As an update on my availability posted. I will be free completely from the 3rd of Feb. Which should be the start of week 5. I will have building and limited playing availability up to then, being completely unavailable week 4.

However, the effort I put in is directly proportional to the comraderie I feel to my team. And that range is epitomised by the scale of LPL just gone at the low end to LCPL where I went so well it made DPP not look like a coinflip tier.

You should draft me. Here's why:
  • I've made Circuit playoffs for the year and am brimming with self-belief that I can win it all. I'm not too shabby at old generations either, having made it to Classic play-ins. During LCPL, I learnt Vullaby SS LC within two hours and put in a competitive performance against a good player. While I have been in a little bit of a funk recently, nothing lasts forever, and I was able to put in a solid performance in Last Chance to secure my position in Circuit. On my day, I can beat anybody, and I've had a lot of those days this year.
  • I am a woman of many talents. I agreed to drawing the Diglett Digs a logo while about seven mixed drinks in. I can give you an ironclad guarantee that it will be complete before the draft. It might suck. It might not. I might produce a piece worthy of the Frida Kahlo gallery. Either way, I will finish it.
  • I'm an excellent chat presence. My high ranking on the most recent Nineage Viability Rankings shows that I've integrated well into the Little Cup community over the last couple of years, and I recently had a message pinned in #the_pool. The Hoosiers are frauds.
  • My timezone is a double-edged sword. Living in Australia and having a full-time job means that I'm usually only able to scout or give any input during my evenings, by which point the many Americans on my team have frequently either said what I was going to say or already run a scout spanning the last decade. However, I offer unusual availability windows that can be very helpful if last-minute substitutions are required. I am also very effective at getting activity wins due to people sometimes having to set alarms to remember to wake up to play against me and potentially sleeping through them. Why wouldn't you want an Australian on your team?
- the rora
i can't believe this worked, you were the most expensive player in the whole draft

As we won't be getting official PRs, decided to make my own rankings of DPP starters.

I am still fairly recent in the LC community so apologies in advance if I miss out on someone's past achievements or overlook the importance of an established player that has just not been playing in recent years.

1. Fresno Fennekins - Nails

I am personally not too familiar with Nails' DPP, but I cannot ignore his particularly high winrate over multiple tournaments. He is the 2nd DPP to be snaked during draft after tazz, but I believe tazz's early pick also valued his knowledge across many other LC gens - whereas Nails was likely snaked solely for the extremely strong DPP slot he will provide.

2. brat-summer deerling - tazz

Another DPP starter I am not too familiar with due to my recency, although I've got to be around in talks with him. Could be swapped with Nails for 1st - Nails played more recently and that is why I put him above but that's a rather poor reason. Ultimately I just expect both players to do really well this LCBC.

3. Tinkatwinks - HSOWA

I did not expect to have HSOWA third before actually writing this down and I think it shows how top-heavy this DPP pool is. He is certainly the player I am the most scared of in builder - I think this kind of backfired in the latest LCPL but HSOWA can make his creative builds work better than almost anyone. Looking forward to your games the most in the pool btw!!

4. Diglett Digs - trace

trace is a good player all around that is familiar with LC as a whole. I am not particularly aware of his dpp experience but I can trust him to pilot well if he loads good teams - which should be the case with Hacker support!

5. Smoliv Garden - reggg

Similarly, reggg is a good player across multiple gens that you would just expect to do well in most pools. However unlike trace, I don't think Smoliv's DPP support is that important and that was essentially the dealbreaker between reggg and trace for 4th place. I like the team he has been loading in LPL though, and he is certainly self-sufficient.

6. Sugma Slugmas - Brammi

My biggest concern with Brammi is on team choices. I don't think he pilots his teams wrong but I tend to dislike what he brings - DPP is particularly hard when you load poor match-ups, and Brammi's tendency on unusual sets and/or pokemons might end up being problematic if properly prepped for. I will be happy to be proven wrong if that leads to metagame development.

7. Munchlax n' Chill - Zcarlett

Zcarlett appears to me as the least experienced DPP player in pool, despite not starting from zero. She has a few players with a little DPP experience to prep with, like iss, jhm5, rineko or Lialiabeast; yet most of these players wouldn't have ranked much higher than her here because this pool is actually pretty solid. Zcarlett herself has shown interest in the tier in many occasions in the past, discusses it on the Discord and can build her own viable teams - she certainly can grab herself a few nice wins.

I don't usually write Powers Rankings but I have some time and I thought it would be nice to have one for DLC players!

1. Fresno Fennekins - Voltix & Frixel

I like the teams Voltix has been using in his games and his play has excelled. Voltix is in his prime as he just won his first Dou Tour (Last Chance) and finished with an 8-1 record and won MVP for LPL 13. Frixel is his support and is great player to practice test games with. Frixel doesn't teambuild but that shouldn't be a concern because Voltix already has the part covered. I'm looking forward to seeing another splendid performance because a win against him will feel that much better.

2. brat-summer deerling - Actuarily & hys

Actuarily is really good at Pokemon. He is currently ranked #1 in the dlc circuit standings and won the winter seasonal earlier this year and also got first place in the money tour I hosted. Everyone knows the results Actuarily produces but they don't talk about how well he's setting everything up while playing. I have a lot of reasons to thank Act because he challenges me unlike anyone else. It's like both motivation and I guess demoralization, its better to have that than to have nothing.

3. Munchlax n' Chill - Gasaiyunosan, Pigwarrior, Cepha

This core is phenomenal. Each one of them has a unique teambuilding style and getting ideas from each other will no doubt evolve the metagame. They're all amazing players so the team will not have to worry when deciding who to slot in for the week. I think they have an advantage because they have the luxury of rotating their players depending on who they play for the week. I say this because I've never beaten Gasai and will not be looking forward to playing her. All three will finish with a winning record.

4. Pichu Parade - John1240 & nephtyrix

Both solid players and both already qualified for Invitationals. John doesnt get enough credit for how consistent he is in every tour he signs up for and eventually I think he'll become the best in this tier. I haven't seen neph play since winter seasonal but they finished 3rd and I'm sure he'll shake off the rust from playing in majors and practicing with john.

5. Sugma Slugmas - Akaru Kokuyo

Akaru is one the best doubles players of all time and has won an Invatitional for dlc in the past and its criminal to rank them at 5th but I only put them here because the players above Akaru are active in the format and they're also performing well. Akaru could easily finish with the best record but I have to give credit to all the other players that have been playing so far.

6. Smoliv Garden - Eragon & xqiht

I haven't seen Eragon play DLC but I said that every time he would play a new tier in doubles and he always finished at least top 4 in the pool of players so I wouldn't be surprised if he has a positive record in this tour. I'm intrigued in how he approaches the team builder. Eragon is known for bringing middle stage evolution mons with eviolite in Dou tours but this format only has first stage mons. This will give him an opportunity to look at every mon available and its going to be exciting to see what teams he brings. Xqiht is another good player and got second in the money tour I hosted recently so slotting in xq for a couple of weeks is a win win as well.

7. Diglett Digs - Charmdi & Logice

This ranking doesnt feel right but they're the only players I haven't seen play much dlc. I wouldn't be surprised if they did well though. Charmdi won a VGC Regional this year and Logice teamed with Actuarily in the most recent LPL so he had a good amount of time to get familiar with the format and play with one of the best. Both of these players are draft mains and have been participating in Dou tours throughout the year and are doing well. This will be another format where we'll get to see interesting techs arise from these draft mains.

I'm bored tonight and I don't have anything else that I'd prefer doing so.. SS pool rankings

1. Kingler
It is pretty hard to not call the guy who went undefeated in the tier (losses to goat kythr don't count) last tour not number one. Another elite performance from him should be expected.

2. Ninjadog
Ninjadog plays pretty consistent in his games I feel and has a pretty good sense of good teams from bad teams. He was doing pretty well in SWSH in LCPL until he got thrown into BW to cover for his teams slot there being bad. I have no real complaints about either his team selection process or his play, so its a pretty easy rank two for him to me.

3. LilyAC
This is a pretty low ranking for Lily with her being a pretty obvious amazing player, however I think its moreso due to how talented the top of the pool is. The reason I put her below Ninjadog is that she is sometimes a victim of self sabotage in her builds or not making sure their quality is great. In LPL she didn't use a lot of the broken mons like the Psychics and had a few weird brings like Scarf Pawniard. Despite that she still had a good record in the tour and expecting anything less than a sturdy positive record would be troll.

4. Acehunter1
Ace isn't really super experienced in terms of playing this SWSH meta as he has slotted SM or SV in every tour hes participated in since the last SWSH meta. However, I know hes been pretty active in this tier especially being a huge part of Kingler's undefeated run. He has pretty unorthodox builds that I find kinda fun a good amount of the time. He usually has pretty good records with them too. While Ace is not nearly as scary as the three people ranked above him, I think he is someone that people should fear when they see him as his opponent. Just don't lose to timer.

5. CMDoge
Particularly known for being a creative and good builder in the old SWSH meta, Doge still finds himself ranked in the middle of the current player pool for the tier as it is right now. I think hes a very alright player that doesn't really have high high's but doesn't really find himself having low low's either. I think he trolls with his builds in the tier right now a good amount. Its the most notable when you watch some of his replays and you will see him loading pre vullaby meta teams to the vullaby meta. Despite that he usually still does decent though, and I think this placement properly reflects that.

6. Stecolomaxx
I find Stecolomaxx, like CMDoge to be a very decent player. The main difference between the two for me is that I find Doge's play to be noticably better. Steco doesn't really like play bad on a regular basis, but he doesn't really have crazy plays where I think "damn that was a good play" either. I think he is in for a rough time especially with this pool, but he does have the potential to grab a few wins as a cheap player

7. Gtcha
This is an incredibly low ranking for Gtcha, seeing as hes an incredibly strong overall tournament player. This ranking is very much so undervaluing him with the record that he could potentially end up with. However, he is primarily ranked this low for me because of the infamiliarity with the tier which very obviously showed in his game against me. I think that he will improve steadily as the tour progresses and has the potential to have one of the best records in the tour as he gets a better sense of how the tier plays. For now though, I think this ranking is justified and even despite me ranking him last I think he will end the tournament with a good number of wins.

The SS pool this tour is really strong and I am looking forward to being able to play everyone in it ! good luck to all

Smoliv Accuracy Check (2nd edition)

Welcome to the return of the Smoliv Accuracy Check! Here, we look at all the non 100% accurate moves used in the games of the Smoliv Garden team, and see whether the Smolivs or their opponents were more lucky with landing their moves!

Note : This accuracy check is fully objective as it bases itself from the assumption that landing moves and getting critical hits are usually desirable. Therefore, while it can be used as an indicator of luck, it does not consider subjective factors, such as the game state or the pertinence of individual moves vs others. I am doing this only for entertainment purposes.

Greedy's SV Power Rankings (for Players) AND Egoing List

Note: Only players who played SV in Weeks 1 & 2, and players currently slotted for Week 3 are getting ranked. I will not be including any Fresno Fennekins since us dominating the Top 5 on my list would be lame.

image.png

10. LeJames Chonk
Cooper in my eyes is the gatekeeper of the Top 10, since everyone below him I think I’m favored to beat in SV, and everyone above him (including him) will be a game. He’s always been a competitive player of SV, and I’m excited to see him hopefully stay in the tier.

9. Aurora
2024 was a great year for her, and she’s fully left the mascot pick tier after qualifying for LC Circuit playoffs. Great to see you having success, hope it continues.

8. daunt vs
In my opinion, DVS hasn’t had the strongest SV career so I can see others placing him lower. However, I’ve heard enough good things about his past accomplishments that with more SV experience I believe he could reach higher peaks, so it sucks that he’s now in SwSh.

7. Fille
SCL tournament winner, but had a disappointing tournament. He is a great leader, but I am not as confident in his SV. However, it's hard to put him lower when he's won two LCPLs and SCL in just two years.

6. Corckscrew
The biggest wildcard of my Top 10. I placed him above Fille because they played Week 1 and he won. Similar story to Fille where I'm not as confident in their SV, but he'll always bring a fun game to watch.

5. Larry
Beats Lokifan and tazz in SCL playoffs to win the tournament. Has clearly shown that they have the piloting skills to beat anyone, and I'm excited to see more.

4. JuanSG
Juan, you lost a coinflip and didn't make Top 3. Consistently underrated, consistently putting up results, and isn't afraid to bring unorthodox teams.

3. Acehunter1
Who Juan lost a coinflip to. He's shown clear improvements to his SV capabilities in 2024 and has been a top player in multiple generations of Little Cup. Can't wait for 2 LC RU mons to show up on his team and for him to win.

2. Ghost
If you were to ask me if I believe with my chest that Ghost was the second-best player in SV to not include the Fennekins, I couldn't. However, having him lower than literally everyone else doesn't look right. Better not lose to Juan this week though, I'm super willing to throw you off the podium.

1. Lokifan
It's hard to be a Lokifan denier when they just keep winning all their games. Back-to-back LCPLs wins and a 8-2 record in SCL. They should be everyone's #1 slot.
1: The masses don't think I'd win, I don't think I'd win.
2-4: The masses don't think I'd win, I think it's even.
5-8: The masses don't think I'd win, I think I'd win.
9: The masses think it's even, I think I'd win.
10: I hate playing against Cooper in tours, he's one of my 4 Horsemen of Losing, but he's better than everyone below him.
11-14: I'm favored, it should be competitive.
15-22: Tours players and good LC mains, I'm favored.
23-36: I would be disappointed with myself if I lost.
37-42: Not enough information, would still be annoyed at myself if I lost though.

AP Poll.jpg

Welcome to the first (and probably last) edition of DC's LCBC AP Poll. This is not a real Power Rankings for disclaimer purposes and should only be taken for a for-fun basis. If you are offended, feel free to DM me! Without further ado, let us look at some tiers that the committee (me) have decided to create.

To the many people reading this that are not sports fans, the AP Poll is basically a ranking of the top teams in a particular sports; in this instance, I will be referencing American Football (both NFL and CFB) when I am designating certain players in tiers and fun comparisons. I didn't want to make this post early but I feel so frustrated about this matter that I rather share it here so that hopefully things change for the following weeks. To put it simple I can't work at all with my team to the point that it bothers me a lot. The biggest issue is that I can't work with LeJames Chonk, Cooper was my manager before in LPL where things went fine It was mostly because he quit week 3 or so and I don't care to much about lpl but I don't like when managers leave mid season. Before the draft he dmed me that he was interested in buying me and I said I don't mind which tbf was a lie from me but I don't think it's allowed to say I don't want to play for team X + I always should give someone a second chance. So naturally i wasn't super happy when I got drafted by them with obviously having the worst roster. But overall I stayed positive knowing last season I thought fille team wasn't the strongest on paper too but still won the tournament. When week 1 started I quickly realised this was not going to work when the team quickly was divided by monkeys and not monkeys which was something I really don't like I didn't talk with wrath Dutch either cuz i believe teamwork is important especially in a team with a lot of players but instead i guess i can mute some channels! Wich result in seeing a growth foongus debut. Ofcourse my game this week was bad and was 100% on me although our sv chat was pretty much dead and i do believe that we loaded 2 bad teams that could have been avoided if we work more together. Overal i didn't like week 1 to much but that's how sometimes tournaments goes. Week 3 start and I was slotted in oras and cooper told laro to not speak English in the channel while I was sharing some ideas in the chat wich probably was the last thing needed to make me frustrated. I was super excited for lcbc and played no oldgen pl to get no experience in them so i can be presence in helping all slots but instead my manager just want him to use his own teams. Then today there was again some dumb argument with him that was about something stupid and it ended up with like They wouldn't do that cuz they lose their X check then when we didn't even use the X check to begin with. It feels like I am just wasting my time and only get angry watching teamchat being some Monkey PL v2 that I am pretty much done with that. You can keep me in I do not care I won't cancer but I hope it's possible to get traded to other team if it's possible.
