CORE LADDERING CHALLENGE – CYCLE 7

TRIBUTE TO OLD GENS

Good morning gamers! New cycle, new formula. No more of me telling you which shitmon you have to use. Instead, you can now build your own team – as long it matches specific conditions, otherwise there's no challenge!

This cycle's theme is old gens, and I drew the "old" line at Gen 6.

Prefix 1vCLC 7ause Gen 1/2 Pokémon only
Notable mons: Donphan, Azumarill, Scizor, Zapdos, Tyranitar, Arcanine, Suicune, P2... Dire, certainly the hardest of this cycle!

Prefix 1vCLC 7b use Gen 3/4 Pokémon only
Notable mons: Registeel, Cresselia, Darkrai, Gliscor, Garchomp, Latios, Magnezone, Metagross, PZ, Heatran... A bit easier already.

Prefix 1vCLC 7c use Gen 5/6 Pokémon only
Notable mons: Hoopa, Haxorus, Sylveon, Whimsicott, Kyurem, Lando, Serperior, Volcanion, Volcarona... Smaller choice but better mons, come on what's your excuse?

You can use the in-game /dt command to double-check a Pokémon's release gen, or for example /ds gen1|gen2, fe, all to list the mons belonging to the specified gens. Alternative forms count as different mons, so you're not allowed to use Alola/Galar/Hisui forms.

The full challenge rules can be found on the first post of the thread, but as a reminder:
  1. Post the replay that shows you reach the ELO cap you're claiming.
  2. You don't need to register in the thread anymore. Just pick a prefix & name and play!
  3. If you are found laddering with incorrect mons for your prefix, forfeit the battle and fix your team, otherwise your results will be ignored.
  4. ELO requirements:
    Code:
    Bronze: 1300
    Silver: 1400
    Gold: 1500
    Platinum: 1600

The cycle ends on Monday 17 March 2025, at 10am GMT.
It's a 1-week cycle, however I reserve the right to extend it to 2 weeks depending on feedback.
GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN!
