1741213336904.png

Huge shoutout to kolohe for the logo!
  • There will be 8 teams and the tournament will have about 2 weeks of manager signups, 1 month of qualifying, 7 weeks of round robin and 2 weeks of playoffs (not counting any potential tiebreakers). That places the end of the tournament sometime in July; managers are expected to be active throughout the tournament until that point.
  • Playing Managers: One manager can also be a player in the tournament. Manager pricing 20k per manager.
  • The tournament format is as follows:
Code:
SV Ubers
SV OU
SV OU
SV UU
SV RU
SV NU
SV PU
SV LC
SV Doubles OU
SV Monotype
SV Random Battle (Best of 3)
National Dex

The Minimum number of players per team is 15 (12 starters plus 3 subs)

If you want to manage a team in BLT XII, make a post using the below format. These are open signups, meaning any pair of users, regardless of auth status, is eligible to sign up. These pairs will be vetted and chosen by the hosts (AtlasNeo and myself) with the help of Tournaments room staff.

Xiri and I have the most experience alongside trace when it comes to BLT. We've been on the same team since BLT V, and have managed together since BLT VI (except for BLT X). We have always created a good team environment where we help everyone to improve and only gotten great feedback from our former players so far.

And now that Laxes finally retired, its Lapras‘ time.

List of Accomplishments:

Starting off with myself , i have managed a wide handful of tours including retrowcop (main stage ), Zupl, SMPL, ADVpl x2 ( finals ) and many more and played in many like UUWC, ORASPL, LCBC, PUBD, NUWC, MWCOP, WCOR ( po ) , UWC ( top 8 ) , DWCOP x2 ( finals and PO ) and a few others less importan unofficial tours while Feen has managed RUPL 3 times securing finals and playoffs , LTPL which he won , snake 2 and OUFL/RUGL/ORASPL to PO this year. He also played in SCL 3 with shoguns and captains World Cup with Bangladesh. As far as tournaments he has played in UUPL , RUPL , NUCL, NUPL , PUPL, PUBD , ZU olympiad , monoPL , monoWPL and OMPL . He has also made circuit PO for all of UU/NU/RU/PU circuits meaning he is no stranger to the lower tier community and has an incredibly wide knowledge

Why would you make a good manager?:

While I have great knowledge of DOU/ND/UBERS/RANDS from managing experience and feen has the lower tier knowledge we think we can most certainly make a good and competitive environment fitting of a winning team due to not only our wide tier knowledge across both of us but our knowledge of the community and how a team should be managed

Team Name: Flameslinger Skeledirges

List of Accomplishments: I won BLT as manager last year and as player in 2022, and made playoffs as manager in 2023. Also managed NUPL twice, making playoffs both times; and played team tours of every lower tier, including SCL.
As for Howkings, he managed pretty much every tour on the site, including SCL, WCOP, NPA, SMPL, Teamballo, OUPL, LCPL, RBYPL, ORASPL, SSPL, PSPL, UPL, ROAPL, ADVPL, DPPPL, ADPL and many more that I can't think of right now, having managed in most of those multiple times and having won a lot of them.

Why would you make a good manager?: We both have a lot of experience managing and playing, with some decent amount of success in the past. I also have solid experience of most lower tiers, especially NU, from having played multiple team tours, and both of us have good knowledge of all player pools. Lastly, Skeledirges had a very good team environment last year, with a good amount of newer/lesser known players being given a chance in the team.

List of Accomplishments: Managed ZUWC win, RUWC win, and NUPLX win. Have managed and played in MANY other team tournaments including managing iterations of NUPL and ZUPL, and winning LCPL, OMPL, and CAPPL. Wesley has his own accolades as well.
Why would you make a good manager?: Besides the experience managing and playing as mentioned above, I'm highly invested in lower tiers as a whole and have dipped into the communities of many tiers featured in this tournament. Wesley and I have the knowledge and experience to draft a killer team while also giving opportunities to some dark horses and lesser-known players within the community. I'd also like redemption for getting all the way to finals last year while going 8-2 including tiebreak.

Sidenote edit but Fragments was a wonderful manager last year and I would love to see them get another shot as well

Assistant Manager: Danny
Team Name: Pillsbury Fidough Boys

List of Accomplishments: I've managed 30+ tours on this site and made playoffs in >80% of them, including making semis of BLT 2 years ago and finals last year. I've also played in and won numerous tours including BLT, RBTT, LCPL, OMPL, and WCOR. Danny has managed multiple tours as well including NUPL, NUCL, NUWC, PUWC, ZUPL, and ZUWC. He has played in almost every subforum tour, has played in all 3 official team tours, qualified for grand slam 2 years in a row, and made playoffs for every single lower tier circuit bar UU.

Why would you make a good manager?: Not only have I demonstrated strong results in virtually everything I've managed, but I have been able to create fun, energetic team environments for my players that has resulted in a regular crowd of people wanting me to draft them again. For his part, Danny has proven to be one of the premier lower tier players on the site and has exemplified great qualities as a manager in his own right. We can guarantee a team that is both a playoff contender and a positive experience for our players.

List of Accomplishments: PDT and I have managed and participated in every low tier's tournaments at some point. I've managed UUBD, RUGL, managed PUPL to finals, and am currently managing an undefeated PUBD team and have participated in every low tier PL at some point and some WCs here and there. I've also had a pretty good track record as a Monotype manager, missing playoffs as a manager just once out of 4 tours, and my last Monotype team I managed had an undefeated regular season. pdt has played in pretty much every low tier and has managed UUPL to a finals, has managed SCL, and has managed PUPL to a win. We also both keep up with OU, as pdt is currently playing in SPL and I do my own up-keep but thats not an accomplishment (lol). I've also participated in BLTs before, as well as shadow managing whatever team Vaboh and Stareal (gary come home....) managed a few years ago to a semifinals. I have a rougly 70% playoff rate in tours I manage as well.
Why would you make a good manager?: I prioritize making sure my teammates are feeling good about the team vibes in general and making sure they all feel good about their games before playing. pdt and I have been involved in low tiers enough to know pretty much all of the player bases. pdt and I get along well and he shares the same philosophy as I do so we'll have a good and competitive vibe!

List of Accomplishments | Why would you make a good manager?:
=============================================

roxie:
Hello! I have an aspiration for managing team tournaments overall and towards the end of last year I've had a lot of personal success like winning my first ORASPL I managed. Although prominently being NU & Monotype, I've managed to squeeze my way in most tiers on the site with having success in a lot of the featured tiers in BLT (and managed before) by being involved with UUFPL (Made Finals + supported SV), RUWC (Won + supported SV), NUCL I (Made Playoffs alongside Kiyo + supported and played SV), Monotype Cup I Playoffs, and plenty more (RUGL/PUWC/MPL/NUPL/CAPCL/CAPPL) from my time on the site.

With everything I do, I have a passion to be a difference maker with an overall drive to contribute to the site. My teammates are future champions and it's my job to make sure competitively I test all tiers while also making sure culture and operations are right in my team cord. This is moreso creating personalized experiences from a manager perspective to best support your team. I'm pretty confident I would make a great manager because of my involvement with every tier featured, forcing me to team & and face high skill players in nearly every tier, rewarding me the knowledge of my future players in each community. I know what it takes to win a Pokemon game and I know what it takes to win, support, and manage a team team tournament. - roxieYT

a fairy:
I've managed a bunch of team tours, including UMPL, UbersUUPL, and ROAPL(shadow manage) to victories, plus plenty other tours like ndpl mwp dpppl omfl aaapl and probably more im forgetting. idk how i make a good manager honestly but i know the top end talent environment for most tiers (basically every tier in blt except like, maybe doubles and pu) and spend a lot of time in auction prep to the point where i dont think ive ever had a Bad auction, just ones that didnt pan out (big names who have bad tours). plus im terminally online for chatter/activity problems. - thebrooky12

Why would you make a good manager?: I've had a fair bit of managerial experience starting with the 2019 BLT playoffs and winning the next one then once again winning the 2023 edition . I've also managed a bunch of Indian community tours like HPL. In addition I've played a variety of tours over the years like Cappl, Capcl, WCOP, LCWL among others because of which i am well of how a team cord should be maintained. Why would you make a Good Manager?: I have only managed one tournament, but it was a great experience and I learned a lot, especially about how I can improve for next time. BLT was my first and is my favorite team tournament, we are familiar with the community and are confident in our ability to not only draft a solid team but make sure that every player is well prepared for their matches and most importantly has a positive tournament experience. Jack is a fantastic teambuilder and has knowledge on many tiers, as he is a very skilled player when it comes to OU and Ubers, and has received tutoring and has experience playing lower tiers. I've been a dedicated Monotype player all generation, and I firmly believe that the time and effort I put in will reflect on other tiers and allow me to be a positive force on the support side. We would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to manage, thank you very much for your consideration.

I have been leading France during the UU and NU World Cup and have managed in multiple tournaments such as PTPL, HPL, CNPL, BSSPL, UUbersPL, UMPL, UUSD, RUPL, and many more.

Since I started managing tournaments on Smogon in 2023, I’ve built a solid and proven track record. I won the UUFPL, reached the finals of the Spanish PL (EPL) in 2023 before claiming the title in 2024, won the NFE PL, and most recently secured victory in the Teamballo (Italian PL).

This time, I’m teaming up with Lolo, someone I’ve shared incredible success with. Together, we reached the finals of the UUFPL and made back-to-back finals in the Spanish PL, winning it once. Individually, Lolo has also proven to be an outstanding manager, leading Latam to the UUWC finals and played in the prestigious RBTT.

As managers, we believe deeply in the potential of every player. We know that motivation, preparation, and mutual support are the true keys to success. We always put our heart into creating the best possible environment for our team, ensuring that every player can perform at their absolute best, and together, we achieve greatness. We are motivate to write another page of our story together, waiting for the opportunity to prove it.

Assistant Manager: Quinn
Team Name: Primal Power Pangoros
List of Accomplishments: The Pangoros dominated BLT X's main season and reached the finals. I was Tours staff for a long time and hosted BLT three years ago. I also won PSPL X as RU & Mono support for Tours room and have played in various team tours such as RUPL, NUSD, and others.

I’m especially happy to see randbats included this year, since I co-(shadow)managed Team Benelux to a runner-up and a championship finish in back-to-back WCORs. I also just finished managing RBTT, where I had an excellent draft—though, unfortunately, some statistically great players had an off-season.

Quinn is a well-known name in the LC scene, has qualled for multiple iterations of BLT, and played in the tour last year. Outside of the Tours room community, he has been in more custom avatar team tours than I can count, including SCL. On top of that, Quinn managed LCBC, PMPL, and recently won OUFL as a manager, so he is no stranger to running teams either.

Why would you make a Good Manager?: Quinn knows tons of players from the tours he’s been in, and I know the drafting process like the back of my hand. We’re both experienced managers and ready to bring home the trophy for the Pangoros. Third time’s the charm!
