Hard disagree. I think you need to feel the entire spectrum to understand what brings you happiness. You don't understand the gravity of something or someone in your life without living without it/them. It makes you appreciate the things you have. That's why really rich people can be insufferable, they don't understand how good they've got it. They don't understand your situation because they've never experienced scarcity and loss or having to actually choose.

btw he does really like the Emperor's Children but I don't really see it. Like their design is aesthetically good but I don't see how they represent excess or the whole crazy ass pain and pleasure aspect. I think it would be cool if the Emperor's Children had high heels or weapons that looked a little more savage, but still symmetrical to push the whole perfectionism thing
