It's time for the our third annual 1v1 OGPL, starting off with deciding team managers. Only post in this thread if you would like to sign up to manage a team, player signups will be released after managers have been chosen. Everyone is required to sign up if you wish to manage with no exceptions. You are allowed to sign up as a solo manager (i.e. you do not necessarily have to sign up with an assistant manager.) Managers will be chosen based on a number of factors, such as prior experience in team tour leadership, experience with the 1v1 metagame, and general good behavior on Smogon and PS!. The following format should be used:

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):

*Note: There are no official franchises or team names, however, previous team names are encouraged to be reused.

There will be a total of 6 teams. Playoffs will feature the top 3 seeds. The #1 seed gets a bye while the #2 and #3 seeds will fight in the semifinals.

The format is still being discussed and is negotiable, but the current proposal is as follows:
  • SS 1v1 Bo7
  • SM 1v1 Bo7
  • ORAS 1v1
  • BW 1v1
  • DPP 1v1
  • ADV 1v1
  • Weekly Bo5 Flex Slot (SS - GSC)
  • Weekly Bo5 Flex Slot (SS - GSC)
Manager signups will close January 12th. The hosts (lost heros, Heika, and bea ) will announce the selected managers and open player signups shortly afterwards.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): hp bar have participated in a few team tours including HGPL, and TPP although he didn't have the best performance as a new player he did well and I have learned the basics to managing teams from my experience. I has also played in a few team tours like me including HPL and even though were both rookies we do have the experience to manage a team gained from the team tours we've been in.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):

I was an assistant manager for the RPS Rhydons in OGPL I and managed the Stolen Spectres to a win in OGPL II alongside delemon. I also was retained by the RPS Rhyperiors in 1v1 PL VII and 1v1 PL VIII, and served as a shadow manager for both teams, and the teams got to semifinals in PL VII and finals in PL VIII. I also am one of the former tier leaders for BW 1v1 and can also build and play DPP at a decent level, and am able to be slotted in any slot when given support, as seen when I slotted in three different tiers to deal with irl situations of team members.

Delemon is the 2022 1v1 Circuit Champion (when the circuit was in SS), won multiple classic cups in the most recent year's 1v1 Classic, and is one of the best 1v1 players around today. She managed the Stolen Spectres last year alongside me to an OGPL win and was also the manager of the Playful Panchams in 1v1 PL VII. She also can play most tiers that are represented in this tournament at a high level, and supports almost all my weaknesses in managing really well.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I managed gogoats in OGPL II and managed PL and WC last year as well. I managed WC with neomon specifically so he's definitely awesome too

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I won 1v1PL last year, played from India since last 2 years in 1v1WC, made it to the 1v1 circuit 2024. Managed SMPL III, NDWC, other discord PLs like ISPL, BTWC, etc.
On the other hand, my assistant manager Bern has managed 1v1PL, EPL, and 1v1WC last year. He is also the tiering Council of 1v1 and has hosted a lot of 1v1 tours.
We both have actively joined and played 1v1 tours and promise to provide a healthy environment to the team.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): While neither of us have experience managing, we both have extensive team tournament experience which will help us in selecting and supporting a strong team. I won the previous OGPL and Marshmelto was recently a Classic finalist. We have both been active in the 1v1 community for many years and would like to gain experience in team tour management.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I have a few managing experience from some really small PL on discord, i and lialiabeast both know pretty well policies etc due to hosting team tournaments. Lialiabeast play 1v1 teamtours since OGPL 1, and i played on OGPL 1, PL VII and WC 8 (and i ended being more useful than some co-manager during umpl or rufpl for example). We also both know 1v1 playerbase and tiers, as Lialiabeast won BOTH Classic and World Cup this year and i also won World Cup, and i am pretty active on the community.

for fun shivam told me to make a CA and cuz space bar i think a waiter would fit well LOL also the "he didnt have the best performance" was for shivam not for winning no games in hpl not me that kid has a malfunction wtf >:( bro edited it and edited it in the worst way ever, i have not lost anything bruh

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I won last ogpl, am captaining world and I have a pretty good track record as a player.

My powerful co manager smbz is well versed in everything oldgens and has displayed his talent as a player through many team tournaments.
