Hello I will sadly be quite busy with college during the time of this tournament, I'd just like to shed some light on some other members of the NU community that definitely deserve a starting position:

Shengineer - most managers probably already already know his name if they've done any research, but Shen is coming off a seasonal win and is one of the best and most active builders in the community, I wouldn't be shocked if he was bought in the first round

Diamonds_realm - I see him rated quite lowly on these tier lists, which of course aren't that serious, but it seems people don't know that Diamonds is an SCL-level player with wins on some of the best. Similarly to Shen, Diamonds is on the forefront of metagame development and would put any team he goes to at an advantage.

Ac1D - he dropped the iconic 13 from his username, but Acid is a dark horse in the community, consistently putting up great results without making too much of a fuss. Overall amazing NU player who definitely deserves a shot.

1 year ago if someone had told me after going undrafted in the first team tour I ever signed up for that 1 year later I'd be getting called SCL-level pre-draft of the exact same tour, I'd have probably said something like "No wa-- wait, who are you and what are you doing in my house"

I'm sorry to have to make this post because I recognize that the hosts are new to hosting and are doing the best they can, and I truly do appreciate all the work you have put in. Like, truly, this isn't just me covering for myself before I'm about to rip into any decisions I, and others, deem to be wrong, but there have been too many absurd decisions for me to ignore any single one of them.

This started when I came into the tours room a couple of times to ask off-handedly when BLT quals would start and nobody, including room staff, seemed to have a solid idea. Then all of a sudden I asked and the answer was tomorrow! Around 6 days into the first cycle I remember people hopping into the room asking when BLT was, and I wasn't around for the 2nd cycle but I imagine that may have been the case then as well.

Moving onto the doc. I know Smogon has recently had issues with updating the doc but even before then the doc just wasn't getting updated. And since I was playing Monotype I didn't want to play my trump cards in weeks 6/7 versus teams that were very likely making playoffs since I assumed my team had already guaranteed playoffs. That may just be a personal issue but in a format that is as counter-team based as Monotype is, why would I want to show my opponents what I'm really thinking about bringing into them? So I lost twice. I may have lost those games anyways and I also did misplay in both of those games but c'mon.

Now, there were some also small decisions here and there I disagreed with but the biggest is all the tomfoolery that went down in Week 7. How come hammy was allowed to FF on a THURSDAY in a team tour with no pushback from tour hosts? How come this sub didn't go through? I don't know the exact timing but maybe it was exactly 16 minutes or whatever you want to claim. How come OUR act claims during weeks 3 and 5 didn't count for differential but both of theirs did for week 7? Those were not deadgames. The only truly logical answer I can come up with is a clear and deliberate decision from hosts to favor Jirachis for whatever reason.

It's a shame to see this because I remember something similar happening last year as well that resulted in the team I was on getting 5th and barely missing playoffs. At least next year won't have to worry about me stealing qualifying points, and gl to the remaining teams. Oh, and anyone who haha reacts this post is officially on my opp list.

That is completely and entirely on you mate. There's no guarantee of playoffs in a 7 week tour until you hit 9 points, you don't even need a fully functioning doc to know that. Multiple players on your team have admitted to getting complacent given your early season success and that came back to haunt you, it woulda been easy to just ask someone what your playoff conditions were instead of just assuming you were safe when you chose to make those choices about team selection.

Somehow this post managed to get even stupider and shows your inexperience in tours. There is absolutely nothing the hosts could have done about the hammy thing. Moons did not have anyone willing to sub in, what exactly do you think hosts could do? This is something that happens in many, many tours on this site. Last year in ADPL the fourth place team qualed after being given act wins as early as Tuesday. In the first World Cup of Randbats, Spain gave up 4 or 5 games when 3 different players refused to play, some of which still had multiple games left, forcing a three-way tiebreak. Is that lame and frustrating when it affects your own team's ability to qualify? Yea ofc, but that's not a host issue since a host can't strap anyone down and force them to play.

Second, if you put as much effort into fact checking yourself as you did into malding, you'd see that sub post you linked was a troll post. Pdt was not a playing manager and was just making a joke there.

And I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about regarding your acts not counting toward differential. They did count. I assume you were looking at the doc which had your score incorrectly labeled at 6-5 instead of 7-5, but that was a technical error that had already been noted. Both of those weeks your score had still been manually recorded as 7-5 and your team ended with the correct differential. This is again something you coulda figured out yourself through basic math if you cared to give the effort, but I guess claiming inexistent bias is easier huh.

I can understand your frustrations, it is an annoying way to be forced to a tiebreak. But tryna act like hosts could have done anything to prevent this is stupid as hell, and as someone who has hosted and heard the "wow you're so biased against my team cause I didn't get the result I wanted!" line, I have to let you know that is one of the most naïve, brainless statements one can possibly ever make. Keep your malding to your teamcord next time or if you have a specific gripe consider dm'ing a host to talk it over maturely, cause this is just embarrassing.
