Project NatDex OU Teambuilding Competition v2 - Hiatus

My apologies for the delay although I didn't specify which Friday so I'm in the clear. Team C by Solaros & Lunaris is the winner! Your team will be added to the Hall Of Fame.

Cycle Twelve
:sv/serperior:

A Pokemon who's stock has been rising recently, Serperior's bag of tricks is slowly becoming more valuable as the metagame progresses. It's ability to snowball out of control quickly has been a constant for generations at this point, and even now many teams must react to its presence immediately lest they get bowled over by boosted Leaf Storms. Glare spreading paralysis is also very useful in such an offensive metagame, as is Serperior's great speed tier that lets it outpace fast threats like Ogerpon-W, Garchomp, and Kartana. We've even seen some sets include off the cuff options like Dragon Pulse. What can you do with this regal reptile?

HP ROCK SERP and Iron Moth HO
:roaring moon: :gholdengo: :iron moth: :ting lu: :terapagos-terastal: :serperior:
in-depth description is in the paste description.

TLDR: Start the game with the LU STACK or anti-lead with serperior against diancie and glimmora. Dengo is 250 speed and blocks fog/spin while being the ground immune. Pagos is our removal for serp, moth and moon while shuffling with roar. Serp disincentivizes defog with the threat of an evasion boost and snipes birds, yard and volc with hp rock. Miracle seed invalidates off ghold, spdf pex and off zapdos as switch ins and bulky dengo, dos and bolt die in 2 after rocks/rocks+spike. Moon is a standard bully and Moth with its rainbow of coverage can clean and check the fast fairies.

Serperior Balance :serperior: :samurott-hisui: :dragonite: :heatran: :tapu-koko: :great-tusk:

Simple balance team with Serperior. Hisuian Samurott offers speed control and provides hazards while breaking past Gholdengo and Galarian Slowking. Dragonite helps against Mega Charizard Y and Ogerpon-W while being a secondary wincon alongside Serperior, with them both overwhelming a shared check in Corviknight. Heatran helps us break past Steel- and Grass-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor more consistently; used Roar here to slow down Volcarona more who can become trouble-some against Serperior and choice-locked Hisuian Samurott. Tapu Koko offers as a secondary way of breaking bulky Water-types such as Alomomola, Toxapex, and Slowbro, while forming a pivot core with Hisuian Samurott. Finally, Great Tusk is our mandatory Ground-type, source of hazard removal, and Roaring Moon check with Max HP and Rocky Helmet. It forms a hazard stacking core with Hisuian Samurott with Stealth Rock. Notice how there are two Rocky Helmet users here because I hate Urshifu-R and I have a feeling it hates me too.

Sand Rush Excadrill + Serperior BO
:serperior::Tyranitar-Mega::Excadrill::Melmetal::Toxapex::Zapdos:

Sandcore is never seen in SVND ladder or had any usage in NDWC, but it's not because it's bad — it's because people don't see the vision.
Serperior's role in this team is to spread paralysis on fast threats like M-lati, Waterpon etc and to beat bulky ground types like Ting-lu, great tusk, Lando, and often getting a free setup with substitute on Alomomola. This helps Excadrill in making progress with sd +:steelium-z: which cleans up late game after its counters are chipped. Standard M-ttar build as the SR setter and knocker but with max speed to pursuit trap bulky Dengo's. AV Melmetal is the the glue to the team by checking Lele and M-diance with some wall breaking power to chip Ferrothorn with superpower and ice punch for Gliscor. Normally you would see wogerpon on sand teams but Azuriter recommended Toxapex which is a check to a lot of dangerous threats in the tier; Char-y, Shifu, Zama, Iron val, Volcarona etc. Finally standard Zapdos set as the defensive backbone with defog to remove entry hazards.

And Lastly, Thank you Azuriter in helping me test the team and telling me what changes to make <3

Serperior+Shifu balance
This team balances defensive stability with strategic offense, leaning into status spreading, hazard control, and future sight pressure to open windows for powerful wallbreakers and sweepers. The team features a core of resilient pivots and walls (Moltres, Clefable, Galarian Slowking), a speed control threat (Scarf Urshifu-R), and two fearsome late-game win conditions (Kingambit and Serperior). The well-known Future Sight + Physical Pressure can be seen everywhere in national dex : Galarian Slowking’s Future Sight forces switches or punishes common switch-ins, setting up devastating follow-ups from Urshifu or Kingambit. I decided to use roar instead of U-turn on Moltres because the team already have slowking to pivot around. Moreover, roar is super helpful at stat erasing and getting rock chips. Cleffable is a great mon to wall Roaring Moon and setting up rocks. Decided to use soft boiled instead of wish protect because urshifu. And last but not least, Serperior is a form of status spread and into more offensive teams, can serve as a sweeper late game. hp rock can surprise mons like charizard, volcarona, etc.

Cycle Thirteen
:sv/garganacl:

One of the biggest casualties of the Tera ban, Garganacl almost entirely disappeared for a while as Iron Defense and Curse sets had their poor defensive profile preyed on by the offensive metagame. However, Garganacl has been resurfacing recently as a resilient Stealth Rocker largely on the back of Salt Cure, which is still one of the most broken moves in Pokemon. It's status immunity is also beneficial in a slow-paced, balance heavy metagame, and it can catch some foes off-guard with coverage options like Earthquake or Ice Punch. What can you do with this Salty Sedimentary Status absorber? (Bars)

GARG M-SCIZ BALANCE

Garg as a rocker matches up well vs all the foggers and does fairly well vs the birds, mdia, terapagos and volc. Salt cure is just a ridiculous move, making it extremely annoying for even tusk to get in on it while limiting gliscor, pex, ghold and mola. Speaking of mola, its a real bastard mon but here it gives invaluable healing for zamazenta and tusk while regaining a max health sciz/garg and multiscale. Catch all physical threat which can even take weaker volts or special hits to flip out. Dnite shores up molas vulnerability to ogerpon, yard and other grasses while being a good wincon. 4a tusk hits like a truck and provides spin for garg/sciz and an offensive presence. Msciz is the back bone vs fairies while being good revenge killer, pivot and sweeper. Love this guy. Zamazenta last is rockium because the missing stone edge vs a volc or the birds stinks. Also is a nice emergency answer to sub chomp, pr pon, mdia, volc, almost anything it is faster than pretty much.

:garganacl: :great-tusk: :dragonite: :ogerpon-wellspring: :zapdos: :gholdengo:
Garg functions as a wincon with block and curse that does well vs mdia and kyurem. Also lets it beat stall with relative ease when played correctly. Tusk checks kgb for team and sets rocks and acts as removal. Dnite disrupts ho via dtail and effectively checks yard, volcarona and wellspring while finishing off weakned pokemon via espeed. Zapdos is vital to check tusk as tusk has a fairly good mu vs the team. Scarf gholdengo acts as a lele check as well as mmedi check while acting speed control. It also aids in disrupting setup wincons and ho.

garg checks stuff like diancie, kyurem and volc
gliscor vomits spikes and does gliscor things (bastard), enough speed for modest tran
av lele checks latios, val, even diancie on a pinch
zapdos for kartana, punish uturn (this could be boots pagos tbh)
latios because more people should use him (grow balls and run draco)
adamant sub sd wellspring 6-0s slow teams, punishes alo like nothing else
