Super Smash Brothers Brawl Discussion #3

True I guess, but I haven't done it on brawl yet, which I probably should. How many CDs have you guys missed in a regular brawl? I missed 1 when the CPU knocked me away from it.

My brother just kept jumping away from the stage in 15 minute brawl as pit with his three jumps and awesome up b, he got to the last 3 minutes, not perfect but it could work with a few tries.

Speaking of CD factory...

Is there a way to get music on stages that the music doesn't belong to? Maybe if you unlock all music or something? Or is it just a dream :(

Dunno if this is old or not, but someone realized that All-Star mode is chronological. Kinda a neat discovery.

Wow, that's pretty cool. I don't think I would have noticed that on my own. That explains why Olimar is the final enemy, which I found random.

Wario's first appearance was in Mario Land 2, released in 1992...

I'ma gonna post my mains:

Main Main: Toon Link. He's great, got killing moves and projectiles and everyone knows how well he just racks up damage. He's spamming is only outdone by Pit I think. He's kind of a crap character in lag though. No stupidly long ranged attacks that are ridiculously powerful but suck because of how slow they are but somehow find a way to hit on WiFi. Yes, I'm talking about you Ike.

Secondary Main: Kirby. He's fun and cute. His Down Taunt was nerfed badly. It's just not as cute. But luckily they've buffed his Up Taunt for some sick combos.

Third (?) Main: Not really, but I played Marth until I got Toon Link so I can play him if I have to, but I try to avoid it.

I'm thinking this is first playable game the character was in as Yoshi also had that Yoshi Cookie game for the NES, his first game, but he wasn`t playable. They then group all the other characters from the same series with the character with the first playable appearance.

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! This great maze is just soo damn horrible. How the fuck did you guys get through that mess? What the fuck was the creator of Brawl thinking when they made this mess?

GT every time you touch those save points you auto heal if you rechoose your characters, abuse this to your advantage and you`ll make it.

Furthermore does anyone have the list of each piece of music for each stage I wish to compare music selection and see what I`m missing.

Oh the exit, well hate to tell you this but you must go into every room and defeat each one of those neon shadow characters, do that and I believe the exit will open in between the Marth castle and DS Jungle areas. It`s quite the pain. THe pause screen should show you where each neon shadow clone is.

EDIT: OH and the bosses, you must redefeat them too, but you probably knew that as you start off fighting Petey.

Yoshi's Cookie came out after Mario World. NES games were still being made when Mario World came out, and Yoshi's Cookie was one of them. The puzzle game Yoshi actually came out before Yoshi's Cookie too, but both are pre dated by Mario World.

meta knight has a better time killing things then people give him credit for, typically I can knock someone off at 100%ish and jump down->dair for the kill.

I've been experimenting with sonic a bit too, his bair kills things pretty decently but yeah he's bad =[ I guess they designed it so mario could beat sonic? =x

nice find, although I won't be able to make much use of it without wavebirds... although I guess I can just use two normal controllers and spam A.

Yeah I don't get the whining about Meta's lack of kill moves. Shuttle Loop -> glide A and dsmash are beastly. And that's not even with edgeguarding.

Ok, let me list my mains after having spent some more time with Brawl.

1. Pit - Man O man, do I know how to camp like a wh0re with Pit, which even helps to demoralize any opponents that don't have any projectile defense. The mind games one can play against opponents with projectile defense is even sicker. The best part about his ability to camp is the fact that my Pit is sicker close range, making opponents unsure of how exactly to fight him. Boy do I love to tech chase.

2. Peach - I was surprised to see that my Peach is still sick, but the transition to Brawl really took its toll on her. Her ability to rack up damage is far improved; however, she only has two real kill moves and they can be fairly unreliable. Her Peach bomber is sick though. Her turnip game has been severely weakened in her transition to Brawl, which with all her other nerfs (especially in comparison to other characters), I wonder why they did it.

3. Falco - Ahh good ol' falco. Overall I love his new technique list. His side A even has a small wind pushback ability that makes gibbing him after it especially hard. However, he's extremely slow and his recovery is noticeably weaker. His spike is also a bit less reliable then in Melee.

4.Sonic - Man, sonic is fun, but he's also extremely hard to K.O. with. And of course we get the accidental suicide every now and again. But overall my Sonic is pretty darn good.

5. Zero Suit Samus - Well technically, she could probably be pushed much higher on the list; however, I'm not quite sure how well I would be able to perform with her in a free for all setting. Her kill moves are really few and far between, but she's amazing in my team setting. She performs incredibly on maps like Bridge of Elden where you can walk off the edge.

6. Ike/Toon Link - Not quite sure who should go here. I haven't played with Toon Link too much, but from what I've seen I think I could become good with him. And Ike, what is there to say about him? He rapes, plain and simple.

Ok, so that's actually seven, but what can I say, I like a lot of characters this time around, unlike in melee where I was stuck with Peach and Falco (Fox alternatively).

I made a "CD Factory" with only 2 sections(1 hand each) and ive been doing it the past 30 minutes. I get 3-5 CD's every 3 minutes. It's kind of fun.
