It is time to find our illustrious team captains! If you wish to captain a team for WCOR 2025, you must post in this thread.

Each team is led by two captains, who themselves can (but are not obligated to) count among the total roster of 12 starters and three to five substitutes. Again: captains only count among their team's total roster if they choose to play. Both captains can play.

14 teams are already qualified to participate in WCOR 2025 based on their performance from last year. Any teams not on this list and hoping to participate in WCOR must participate in qualifiers. If you wish to captain a team not on this list, you must send a preliminary roster in a group PM to bobomania, Javi and sharpclaw via Smogon PM by the deadline.

NOTE: Per last year's announcement, Europe's players will likely be subdivided a bit differently this year.

The United States will be split into 4 regions, which are US Northeast, US South, US West, and US Midwest. Any other United States teams will not be allowed.

If so, please elaborate: I shadow managed Team Ralts' draft last CCC, managed in HGPL 2, 3 and 4 and AXPL 1, winning twice and never missing playoffs, whilst Paysa managed RBEL Dragapults this year, narrowly missing playoffs. We both have a vast wealth of experience in RandBats tours, including RBTT, WCoR, RBEL and a range of opens/side tours, as well as plenty of general tournament experience in non-rands formats.

Why would you make a good captain?: We’re both experienced players, ready to thoroughly determine our best roster and put the work in to prove this is finally UK’s year :psyangry:

Irpa managed WCoR, RBTT, CCC, HCPL, LJdA with success, including 2 CCC titles and multiple first places in regular rounds. He only missed playoffs four times in more than 5 years and +15 tours managing, and it's up for beating y'all's asses fr fr this time you'll see angry demon face
haxlolo also has over 90% playoff rates, and managing he won one LJdA, one EPL (and one final), and he had great results in HCPL and UUFPL. Let's not forget his amazing run managing Argentina in WCoP, reaching the regular stage for the first time and securing it for next year too! He also managed RBEL, and have we talked about how good he is at sending gifs on discord conversations? Absolute mastermind there.
Why would you make a good captain?: we recently managed HCPL together, reaching playoffs after dominating regular round. We are two of the most involved Latam users, and have the blessings and help of blade, luchi, and the whole team to make this year a great one. Vamos Latam woooooooo

Icy has managed both of this years CCC and rbel and made circuit top 16 last year.
Why would you make a good captain?: We're both super active members of the rands community we know the player base and how to make a good team environment

Prior managing experience: I shadow managed team Kangaskhan to a championship this past RBEL, and Drifting has a ton of managing experience to his name, including making finals last WCOR, playoffs in LCWL, champions of RBEL 1 and managing RBTT and a bunch of other PLs.
Why would you make a good captain?: We both have a wealth of experience in randbats and sound knowledge of the community, and we are fired up and ready to create the best roster to finish the job after coming so close last year.

Prior managing experience? If so, please elaborate: We both have quite diverse experience, I for my part have been captain of Venezuela in WCOP, RCOP and UUWCOP, I have also been captain of small tours like the Shodeni Farmers League (secondary tournament of the Spanish Premier League) reaching the semifinals in the latter.
Long has been captain of Venezuela in WCOP and some other tournaments such as the Spanish Premier League.
Why would you make a good captain?: We are responsible managers who make sure that our players are aware of their games, plus we can both help resolve player schedules.

Prior managing experience? If so, please elaborate: My only prior managing experience was through CCC3 when I managed the Cutieflies to a pretty mediocre record. However, I think the environment within the Discord chats was excellent and I'm sure I can recreate that experience.
Kinetic has managed the last and current OMFL(V and VI) and I think will make a good partner and co-manager after some discussion with them.
Why would you make a good captain?: I think I would make a good captain because I am aware of the community that I'm part of and I'm willing to go the extra mile to ensure that US West has the best performance and best environment possible and I believe that Kinetic will be able to do the same. May the West soar to new heights!

Why would you make a good captain?:
Id be able to be a great capitain due to my past experience on competitive tours, past gen randbats and general people management. My partner Jeoz has lots of achievements on the RandBat world, we a good pair and hope we get far this time, because we've been preparing ourselfs to do a amazing preformance this year.

Prior managing experience? If so, please elaborate: I’ve actively participated in various Smogon tournaments including OMs and Randbats events, and I’ve supported team coordination on Showdown. While I haven’t officially captained in past team tours, I’m highly familiar with the structure and competitive atmosphere.
Why would you make a good captain?: I’m very active on Pokémon Showdown and the Smogon forums, and I have strong familiarity with all Randbats formats from Gen 1 to Gen 9, including Doubles. I’m confident in building a cohesive, competitive roster for Team India and ensuring weekly lineups are handled on time. I bring strategic thinking, consistency, and a serious commitment to representing India well.

Why would you make a good captain?: Both me and Thunder played last year in WCOR for team PoPo and are active within the portuguese community

I went 3-1 in WCOR last year losing only to violet river (of course). I have an extreme passion for Random Battles and I have been so driven to find success in the scene. I am well-versed in all format generations (I have something like 15000 games across them all and have topped several ladders) and therefore am familiar with many of whom I would draft. Also, Rage and I are already going to be hosting the Gen 4 bracket of Rands Circuit V, so we’re confident we’ll be a good pair!
Rage on the other hand is Rage. I don’t think I have to say much on them :3
