Hello everyone! We are pleased to announce that manager signups for 35PL I are now open. If you would like to manage, please read the following details before signing up.
  • There will be 4-6 teams and each team will have two managers.
  • Managers are required to participate in the auction to draft their players.
  • Managers will have a budget of 150k. If one manager wants to purchase themself for their team, they can do so for 13.5k. If the second manager also wants to purchase themself, they'll have to pay 15k (Overall 28.5k).
    • All manager purchases must be sent to the hosts, zastra and Ember Celica, before the draft, and all of them will be announced in the administrative thread.
  • Each team must draft a minimum of 15 players (10 players + 5 subs) and a maximum of 18 players using 150k credits.
  • Managers must select their lineup for the week and send it to the hosts before the week starts in Smogon DMs to both hosts, zastra and Ember Celica. If you don't think you can do this for the duration of 35PL I (it's honestly not that complicated), do not sign up.
    • Managers must send their lineup in the format mentioned at the end of this post.
  • Managers are responsible for their team's behavior. Make sure members of your team are abiding by the rules and remain active.
  • Managers are expected to facilitate substitutions when necessary.
If you can commit for the next two months or so, go ahead and sign up with your prospective team name. Managers will likely be decided within one week.

Why should you be picked? Thunder won the August 24 tour and I came second in the December 23 retro tour and consistently get high in any 35 tour I'm bothered to sign up for. We've both been involved in the community for quite a long time; I am currently on the 35 Council and Thunder was also a previous council member. Our understandings of the 35 metagames will prove beneficial for making the tour as competitive as possible.

Why should you be picked? Turtle12 won September 2024 tour and Zetious has consistently made deep tournament runs. Both are current council members and made top 4 in the recent trios tournament despite none of the players having experience in the trio tour metas. This exemplifies our ability to perform mock battles and train to create a competitive team, even in unfamiliar environments.

Why should you be picked? Retro and I have extensive experience in management, particularly from our roles as draft league moderators. We are both well regarded within the community and have built good reputations. Retro currently leads the 35 VGC Format, while I am organizing the February 25 monthly tournament. I am also running my own PL-type tournament in a server I moderate in.

Co-Manager: Enhydra
Team Mascot: Reuniclus
Why should we be picked?: Well for one we have a logo and that's goated, Enhydra is a very creative lad (he made the logo), and I have done pretty decently in 35 and have reached fairly high on the ladder and have won a room tour. Also both myself and Enhydra also have player management skills as we moderate for some Draft Leagues.

Why should you be picked? Concluded managing my first team tour, UUBPL, with Finchely where we took our team to finals. I have been involved with 35 Pokes events in the past, including getting to finals for one of the recent trios tours.

SpaceSneakers has an absolutely stacked record for PL management (AAAPL I & II, OMFL V, NFEPL VII, NDOTSL II, OMWC VII, ISTT II, AGWL II, and Euphonos Legacy League I, to name a few) and thus is well-versed with how to manage competently in any team tour he signs up in.

After thorough discussion, the 35 Pokes admin team and tour hosts have finally decided the 6 pairs of managers who will manage the first [forum-based] edition of 35PL!
