[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 7 onwards
**Price Range**: 3-5 points
**Overview**: Indeedee is a niche support piece that supports offensive drafts with Psychic Surge. It also has many useful utility moves including Healing Wish, though others are split between the male and female formes. Indeedee-F can ease setup with dual screens, while Indeedee-M is more offensively threatening and can punish setup attempts with Encore. The stat spread and coverage options for both Indeedee formes prevent them from being consistent offensively, but their ability to prevent priority moves and activate Psychic Seed is incredibly valuable for a number of sweepers.

Common Roles
========
**Terrain Setter**: Indeedee will usually be drafted and added to teams specifically for its Terrain-setting ability. It also uses Healing Wish and Indeedee-F uses dual screens to further support teammates.
**Offensive Utility**: Occasionally, Indeedee-M itself can make use of the Terrain effects thanks to Expanding Force. These sets will usually rely on Choice Specs or Choice Scarf to get around its mediocre stats. Trick can also be used to shut down walls or setup sweepers. Healing Wish is another nice option on these sets to let them provide late-game support.
Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Psychic, Psyshock, Expanding Force (M), Psychic Noise (M), Hyper Voice
**Setup Moves**: Calm Mind
**Utility Moves**: Healing Wish, Trick, Encore (M), Reflect (F), Light Screen (F)
**Coverage**: Dazzling Gleam (M), Alluring Voice (F), Shadow Ball, Energy Ball
Niche Moves
========
**Trick Room**: Trick Room, Psychic Surge, and Healing Wish can help slow wallbreakers like Ursaluna and Iron Hands pick up extra KOs.
**Charm**: Indeedee-F can use Charm to weaken physical attackers that might attempt to set up on it.
**Draining Kiss**: Most Indeedee sets will be better off simply attacking or providing support, but they can sometimes use Calm Mind to attempt a sweep. Draining Kiss has niche use on these sets to take advantage of Dark-types and increase its longevity.
Common Items
========
**Terrain Extender**: Indeedee teams will often need the extra turns of Psychic Terrain to make strategies reliable.
**Choice Scarf**: Choice Scarf has use on both utility and offensive sets, letting Indeedee serve as a revenge killer and making Healing Wish easier to use.
Niche Items
========
**Light Clay**: Indeedee-F can run Light Clay with dual screens if the damage reduction to enable setup is more valuable than Psychic Terrain or Speed.
**Damage-boosting Items**: Indeedee, primarily Indeedee-M, can use items like Choice Specs and Life Orb to wallbreak with powerful Psychic-type attacks despite its lackluster coverage options.
Tera
========
It's very difficult to justify making Indeedee a Tera Captain- — it will often want to use its support tools to enable a team's other Tera Captains. If it has access to Terastallization despite this, offensive sets can use Tera types like Fire and Fighting to hit Steel-types. Defensive Tera types like Fairy and Water can make Calm Mind a more viable option as well.
Draft Strategy
========
Indeedee works best as a late pick that supports an offensive draft. The following roles especially appreciate its presence and make it worth drafting.
**Fast Sweepers**: The primary beneficiary of Psychic Terrain will usually be an offensive Pokemon with great Speed or Speed-boosting options. Deoxys-S is a notable partner for it, being able to outspeed most Pokemon with ease and having devastating STAB moves for the Terrain in Psycho Boost and Expanding Force. Trailblaze Ogerpon formes, Rock Polish Terapagos, Speed Boost Blaziken, and Shell Smash Polteageist are some examples of Speed-boosting sweepers that are protected by Psychic Terrain. Many of the Pokemon listed here also do well with the dual screens and Healing Wish support provided by Indeedee-F.
**Psychic Seed Users**: Psychic Seed enables some powerful strategies, often Unburden on Pokemon like Sneasler and Hawlucha. The Special Defense boost it grants also makes Bulk Up users like Zarude and Ceruledge even harder to take down.
**Entry Hazard Setters**: Stealth Rock and Spikes users such as Deoxys-S, Landorus-T, and the Ogerpon formes are valuable for Indeedee and its teammates, supporting offensive gameplans by making it easier to land crucial KOs.
Checks and Counters
========
**Steel-type Pokemon**: Indeedee's STAB moves are ineffective against most Steel-type Pokemon, and its coverage usually doesn't help. If it's walled, it can allow a foe to use Substitute or boost its stats, making it harder for its teammates to get going.
**Terrain Removal**: Pokemon that can clear Terrain make it harder for Psychic Surge to be used effectively. Rillaboom in particular makes Indeedee-based strategies difficult to execute. It overwrites Terrain while threatening Indeedee and its frail teammates with Grassy Glide and U-turn. Ice Spinner and Defog are also somewhat common moves that can unexpectedly throw a wrench in plans.
**Faster Revenge Killers**: Indeedee's Speed tier and lack of bulk mean opposing wallbreakers and speed control can often threaten it, especially if they can target its pitiful Defense stat or numerous weaknesses.
**Knock Off**: Indeedee loses a lot of value if it loses its Terrain Extender or Choice Scarf, making Knock Off dangerous even from weak Pokemon like Uxie and Comfey. Stronger Knock Off users will also deal massive damage.
