never played yugioh but it's utterly hilarious to me how the game pulls archetypes from card names as well as standard card parts like type or whatnot. like imagine if the ptcg had a card that called "pi" specifically for pichu and pikachu and then like 15 other cards can be called like that. would be fun. but alas the closest we're ever getting to ptcg understanding competent players generally have names and evo lines memorized is the rare candy

See, I was going to be supportive here, trying to yes, and the bit without necessarily having knowledge of every yugioh card and all that, but I straight-up can't stand bloomburrow's blatant vertebrate bias. This deserves to be eaten by a coconut crab.
iirc it was popular on evo decks like greninja-break since those decks needed to draw RC, energies, and the contingent pokemon for the strategy so if you led off with it it would be a nice boost to draw power, but most other decks at the time would have an easier time just setting up their basic EX's turn 1-3 and had basically zero use on those decks.
