So at my local game store we decided to hold a pokemon scarlet and violet tournament for the switch drop focusing on only using the pokemon from red and blue after the joyc-on colors but we liked some tips and advise on what we should set as rules , possible banned pokemon and items that would make this as fair as possible for those interested and ideas or suggestions help.

Just letting you know that posting a thread to the Unofficial Metagames (UMs) subforum, as well as most other subforums requires an approval from a moderator. Sorry if the name "Unofficial Metagames" may have confused you, but the moniker does not actually refer to just any random non OU-PU set of metagames. Rather, UMs are a set of specific tiers that act as sort of extensions of the normal tiering system, while not being large enough to be an official tier.

Unfortunately, this means that we won't really be able to help you as this just isn't the right place to make a post like this. Instead, I'd recommend you check out Smogoff where threads are much more conversational, or maybe the Orange Islands which are the home of casual Pokemon discussion. Before posting tho, always make sure to read the rules of a subforum so that you don't make a mistake like this again
