CAP 36 - Part 10 - Name Submissions

Final Submission

Stellaries

From "Stella" (Latin: star), "Constellation" and "Aries" (Latin: sheep/ram; also one of the Zodiac constellations)

Pronounced: Stell-AH-rees
IPA: stɛle͡əɹiːz

Stars are very hot. Sometimes stars contain metal. Also, star powered battering ram sounds conceptually very cool (haha Ice). The name alludes to the spiritual influence associated with zodiac constellations, in this case specifically Aries of course. Then there's the nod to the Stellar type, which ties into the DLC2 part of the generational gimmick and Terapagos. Perhaps Terapagos represents the (Poké-)Earth, and Stellaries the stars. Did you know the Galapagos islands are a prime location for stargazing?
