In a world where you have an epic suck team and everyone knows exactly how to play and react without mid day advice sure - but the pre requisite is that the scum team is stacked as fuck for that to happen and can outplay the huge nerf (they were probably compensated in other ways for the nerf too). So you’re just saying a really good scum team is managing to win.

Mafia can always win because town can always shit the bed, but for consistency and winning scum games reliably long term then team coordination is really important, especially if you have say some stronger and some weaker players, because it not only allows the weaker players to take on the knowledge and adapt with the help of a more experienced player, it allows the experienced player to keep a foot on the pedal. Half the time mafia’s biggest mistake is fumbling under pressure, which you can shout at people to not do in scum chat, especially eod decision making can be really hard.

There’s no new mafia players (other than des but she won’t have discord), so yeah it kinda circles around to that the experienced players can’t coordinate.

not really, im streaming the spl auction in 1 hour and i have all of the anxiety though. my current thought based on active convo is that im assuming maf are powerful due to no daytalk

No that was the main one, i think it rang towny and im happy to leave it there for day 1 at least - i think regardless of dbd alignment its a weird post to make as mafia

Half tempted to move mekkah to town lost though he’s not really done much to deserve it he seems tonally towny but I do expect mekkah to have good tone anyways tbf

I would be less bothered if this wasn't the first follow-through issue fwiw.

wrt cut post, I guess defining as new is hard but e.g. Mekkah has played a lot of OC but no(?) NOC, Blazade is not a big NOCer, etc. The skillsets are so different the experience with D1 doesn't really translate imo. (It does more later in the game though.)

It's only slightly townie if DBD is town imo. Tbh it's further the opposite in that if DBD flipped maf I'd be wary, but without flips I'm calling it null.

I'm happy to not touch Mekkah today, it feels like they'd be more sortable later into the game.

Where are you on Skip? iirc you haven't said anything about them.

My eyes glazed at them and although they have been miselim bait historically, I’ve not been one to push them those times I think?

In fact I think I townread him right the last few games but not seeing that here so he would go slightly below the null line for me but there’s nothing glaring just vote right now

Yeah I think skip is giving me the same sort of feeling as vizh where they’re posting content that looks solvy, but it seems forced and like some reads just fall flat or look TMIish, but skip also has had some decent posts and apparently he’s like this as town, I think vish is prob a better info lynch asw.

I think 385 is the only one of the two with good conviction, but I don’t see how it’s based on established anything in order for that to be supporting them
