ok imma be fr with yall, if u dont like how ou is rn, or the palafin suspect (cannot blame u), legit just go take a break. play a different format, or even try out some other hobbies. this isnt a hostage situation, we arent forcing u to play ou

A lot of us are off work or school for the holidays can u just start the dolphin test today finchi?
It’ll start later tonight. I work until 5pm, need to handle dinner after I get off work, and then pack as I start vacation tomorrow morning out of the country. I’ll handle the suspect entirely after that and expect it up between 8pm and midnight GMT-5

The grass and electric type avengers:

Rillaboom: Hulk
Wogerpon: Captain America
Meowscarada: Black Widow (I guess)
Zapdos: Hawkeye
Raging Bolt: Thor
Iron Hands: Iron Man

Palafin: Not Thanos because it sure as hell doesn't stand a chance against these guys xD

No, I'd still Palafin is Thanos, because as soon as it gets its hands on the Infinity Teras, it can eliminate half of all stall teams with just a snap of its fingers.

XD true and I predict that Palafin's best tera will be tera dra- wait a minute *looks at the teambuilder* why do so many pokemon use tera dragon now?

Ok but in all seriousness I am starting to see tera dragon become a bit of a trend and I can see why. Resistances to fire grass water and electric is pretty insane. Sure it is weak to some pretty damn good offensive types in ice fairy and itself but I think for a lot of pokemon the pros outweigh the cons.

Welp I guess it's time for me to come out of lurking to help shed the light on what is causing not just the Hazard situation, but the predominance of Offense too, because clearly unbanning Palafin is going to potentially make those two problems more worse

And speaking of Palalfin, did you guys know that it learns Outrage and Iron Head? I didn't knew this until earlier today

I didn’t say this, but we aren’t going to test Kyurem in the next month or two still in all likelihood. It was jusr tested in September / October.
Fair enough. I think Kyurem + random half broken threats sort of prevent any bulkier playstyles from being playable for anyone but very high level players but I doubt anything will be banned.

Call it Kyurem, cuz Palafin has suspect test plot armor (sort of).

I personally don't entirely subscribe to it's return, but i'm learning to be more optimistic. The way I see it, Palafin can have a few things happen. It's either broken and doesn't get oficially reinstated to the OU tier, in which case, the OU discussion room can finally stop going off on page-long tangents about Metro Man's Finsona. If it's actually fine for the tier for now, then we play around it accordingly. If it becomes a problem down the road, it just gets retested. Theorymon whatever timeline you want, but Freeze hard reallity will say more than whatever headcanons we make up.

All I ask for everyone in Smogon is to keep your Alomomola's Relaxed, and with reliable Helmets for protection, as the road beyond will be quite Rocky.

Yeah guys I wonder if the 160 base attack water type with box art legendary stats, an aqua jet on steroids, and all the coverage it could ever ask for is broken? This might be the biggest waste of time in OU history, remind me why is this is getting tested before tera blast again?

I think it’s definitely playable and the metagame itself disproves your argument really. There has been plenty of balance in tours and on ladder.
You’re better informed and a far better player than me so I’ll defer to you, but most people I talk to say the metagame is extremely offense heavy. Yeah, very high level players in tournaments can use balance. I guess that’s your focus and who the meta is built for. If the problematic mons in the tier pressure one archetype, I don’t think it’s crazy to say it’s not great to use.

what are peoples thoughts on the bulkier tera ground dd roost moon that has skyrocketed recently on high ladder? it feels extremely strong, especially into para mons, and you barely even feel the loss of acro into val and tusk

I'm not sure where the Tera Blast discussion is at currently, but I felt like I should ask: Is it just me, or is Tera Blast Fairy Kingambit becoming more common?
