I know that Rocket Slime is a legit game, though. I can’t vouch for any un-released prequels though. That said, there is a loooot of unreleased-in-the-west Dragon Quest stuff. It’s massively popular in Japan but not so much in the West. I think the Nintendo DS era is still within the timeframe when things aren’t being localized that often. I mean wasn’t there a whole fan campgain to get a few Wii games like Xenoblade localized from Japan?
So anyway I’m going to say second one in legit, first one is the bit (idk shiet bout basketball)

i dont like texas in general (no hate to the texans, i have my reasons) so the idea of a baseball team from there doing anything successful even if they are actually good pisses me off so the first is a bit.
that and localization BS happens so much especially before like 2010 (e.x. the first official type-moon VN in english was the tsukihime remake which released 20 years after the original and 23 years after the start of kara no kyoukai) that the second is probably legit
