Resource Battle Stadium Singles Regulation I Dex Updates And Suggestions

I feel spikes ting lu is taking off a bit, it can be an option on the first set. Not as common as AV, but more than payback. Also it's just terrifying with the bull and whirlwind.

Edit: Flutter is worder funny.
"Focus Sash: Focus Sash patches up Flutter Mane's poor physical bulk, giving it new revenge kill chances." uh fwiw.I'd talk about normal somewhere for tera, is common enough.

These are valid observations that have been around and just haven't gotten added yet. Hard to say when it'll happen considering Dex updates are slow in coming right now.

That being said, making note here that Reg G updates for Urshifu-R :urshifu: and Clodsire :clodsire: have been submitted to the Dex. Clodsire in particular I added some strategy comments for pertaining to Special Defense; it normally runs max/max for special bulk but I've seen several sets that run some Defense. It was kind of all over the place though, so I figured the better option was to just give the Special Defense benchmarks that were important and let builders decide from there.

Just pushed an update for Miraidon :miraidon: that... honestly took a bit more effort than I was expecting. EV spreads are all over the place for this thing, unsurpisingly.

Most notable changes:
  • Since "offensive" sets are very frequently running bulk now, it didn't make sense to name the Assault Vest set "Tank," so I changed it to just "Assault Vest."
  • Tried to piece together stuff from EV spreads we already had and combine them with more recent data.
  • Changed the strategy comment bullet on Iron Bundle to be about Iron Treads, since Bundle is definitely not the go to partner for Miraidon anymore.

Targeting Flutter again, the #1 use mon is probably the most helpful to pick at. For one, I don't really like Power Gem being a 1st slash in on the 4th move on the 1st set. It's pretty niche, really. Not bad use given the frequency of this being used itself, but not 1st slash on a 1st set material imo. Hex is going down in use, but w/ ghold also going down, I'd say t wave Flutter should run hex,not Shadow Ball, maybe an oo menion for Shadow there, or idk. Ground tera, these days, is about as big as fire and water put together(just slightly less,) so I'd say a mention for it all over is warranted, probably fits most sets cause mir.

Uh LO Chi-Yu is a miniscule .6%, under even the random .8% lum(and no, idk at all.) I'd fully remove the mention for it in the 2nd set, at this time. Maybe the 3rd too, idk.

EDIT: hopefully that helps. I wanted to try to help, but anyone can scroll through the data LOL. The mons I use aren't always even ranked, much less w/ finished analyses, so it can be hard to give ideas based off experience. Um, gonna repeat that Scorching Sands Terapagos is great, probably better than Earth Power. I like Earth Power, but 30% burns>10% SpD drop easy. The 20 BP difference can be minor if you're gonna use the sig move most of the time..,but there is no data showing for Sands, so idk. Just thought I'd share an idea about something I use, rather than going off the data alone. Hopefully it becomes a thing, but if not oh well.

A Regulation G Update has been pushed for the big fella Dragonite! :dragonite:

The sets I ultimately kept based on usage data were Choice Band, Scale Shot, and Extreme Killernite. All others were grouped under the outdated tab.

One anomaly I did notice is that Dragon Tail is getting usage at a high level, but it doesn't really align with the Phazer set that we currently have on Dex. Its actually being used on Extreme Killernite style sets in place of something like Encore. So instead of try to tweak the Phazer set, I decided the best option was to add it as an "Other Option" on Extreme Killernite.

Fellow QC'ers, please let me know if I missed anything major. This is the jack-of-all-trades Dragonite we're talking about, after all.

Edit: Looks like the Dragon Tail bullet might not have posted properly? If so, I'll have to go back and add it again.

Imo poltergeist belongs somewhere on ceruledge's entry. It is 30%, above plenty of things. Beyond that, is strong despite the acc, at whopping 110 bp. Shadow claw is only better with knock off support, generally I'd think.

I've seen this a few times but for Ting-Lu (and I guess Hippowdon) being set to underspeed Alomomola could be given as an option so it can't come in and Flip Turn for free (which it is going to do). The downside in the case of Ting-Lu is that it could lose the mirror match up (and get whirlwinded or attacked first) but Alomomola is very common and messing up its pivoting could be useful.

As regards Ting-Lu to accomplish this a 25 IV in speed yields the maximum speed that is slower than Alomomola.

On cart a negative speed nature and 31 speed IV could be used while still outspeeding Dondozo and Garganacl by a few points.

A bulky EV spread for Chien-pao has really popped off. It entails forgoing speed and pumping a lot of investment in defense, generally with Tera fire and some sort of damage-boosting item. I gather this is to take advantage of ho-oh's ubiquity.
