anyways.

Araquanid comes next, this is a bulky but speedy set with endure custap to ensure that webs go up. Nothing can ohko this on the special side, so I thought it'd be better to put EVs into speedcreeping mag. Other than that, scary face is a good option for turn 2 scenarios in front of dd sweepers such as Arc-Poison and Gouging Fire. Honestly it's a toss-up whether to run surf or liquidation here, but I decided on liquid because the team has a lot of special attackers anyways.

This Dragapult set proved very useful in testing actually. Having something faster than Zacian that could revenge with willo (through a sub) and live anything that came back was really nice. Curse is on this set mostly to force out things like setup Arceus or defensive Setup like cm Tina should you run into it. I prefer it over Shadow Ball or Hex here just because the damage is so abysmal.

Arc-Poison is DD taunt. On webs I think it's better to have taunt to prevent defog, especially against Tina who is a pretty common answer to dd Arc-Poison. However, taunt also stops roar and willo, which is incredibly useful. Outrage threatens Tina and is worth clicking on Arc-Poison a lot of the time because Magearna doesn't threaten you unless it's twave.

Mag is Demon Mag, enough said.

This Goug set is really fun. 236 speed EVs makes you faster than everything in webs, faster than Zacian after a DD, while still letting you run adamant booster ATK. Speaking of, this thing's booster turns it into an OHKO machine at +1. Definitely the MVP of this team.

All in all, this team is definitely rough around the edges, and could use some work, but I loved building and playing with it, and I hope you will too!
