Oh sorry, didn't check the last post. Yea, unless you get another parent (ditto) with more flawless Ivs it's not too likely you'll get four IVs from the Beldum to pass =/

Ben has a redistributable adamant ditto w/ 2 Flawless Ivs, you may want to start there.

probably when i get my wifi back. i will try to breed gastlys for this week. XP

Three Question's

1. When battling, if I use the same attack over and over the damage will decrease?
-example- attacking a wall and the life goes down to half, but i attack again it stay near the 30-40 hp when it was suppose to finish it

2. Burn decrease 1 stage for physical? and what about S.attack?

3. ability Intimidate lower the attack stage for S.Attack also like physical?

1. No. Damage is randomized from ~ 80-100% through RNG

2. Burn cuts attack in half. Not related to stage increments.

3. No. Only attack.

Nope, the same attack always does roughly the same damage but not exactly the same because there is a part of the damage formula that is random. The only way an attack will do much less is if is an attack like overheat that decreases your sp.attack one stage or if the opponent used a move to increase defense.

2. Burn decrease 1 stage for physical? and what about S.attack?
only physical attack

only physical attack

Question about power Brace / Anklet and PokeRus

I have an electabuzz with a power bracer equipped, and pokeRus. If I battle a snover, which gives 1 attack ev per time i kill it, does that mean i will get 8 attack ev's from the bracer, and 2 ev's from the snover (because 1 ev * 2 because of pokerus)? so much dang math :\

Ok, this week I saw two things happen on my game that I've NEVER seen on pokemon before.

Question 1: I started a game on Diamond, and I currently have an Onix. It got poisoned in a fight, and I had to walk to the pokecenter. I knew it would die, but when it got to one HP, I don't remember what was said, but it shook-off the poison, and survived with one HP! No items were on it either! How can this be explained?

Question #2: I tried to release a Regirock that I migrated from my Emerald game. However, it keeps on saying that it came back to me, and I can't release it! Is this because it likes me too much?

1. In Gen 4 you don't faint from poison outside of battle anymore, only get reduced to 1.

2. It's probably the only poke that knows a certain HM move.

Ok, I'm EV training in Sapphire and really really want to contract PokeRus, thing is, I do not know how it happens on its own.

I had to trade to get it in Pearl and I only got it once on my past Sapphire save by accident. O_o

Can anyone explain the mechanics of PokeRus acquisition in Sapphire as well as any tips and tricks to obtain it?

Many thanks in advance. :)

I'm pretty sure that normally you get it from battling a wild pokemon that has it and that the chance of a wild pokemon has pokerus is more or less the same as finding a shiny pokemon, except that you can't tell from looking at it that the pokemon has pokerus.
Anyway the first time you get pokerus the nurse at the pokemon center tells you that your pokemon have the virus and that it helps them grow better or something like that (same speech since GSC).
I remember getting pokerus like that in Pokemon Gold, never happened to me in Emerald yet and I traded to get it in Diamond.

I also heard that when battling an infected pokemon, only moves that cause physical contact will allow the virus to pass over to me?

I've been using a team of Linoones who spam headbutt, strength, and cut until all of their PP depletes and check in at a pokemon center.

Best part is all the shitload of pickups I get. I'm on 30+ Rare Candies now. :O

Take 8 EVs from attack and leave the rest the same. Can't take from Speed because I think it is made so it will hit a magical number after one dragon dance.

Edit: I assume you have perfect speed, defense and special defense, otherwise you are screwed.

The IVs are 29/31/31/x/31/31 ^^
So with 220 EVs (212 from the analysis, plus the 8 from attack you suggested) would mean max lefties?

How do I breed a Slowking with Nasty Plot and Slack Off? Can I raise a Slowpoke to level 39, have it learn Slack Off, then trade it with a King's Rock for a Slowking that will learn Nasty Plot on evolution? Or do I have to breed two Slowpokes that both know it?

Okay, I keep hearing about these magic numbers for max lefties healing. My question is why are these so important? Since lefties heal 6.25%, what is the advantage of stopping at a certain figure, if you would be healed more if your health was higher?

Like that. Or if you hold off the evolution, you can get the Heart Scale guy to handle the Nasty Plot learning. Your other guess works too.

If you stop at the highest magic number, you'll maximize recovery and those remaining EV's can be put elsewhere. For you second question even with higher HP you recover the same amount of HP unless you hit another magic number.

Redterror I personally like using Wailord lol, it learns a few different types of moves, and can fair well :]
