My First Non-Weather Team

Gengar (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 86 Atk/252 Spd/172 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Explosion

A decent counter, to many pokemon. Explode on BLissey's face when they switch her in. Thunderbolt for gyaras. Hidden Power for dragons. Shadow Ball is for stab. EV's are set to give Explosion more chance to Kill Blissey and sweep.

---
Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/108 Def/148 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rest
- Ice Beam
- Reflect
- Sleep Talk

Smogon standard set.
---
Garchomp (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 100 HP/158 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Outrage
- Fire Blast

A Bulkchomp set. EV's are set to withstand Ice attacks and activate salac. Earthquake for STAB. Swords Dance to boost stats. Outrage is my preffered choice, for some occasions this can ruin even Pokemon that resists it. Fire Blast is to cover chom when not fully set up.

---
Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 200 HP/200 Atk/52 Def/52 SAtk
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Electric]

Swampert my favorite tank. I made it Semi Defensive and offensive. Surf is great for STAB. Ice beam can put a dent on dragons. Earthquake for STAB. Hidden Power kills gyaras who think they can set up.

---
Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 6 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Explosion
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Overheat

Heatran will switch in to an expected fire attack then over heat it. Switch out or explode when you expext Blissey to come and ruin your fun.
---
Lucario (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake

Excellent for late game or once you have set up completely. Standard set. Even skarmory will get bruises when facing lucario.

---

This team has given me problems and wins. I want to know how perect this set more. I am not fond of using walls that much as I am bad at using them. Cresselia is there to soak up attacks and let my pokemon have a chance to retaliate. Please give suggestions of my first non weather team please.

I'm not liking. Switch to an all special modest ScarfGar and trade Explosion for Focus blast. If your thinking Gar's fast enough make it Timid With specs.

Hasty/Naive over Jolly. Choose whatever gives you less grief.

Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd) or Relaxed or Quiet

You could just give it roar. Gengar can deal with 'Dos anyway.
---
Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 6 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest
- HP:Ice
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower/Lava plume
- Overheat

Heatran will switch in to an expected fire attack then over heat it. Switch out or explode when you expext Blissey to come and ruin your fun.

Heatran needs the power. You seem obsessed with killing blissey, seriously Lucario owns it.

Lucario (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Inner Focus

Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed

Pick one otherwise Gengar walls you.

To Aki:
When Lucario or my physical sweepers die, they can get walled by Blissey with ease. I have run into this problem one too many times. Specs allows me to use one move enabling my opponent to switch a pokemon that can resist it and set up on me. I have run Chomp sets many times. Bulkchomp with the Sword dances and the salac boost is very helpful. Well that is the problem, if gengar dies who can take down a gyara with a certain amount of Dragon dances pumped into it? Hetran's explosion helps when in late game. He can pick of opponents who can otherwise pick the rest of t he team. Gar's explosions works the same aspect as well. I want to run unexpected yet effective sets to gain an advantage. The Lucario move suggestion is very intriguing.

To: lolerlol
The idea of that counter gar sounds good to use.

To: DFA
Many times Cresselia has used Reflect and Ice beam which is pretty good for me.

Yea...

Prediction is the key. If you Fire Blast their Bronzong and they switch to heatran, you know next time to Earth power the heatran switch in.
I have run Chomp sets many times. Bulkchomp with the Sword dances and the salac boost is very helpful.
I'm not saying it's not, just i have a problem with joly on chomp because he's already got a shitpile for Special attack.
Well that is the problem, if gengar dies who can take down a gyara with a certain amount of Dragon dances pumped into it?
No-one on your team atm.
Hetran's explosion helps when in late game. He can pick of opponents who can otherwise pick the rest of t he team. Gar's explosions works the same aspect as well. I want to run unexpected yet effective sets to gain an advantage.
Well exploding a third of your team isnt doing anything for you.
The Lucario move suggestion is very intriguing.

Remember that what if scenario's are "What if" FOr example, if you have a mixape weak team and chuck BulkyStar on there somewhere to counter it, of course your teams gonna be mixape weak when starmie's dead.

Also Roar on Swampy would help more with the DD Gyara thing than HP Ele IMHO.
