I just had a direct encounter with three of those anti-intelectual tiktok comment section people that bully people for literally anything for the first time and my faith in humanity has been severely damaged

I have some rather controversial Kanye opinions:
- I think around Ye, it became rather clear that he ran outta things to say. He was releasing albums for 17 years at that point without any larger hiatuses. It's why I think Ye and Donda are kinda okay, but are largely not memorable. I don't see a lot of discussion on Ye overall, just Ghost Town, and Donda is largely discussed nowadays because it was his last work before his crashout
- MBDTF is very good, but frankly I disagree with it being his best work. I don't think it's top 3 even tbh
- I don't think he's a good example of a mommy's boy, his relationship with his mother was very close but never seemed unnatural. I do think however that he has a massive issue with needing a woman to hold on. He never appears in public without originally his mother or amber rose, then never appeared without Kim, now never appears without his new wife. He also got immediately into a new relationship after his divorce, broke up after a few weeks and got married again within a few months after his divorce. People who associated with him have also reported that he never went to business meetings without these women and that they was always around in some way. It's now known that he has abusive to his partners and very abusive to Bianca Censori (that thankfully filed for divorce), but that kinda underlines his dependence
And it isn't it kinda odd that he made his ma into his manager? I get that you need someone you trust dearly in this position, and that Donda was an educated woman, but making your mother your manager is kinda bizarre

so here's the deal: any Smogon user worth their salt comes into this website with their own opinions on rap music, but the pipeline of seeing chaos' avatar to listening to Madvillainy to becoming a fan of rap music in general is undefeated
I had this phase as a kid where I got really obsessed with abridged anime series on youtube. I found this ygotas parody of without me from eminem, liked it, looked up the original song and now 90% of what I listen to is hip hop
often see DOOM described as "your favourite rapper's favourite rapper" & every time i think a more accurate descriptor would be "your favourite smogoner's favourite rapper"
to me it feels like rap was made for DOOM. The energy, confidence, intellect and precision he put in every verse he has spit is unmatched. The only person that comes remotely close in my opinion is Andre 3000
I'd say my top 3 favorite rappers are
1) Kendrick Lamar
2) MF DOOM
3) Kanye West (if we can reduce his presence from 2004 to 2016, if not, I'd put Denzel Curry here prob)
local forums are highkey a great way to fund hobbies. found some guy selling a qk80 for 150 and a different guy selling gmk amethyst for 70. keyboards are the biggest waste of money ever but i genuinely want both of these sets. gmk amethyst is hands down my favorite gmk set (used to have one but I sold it while downsizing) and the qk80 is pretty much the exact model I would have gotten if i didn't miss the gb 2 years ago (except the badge but iirc they didn't let you choose which one you get lol)
