Winners!
:sv/jellicent:

Name: Jellicent
Type: Water/Fairy
Stats: 100/60/85(+15)/85/105/60 (495)
Movepool Changes: Draining Kiss, Teleport
Explanation: Becomes a stronger check to Dragaplunge, as well as flipping its matchup with Dark types on its head. Still struggles into Iron Hands and Iron Blimp.
Name: Mandibuzz :mandibuzz:
Type: Dark/Flying
Abilities: Rough Skin/Overcoat | Weak Armor
Stats: 110/80(+15)/105/55/95/95
Movepool Changes: + Earthquake, Bulk Up
Explanation: having no abil is kinda ass tbh. Generating options in rough skin to deal with gambit and pult by chip is nice. Additional attack and speed allow Mandi to utilize knock turn more effectively. Having bulk up also benifits non Defog sets by a lot
:sv/barraskewda:
Fuckin fish
Name: Barraskewda
Type: Water / Dark
Abilities: Swift Swim, Cloud Nine
Stats: 76 (+15) / 123 / 65 (+5) / 60 / 70 (+10) / 136 | BST: 520 (+30)
Movepool Changes:
:plusle: Play Rough, Spirit Break, Ice Spinner, Switcheroo, Knock Off

Explanation: Barraskewda is historically and near comically overreliant on its water moves and CC. Here’s the easiest fix to this issue. Because of how common Sun is, barraskewda often finds itself being incredibly matchup fishy, this change to give it access to cloud nine gives the mon an incredible niche outside of rain as weather counterplay. Dark typing gives it a good secondary STAB, and lets it deal with kingambit in a 1v1 scenario. Overall just shores up skewdas flaws, gives it new advantages and just improves the mon.
victreebel.gif

Name: Victreebel
Type: Grass / Poison
Abilities: Chlorophyll / Grassy Surge / Gluttony
Stats: 80/120/75/100/75/70 [+15 ATK, +10 DEF, +5 SpD] (BST: 520)
Movepool Changes: +Gunk Shot
Explanation: Victreebel retains its role as a sun sweeper with buffed attack. However, it also gains a new role in the tier, setting Grassy Terrain. GTerrain Victreebel on its own functions like Rillaboom, setting up with Swords Dance and clicking Grassy Glide. Compared to Rillaboom, it trades a bit of power, speed, and bulk in exchange for a secondary STAB option in Gunk Shot/Poison Jab.

While Grassy Terrain Victreebel will probably be decent on its own, it will be at its best when supporting another pokemon on the brink of Extinction, Hawlucha. Hawlucha when paired with a Terrain setter, allows it to instantly proc Unburden with a Grassy Seed, enabling sweeps. GTerrain could also give Slurpuff a miniscule buff to its non-Belly Drum sets, allowing it to proc Unburden as well.
:ss/pangoro:
Name: Pangoro
Abilities: Iron Fist / Mold Breaker / Sand Rush
Stats: 95/124/85/69/71/66 | 510
Explanation: Iron Fist Reference? inspired by cowboy_bandido pangoro now has an instant niche of being the first sand abuser. extra speed outpaces base 90 scarfs and the rest goes into def for a bit of prio resistance

Feel free to discuss, we will continue with diverge slate tomorrow

  • Exact same BST (you may redistribute stats)
  • At least one type
  • At least one ability
  • Inherits the movepool of the 'ancestor' mon - while you can add/remove moves freely, keep this is mind when making your sub(s).
Group D Sub Template
Name:
Original Pokemon:
Type:

Stats:
Movepool Changes:
Explanation: Explain the Pokemon's competitive role and how it fits in the current meta.
Flavor: Explain what caused the original Pokemon to adapt this way. Yes it is required, but you don't have to be very in-depth about it.

Important thing to note is the upcoming new voting structure for Group D: the top two voted submissions will be added, but the original mon will also be a voting option, and if it is not a winning submission, will be removed from the meta. This allows problematic top tiers to be more naturally voted out of the meta instead of through council intervention, so no balance changes will be necessary until after the main slates are over! What matters for the purpose of submissions is not to worry too much on making your submissions distinct from the base mon.

Submissions will be open until Wednesday night (7/9). Good luck everyone!

Glacial Majesty
Name: Queenialis
Type: Ice / Dark
Abilities: Defiant / Queenly Majesty | Ice Body
Stats: 85 HP / 100 Atk / 80 Def / 105 SpA / 80 SpD / 100 Spe | BST: 550
Movepool Changes:
:plusle: Ice Punch, Ice Spinner, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Blizzard, Icy Wind, Powder Snow, Cleave Wave, Calm Mind
:minun: Kowtow Cleave
Cleave Wave: Dark-type Psyshock, Sharpness boosted
Explanation:
:plusle: Queenialis has less Atk and bulk for higher Speed and Special Attack, giving it a lot more flexibility for it’s learnset. Although it has dual STAB priority for it’s physical sets, it can also opt for special set with Dark Pulse / Cleave Wave, Ice Beam and Focus Blast / Grass Knot and Calm Mind as sets. It can also opt for Queenly Majesty instead to protect itself from Mach Punch, First Impression and other priority moves.
:minun: Having worse defensive type and bulk than Kingambit leaves it more prone to be revenge killed, and having less offensive stats compared to Kingambit’s Attack stat leaves it less immediate power, meaning it might not score important KOs without setting up.
Flavor: Despite it’s elegant, glacial look, it is as ruthless as a Kingambit, and is able to move fast to catch opponents that other members of the clan cannot catch. It’s signature Special move, Cleave Wave, sends a sinister, painful, spiked wave that hits the opponent’s Defense.

i have two idea:
:kingambit: :empoleon:

Name: Capseidon
Original Pokemon: Kingambit
Type: Water/Steel
Abilities: Defiant/Supreme Overlord/Torrent
Stats
: 85/135/105/85/90/70
Movepool Changes:
:minun: Kowtow Cleave, Assurance, Night Slash, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse, Lash Out, Low Sweep, Low Kick,

:plusle: Waterfall, Razor Shell, Surf, Aqua Jet, Thunderbolt, Trident Strike (Water-type Triple Axel clone)

Explanation: I thought it would be fun to have a variant of Kingambit with a bit of a different profile - Water/Steel's defensive profile is going to be important in the coming meta and I liked the idea of an offensive mon that switches into all these water moves and can be threatening in response - and in particular I do think there should be a physical mon that threatens the new Jellicent sub hence the Electric-type coverage. Also, switching into and setting up on Dragaplunge is cool i think.
Flavor: The Pawniard line's overpopulation in the region have forced many Pawniard to seek other, non-traditional environments - one coastal population, in competition with a stronger group of Pawniard, have become amphibious, moving into the waters around the island. When these aquatic Pawniard - called 'Swabre' evolve, their vestigal hooves merge into long, fish-like tails, with their lightweight blades doubling as fins - though no less sharp when hunting when compared to the related Bisharp. The resulting pokemon was dubbed 'Swainpike' - their blades used more for thrusting than slashing, due to the latter's clumsiness underwater. Particularly powerful Swainpike will gather steel - from other Swabre, their landbound cousins, or simply human wrecks, and often convert their underwater homes into forges, the minions under their command toiling to produce a symbol of their dominance - and the most powerful of those will have that weapon, usually a trident, forged into their own arms. Something about the forging technique gives these 'Capseidon' the ability to deliver a powerful electric shock using the wicked tridents each brandishes, and they use this to keep lesser sea Pokemon in line in their underwater kingdoms.

Appearance-wise, imagine a mer-Bisharp type pokemon with a trident built into one of its arms. If you're familiar with DC Comics, think Orm of Atlantis, aesthetics-wise.

:dragapult: :kingdra: :tentacruel:

Name: Serplunge
Original Pokemon: Dragaplunge
Type: Poison/Water
Abilities: Clear Body/Merciless/Levitate
Stats: 98/95/80/110/105/102 (base 600)
Movepool Changes:
:minun: Dragon Rush, Draco Meteor, Dragon Darts, Dragon Claw, Outrage, Dragon Cheer, Dragon Dance

:plusle: Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Venoshock, Gunk Shot, Coil, Poison Fang, Crunch, Toxic, Toxic Spikes

Explanation: As I've said in an earlier sub, a bulky poison/water could be an interesting inclusion in this meta, especially with the addition of a bulky water/fairy like the new Jellicent - having defensive options that beat the new kid in town that also switch into Water and Fighting moves, and can set up Toxic Spikes to great effect on those mons it switches in on. I also think having an alternative Poison-type to Muk and Munkidori could be interesting in such a fairy-profligated metagame.
Flavor: Dragaplunge's dominion of the shallows in its new feeding grounds has made them compete with each other even moreso - to the point where smaller, less aggressive of the species have found themselves forced into deeper waters to search for food. Their already small and vestigal arms and legs have atrophied yet more, forming a more serpentine body for better navigation of the deep waters - although they've retained Dragaplunge's limited flight characteristics, some Serplunge spend their entire lives in water. What has developed strongly are their fangs and venomous barbs, vestigal in the original Dragapult, now powerfully apparent on these new Serplunge, which they use to deliver a venomous bite to their prey, letting the poison take its course before finally going for the kill.

Appearance-wise, what if dragapult was a fanged sea serpent

Electric.png
Ice.png

Abilities
: Slush Rush | Motor Drive
Stats: 94 / 94 / 116 / 96 / 68 / 92 [560 BST]
Movepool Changes:
:plusle: Aqua Jet, Blizzard, Chilling Water, Crabhammer, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Icy Wind, Snowscape, Surf, Water Pulse
:minun: Acrobatics, Defog, Dual Wingbeat, Nuzzle, Roost, Tailwind
Explanation: Special Ices are nowhere to be found since 4/5 of the Ices got nuked out of the meta, so here's a replacement for those guys. The biggest draw of this mon is it has an incredible matchup into Iron Blimp, easily switching into and threatening it, and potentially even sweeping from there if you get a Motor Drive boost. Electric/Ice is a pretty scary offensive typing in this meta, but that's balanced out by middling Speed and poor coverage.
Flavor: Iron Blimp evolved to live in water, and what's the blimp of the sea? That's right - shrimp cocktail. Don't believe me? Well, think of it this way - both sound better than they actually are, and both can go bad if they get too hot.

fried this

:sv/slurpuff::milcery:
Name: Fumochi
Original Pokemon: Puffache
Type:
Fairy.png
Psychic.png

Abilities: Sweet Veil / Gooey | Water Absorb
Stats: 87/55/106/95/70/67 [480 BST]
Movepool Changes:
:plusle: Chilling Water, Future Sight, Heal Pulse, Healing Wish, Hydro Pump, Magic Coat, Psyshock, Psywave, Teleport, Trick Room, Water Pulse, Zen Headbutt
:minun: Cotton Guard, Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Foul Play, Payback, Thief, Throat Chop
Explanation: Dragaplunge lacks consistent defensive counterplay, so here's a mon that beats it easily. Teleport also lets you be a solid defensive pivot for teams in general, with Gooey + Teleport potentially enabling midspeed wallbreakers if you wanna go down that route.
Flavor: While Puffache's scorched outer layer helped stop Fire attacks, it also made Puffache very weak to Water, making them easy prey for Dragaplunge. Because of this, some Puffache developed more moist skin, allowing them to shrug off Water attacks and even heal from them.

Bullet Seed, Energy Ball, Leech Seed, Grass Knot, Grassy Glide, Obstruct, Rock Blast, Seed Bomb, Stealth Rock, Synthesis, Trailblaze
:minun:
Avalanche, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Ice Spinner, Icy Wind, Snowscape
Explanation: More Dragaplunge counterplay. Crabrobber also offers an option for screwing over defensive cores that rely on the new Jellicent as their Fighting resist, as Technician Bullet Seed blows it up.
Flavor: Crabominable expanded its habitat into more tropical areas of the region, developing the ability to punch rocks hard enough and with enough precision to knock coconuts out of trees.

Name: dragapex
Original Pokemon: dragaplunge
Type: Poison/Water
Abilities: Clear Body / Sticky Hold | Merciless
Stats: 110/85/75/88/132/110
Movepool Changes:
+ chilling water, toxic spikes, toxic, poison jab, gunk shot, flip turn, sludge bomb, earthquake, life dew
- draco meteor, flamethrower, u-turn, blizzard, fire blast, dragon dance, thunder wave,
Explanation: The few fairies and waters in this meta all have very potent presences in the meta. You get a defensive mon that you now need to be smart with your switches rather than U-turn spam. By acting as a spd wall, dragapex is vulnerable to the offensive grounds and electrics. You still have great offensive potential via merciless but the stats leave much to be desired. Doesn’t have recovery but has stats to back it up, with pain split for emergencies. Eq ice beam pult realized
Flavor: i hate dragaplunge.

:iron-hands: :iron-thorns:

+ Mighty Cleave, Stone Edge Rock Blast, Stealth Rock, Recover, Surf, Power Gem, Aura Sphere

Movepool Changes:
+ Body Press, Moonblast, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, Explosion, Defog, Curse, Ominous Wind, Night Shade, Whirlwind, Iron Defense
- Stealth Rock, Calm Mind, Draining kiss, Play Rough, Psychic, Cotton Guard
Explanation: a better defensive ghost that can more or less reliably handle annoying offensive mons. Bulk is bad has to artificially boost it either through intim or psalt. Has iron press on a good type but is prone into bricking into ghosts that way. Also has Defog I guess
Flavor: Puffache is dead and we have killed them

- Dark Pulse, Kotow Cleave, Night Slash, Swords Dance, Sucker Punch, Thunder Wave

Flavor: It’s nicegambit to meet gambit you

:minun: Blizzard, Ice Shard, Ice Spinner, Ice Hammer, Icy Wind, Icicle Spear, Chilling Water, Swords Dance
Explanation: y'know what? Physically Defensive / Bulky Offense Ghost. Craniumable plays around with the incredibly wacky typing of Fighting / Ghost to be able to beat the usual ghost check in Dark while leveraging the type with some good skill offensively. It also
Flavor: Crabominable who, for reasons unknown, wore their fallen allies' skulls gained an odd spiritual power and inevitably transformed into Craniumable. with a now bony exoskeleton and hardened disposition, they have become a lot bulkier and are now able to withstand stronger attacks.

Dragon.png

Abilities: Volt Absorb / Magic Bounce / Pressure [HA]
Stats: 90 / 105 / 70 / 60 / 95 / 130 [550 BST]
Movepool Changes:
+ Autotomize, Charge, Electric Terrain, Lightning Lance, Shock Wave, Spark, Supercell Slam, Thunder, Thunder Shock, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Wild Charge (+12)
- Assurance, Dark Pulse, Fling, Foul Play, Kowtow Cleave, Lash Out, Night Slash, Snarl, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Thief, Throat Chop (-12)
Custom Move: Lightning Lance - Electric Physical Kowtow Cleave Clone
Explanation: uh I just got here but I don’t like Water/Fairy Jellicent with Strength Sap so here’s a magic bounce mon. Offensive Pivot with utility in MBounce & Para Spreading. Could also enable some of the prior buffed mons such as Eelektross who can check this defensively, and Barraskewda who can outspeed and threaten big CC damage.
Also given its speed and its intended role of being a pivot, I did also remove swords dance to prevent shenanigans on that front.
Flavor: A group of Pawniard squires trained relentlessly to protect their Kingambit. Through their effort, they learned to move fast, fighting through unconventional motions and utilizing their speed to generate electrical attacks. By electrifying their armor, they bolstered their defense against more special and passive forms of combat. As they reached the end of their journey, a Kingambit brought a blade to their shoulders, declaring them the first ever Tactiknights.

:Slurpuff:
Name: Forotten (Forgotten + Rotten)
Original Pokemon: Puffache
Type:

Dragon.png

Abilities: Stench / Sheer Force / Well-Baked Body [HA]
Stats: 97 / 55 / 96 / 95 / 85 / 52 [480 BST]
Movepool Changes:
+ Burning Jealousy, Curse, Grudge, Lash Out, Lick, Phantom Force, Poltergeist, Shadow Ball, Spite (+9)
- Charm, Cotton Guard, Cotton Spore, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, Energy Ball, Fairy Wind, Misty Explosion, Play Rough (-9)
Explanation: We were running low on Ghosts so I wanted to add a new ghost to the pool. This takes a different turn from our current ghosts, taking up the mantle of being a slow & bulky sheer force breaker.
Flavor: Puffache’s very strength was also a weakness. They excelled at combat, but their foul odors left few willing trainers to catch and train them. These remaining Puffaches, without help, would be unable to maintain themselves. Their bodies would grow stale, and their icing rancid. These Puffaches would act bitter and hostile as a result of their neglect.

Name: Kingclaw (King + Claw)
Original Pokemon: Crabominable
Type:
Dragon.png
Dragon.png

Abilities: Technician / Iron Fist / Moxie [HA]
Stats: 112 / 132 / 72 / 62 / 57 / 73 [508 BST]
Movepool Changes:
+ Comet Punch, Crush Claw, Dizzy Punch, Fake Out, Rock Blast, Stockpile, Spit Up, Swallow (+9)
- Avalanche, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Ice Hammer, Ice Shard, Ice Spinner, Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Snowscape (-9)
Explanation: I didn’t want to change too much from the original, although I wanted this to lean more heavily into utilizing technician to revenge kill. So now it swaps its ice type for normal, and gains access to STAB fake out, allowing it to try twice as much to priority revenge kill with that + mach punch. Ghosts do get in the way of this plan to revenge kill, however there aren’t too many ghosts in the meta rn so it’s not too glaring of a weakness. Also we only have like 2 normal types in the meta, both of which are pretty mid, so I wanted to provide something else for the category.
Flavor: With Crabominable’s newfound power, they’ve slowly been encroaching outside of their mountainous home. Their offspring almost never return to the mountains, making them shed their icy elements, and enabling them to be a bit more nimble. The extra resources found away from the mountain led them to adopt a more pompous, regal attitude.

EDIT: If you noticed a recent edit from this post, I just noticed I made a typo saying “Iron Fish” instead of “Iron Fist”

Abilities: Sweet Veil / Harvest / Liquid Ooze
Stats: 87/60/96/85/95/52
Movepool Changes:
+ Apple Acid, Giga Drain, Grav Apple, Knock Off, Synthesis, Toxic Spikes
- Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Recover, Stealth Rock
Explanation: Really silly mixup against Strength Sap mons (like uh. someone. who someone just added to the meta) as well as a kinda bulky defensive piece into mons like Dragaplunge (should it remain in existence!). Harvest is there too if you're a crazy person, I guess.
Flavor: The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, it sealed his fate. And who provided those apples? None other than Orchache - a descendant of the Puffache species that dwells in apple orchards and lures in prey by decieving them with tainted fruits.

Name: Blimplin
Original Pokemon: Iron Blimp
Type:

Abilities: Cloud Nine / Motor Drive
Stats: 119/80/104/98/70/80
Movepool Changes:
+ Air Slash, Bleakwind Storm, Hurricane, Springtide Storm, Weather Ball, Wildbolt Storm
- Discharge, Roost, Toxic, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
+ Amnesia, Astonish, Body Slam, Copycat, Covet, Defense Curl, Disable, Echoed Voice, Endeavor, Gust, Gyro Ball, Hyper Voice, Mimic, Minimize, Spit Up, Stockpile, Swallow
- Charge, Eerie Impulse, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Rising Voltage, Shock Wave, Thunder Shock
Explanation: Iron Blimp but worse (still a good mon!). Gets to keep Nuzzle and Encore, but loses Roost and Toxic, making it play something of a faster game instead of just sitting there and eating hits forever. Gets a tiny bit more mixed bulk for its troubles.
Flavor: The present-day form of Iron Blimp, Blimplin are a strange species that resemble weather balloons. Much like weather balloons, they follow storms and unusual weather patterns. Their rubbery skin makes them resilient against the highly charged air in storm clouds.

Name: Swamplunge
Original Pokemon: Dragaplunge
Type: Water/Ground
Abilities: Damp / Infiltrator / Water Absorb
Stats: 98/100/85/100/85/132
Movepool Changes:
+ Crunch, Earth Power, Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Stealth Rock, Tadpole Torpedos
- Draco Meteor, Dragon Dance, Dragon Darts, Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, U-Turn
it's just dragon darts but ground type lol
+ Block, Bulldoze, Dig, Gastro Acid, Mud Shot, Mud-Slap, Rock Tomb, Sandstorm, Sludge
- Confuse Ray, Dragon Breath, Dragon Cheer, Dragon Rush, Solar Beam, Sunny Day
Explanation: It's less optimised Dragaplunge that trades the power of Big Funny Draco Meteors for some bulk, a better defensive typing, and rocks.
Flavor: A smaller, amphibious descendant of Dragaplunge more adapted to coastal swamps than the open oceans that its ancestors once called home. Similar to others of the Dragapult family, it's capable of firing its own young at its foes to attack.

Meta Explanation: Bulky Physical Attacking Pivot that can sponge a lot of physical hits rather well and deal heavy damage. Has utility in wisp + rapid spin alongside pivoting that can allow it to deal with certain mons like Kingambit really effectively despite having to conserve its health properly as its main attacking moves being recoil plus no longevity really irks it.

+ Acrobatics, Agility, Brave Bird, Defog, Fly, Gust, Hurricane, Mirror Shot, Meteor Beam, Power Gem, Steel Wing, Tailwind
- Brick Break, Dig, Focus Blast, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Poison Jab, Stealth Rock, Sucker Punch
Explanation: Oops I turned Kingambit into a special attacker! Designed as a meteor beam spammer thanks to its great typing and effective rock stab via rocky payload. Incentivices use of more lower-tier mons such as Aggron and Eelektross to respond to it, since the rock moves make Iron Blimp less reliable of an option to switch in against it.
The day is dim and cloudy. Rain falls quietly for as far as the eye can see. Kingambit exits his car wearing a full black suit, tears gently falling down his face. Iron Blimp approaches him standing strong. "Hey buddy, I know how much he meant to you. I'm so sorry." The two of them walk together with Iron Blimp's hands firmly planted on Kingambit's shoulder and take two open seats next to one another. Kingambit begins sobbing hysterically out of nowhere. "Why was he taken from us so soon? To hell with this cruel world!" Before the crowd of seats sits a podium where a man would soon begin to speak about the death of everyone's good friend Minior.

Movepool Changes:
+ Bullet Seed, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Flip Turn, Hydro Steam, Mega Drain, Power Whip, Seed Bomb, Worry Seed
- Blizzard, Draco Meteor, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball
Explanation: New offensive grass option, which can opt into either physical DDance sets, with STAB pivoting via Flip Turn to differentiate it from the other pult species, or special sets that are boosted in sun thanks to STAB Hydro Steam and Solar Beam. Monoritor is not a flashy sub, but it is a solid middle-ground voting option: if Dragaplunge is removed it can fill in its role in the meta, albeit less effectively, and if plunge stays it still has the sun niche.
Flavor: Dragaplunges expand to the shallower waters of kelp forests and river mouths, covering their bodies in seagrasses to camoflauge better in the new environment.

Stats: 90 / 81 / 71 / 122 / 80 / 64 [BST= 508]
Movepool Changes:
+ Clear Smog, Ember, Fire Blast, Fire Punch, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Freeze Dry, Purify, Smokescreen, Sludge Wave, Toxic
- Earthquake, Close Combat, Mach Punch, Superpower
Explanation: Dagnabbit I turned another physical powerhouse into a special attacker! Fortunately for Smokescrab though, special Ice coverage is pretty sparse right now. Main feature is STAB Freeze-Dry off a high SpA, which combined with Storm Drain lets it switch into and threaten Dragaplunge and Jellicent very efficiently, though it only outspeeds the latter. Still has to worry about Ground and Fighting coverage though, and boots are a must when on teams lacking good hazard control. Someone is totally going to get farmed by a physical Anger Point Smokescrab at some point in this mod's lifetime by the way, mark my words.
Flavor: Crabominable's newfound success allowed it to migrate to warmer climates. The most extreme case of this is Smokescrab, which live in high-volcanic areas of mountains and deep sea. They can harvest energy from thermal vents in these regions to later fire from their arms when needed.

Name: Grandmastem (Grandmaster - Stem)
Original Pokemon: Kingambit
Type: Steel/Grass
Abilities: Defiant, Pressure, Triage
Stats: 100/93/85/83/124/65
Movepool Changes:
+ Leaf Blade, Seed Bomb, Leech Seed, Drain Punch,
- Swords Dance
Explanation: Specially bulky hazard setter which can act as a check to multiple dangerous special attackers with it's spdef and typing, like Latios, Munkidori, and Dragaplunge if that isn't voted out. However, it fears Volcanion due to it's 4x weakness. Has Triage but lacks ways to use it offensively, instead uses it to get easier synthesises and niechly, to scare Kingambit and Crabominable with priority drain punch.
Flavor: Kingambit in deep bamboo forests began to mimic the shoots of the bamboo in order to catch younger bisharp off guard. Eventually, this mimicry became biological rather than simply aesthetic.

:sv/Crabominable: :sv/Grapploct:
Name: Moltussle (Molt + Tussle)
Original Pokemon: Crabominable
Type: Water/Fighting
Abilities: Technician, Anger Point, Hyper Cutter
Stats: 112/100/112/62/77/33
Movepool Changes:
+ Slack Off, Storm Throw,
- Swords Dance, Ice Shard, Mach Punch
Explanation: Bulky pivot with offensive utility in boosted phazing in Storm Throw and boosted flip turn. Hates the prescence of Volcanion but matches up better into certain pult sets and especially Gambit and Rookada. Can get in frailer attackers like Haxorus and Crabominable (assuming it isn't voted out)
Flavor: Crabominable's recent population growth have lead them to being hunted in the mountains by notable Unovan fast food company Joe's Crab Shack. This has lead them to not only migrate southward into the sea, but also caused their claws to shrink and their shell to grow stronger, as the crabominables with the largest claws were sought out by Joe's.

:sv/Slurpuff: :sv/Pecharunt:
Name: Puffpeach (Puff + Peach)
Original Pokemon: Puffache
Type: Normal/Dark
Abilities: Sweet Veil, Poison Heal
Stats: 87/85/96/50/60/102
Movepool Changes:
+ Double Edge, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Obstruct, Swords Dance
- N/A
Explanation: Bulky(ish) wincon with Poison Heal + SD and Facade and obstruct over protect, but you have a middling (ish) speed tier as well as a bad defensive type and special bulk. Incentivizes use of Steel and Rock types like Crustle and Orthworm without a 4x fighting weakness due to slurpuff having Drain Punch. This also makes it a solid answer against Kingambit. Loathes the prescene of Iron Hands and especially Crabominable. Forces switches with Obstruct.
Flavor: In order to curb rising Muk and Okidogi populations, certain Puffache's have been seen to consume large amounts of Pecha berries. However, the high acid content in the berries have neutralized the effect of their fire resistant fur.

Glacial Majesty
Name: Queenialis
Type: Ice / Dark
Abilities: Defiant / Supreme Overlord | Queenly Majesty
:kingambit: Supreme Overlord is fine on this, but having multiple SO mons in a meta is a risky decision, especially for a mon like Queenialis which has little overlap with Kingambit in terms of counters. Add a secondary ability alongside Supreme Overlord to replace it in case Kingambit stays.

i have two idea:
:kingambit: :empoleon:

Name: Capseidon
Original Pokemon: Kingambit
Type: Water/Steel
Abilities: Defiant/Supreme Overlord/Torrent
Stats
: 80/135/100/80/85/90
Movepool Changes:
:minun: Kowtow Cleave, Assurance, Night Slash, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse, Lash Out, Low Sweep, Low Kick,

:plusle: Waterfall, Razor Shell, Surf, Aqua Jet, Bolt Strike, Thunderbolt, Trident Strike (Water-type Triple Axel clone)

:plusle: Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Venoshock, Gunk Shot, Coil, Glare, Poison Fang, Crunch, Toxic, Toxic Spikes

:kingambit: This mon at least is similar enough to Kingambit that we don't feel SO is veto-worthy, but is otherwise overtuned due to its 135 Atk + SD, solid speed tier, and coverage. Move 20 points in Speed to other stats AND remove Bolt Strike.
:dragapult::kingdra: Access to Glare with a good defensive profile in Levitate Water/Poison makes this a very consistent para spreader which we're not very comfortable with. Besides if you want an annoying para spreader just use Iron Blimp amirite??? Remove Glare.

:dragapult: :toxapex:

+ Mighty Cleave, Stone Edge Rock Blast, Stealth Rock, Recover, Surf, Power Gem, Aura Sphere
- Roost, nuzzle, U-Turn
Explanation: versatile meteor beam mon while still being usable defensively
Flavor: I hate iron blimp

:Houndstone: :slurpuff:
Name: Dead Puffache
Original Pokemon: Puffache
Type: Dark/Ghost
Abilities: Sweet Veil / Purifying Salt / Intimidate
Stats: 96/65/87/100/72/60
Movepool Changes:
+ Body Press, Moonblast, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, Explosion, Defog, Curse, Ominous Wind, Night Shade, Whirlwind
- Stealth Rock, Calm Mind, Draining kiss, Play Rough, Psychic,
Explanation: a better defensive ghost that can more or less reliably handle annoying offensive mons. Bulk is bad has to artificially boost it either through intim or psalt. Has cotton press on a good type but is prone into bricking into ghosts that way. Also has Defog I guess
Flavor: Puffache is dead and we have killed them

Name: Nicegambit
Original Pokemon: Kingambit
Type: Steel/Ice
Abilities: Pressure / Snow Warning / Heatproof
Stats: 85/75/75/120/135/60
Movepool Changes:

- Dark Pulse, Kotow Cleave, Night Slash, Swords Dance, Sucker Punch, Thunder Wave
Explanation: ice bulky offensive mon that can set snow because I hate drought and fushimmer was a mistake. Can leverage large bulk with pain split to offensively heal on bulkier sets while pivoting with chilly to keep weather
Flavor: It’s nicegambit to meet gambit you
:slurpuff::morgrem: Not a veto necessarily but change Dead Puffache's name (or we will change it for you).

:plusle: Haunting Hammer (Ghost Type Ice Hammer clone.) Shadow Bone, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball, Hex, Curse, Bone Rush, Bonemerang.

:minun: Blizzard, Ice Shard, Ice Spinner, Ice Hammer, Icy Wind, Icicle Spear, Chilling Water
:crabominable: The notoriously stacked Fighting/Ghost offensive combo with SD and STAB prio makes this near unstoppable once it gets a boost up. Removing Swords Dance should make this balanced. It also

Abilities: Volt Absorb / Magic Bounce / Pressure [HA]
Stats: 90 / 105 / 70 / 60 / 95 / 130 [550 BST]
Movepool Changes:
+ Autotomize, Charge, Electric Terrain, Lightning Lance, Shock Wave, Spark, Supercell Slam, Thunder, Thunderbolt, U-Turn, Volt Switch, Wild Charge (+12)

:crabominable:
Name: Kingclaw (King + Claw)

:kingambit: Very optimized pivot, the breaking point is a fast U-turn which allows it to very safely switch out of would-be checks such as Iron Blimp and Eelektross; Removing U-turn and having to rely on Volt Switch makes Tactiknight's checks more reliable.

Name: Orchache
Original Pokemon: Puffache

- Draco Meteor, Dragon Dance, Dragon Darts, Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Flamethrower
it's just dragon darts but ground type lol
:dragapult::kingdra:Remove U-turn; see Tactiknight above for reasoning, it's not as bad but we don't like this having U-turn for free fast pivoting either.

Iron Blimp got out veto-free, what a scamp! Anyways, you have 48 hours to make the according adjustments.

Are you sure this is balanced with only SD being dropped? It might be hard to deal with defensively as well. It also
If Craniumable retained the base Attack of Crabominable it might have been overtuned even without Swords Dance, but with the ~25-point nerf to Attack it's going to hit noticeably softer compared to the base mon. It's basically a Crabominable that trades immediate power and boosting with better bulk and an unresisted stab combo, And it's hard to really take advantage of the extra bulk since it can't boost and still only has a slow Flip Turn in terms of utility. It also

I did replaced Supreme Overlord and moved Queenly Majesty to that spot as Secondary Ability, while it has Ice Body as it’s new Hidden Ability. Not the most creative, but it’s there to emphasize it’s Ice-type.

All subs have been fixed, so voting will start early! Here are the rules:
  • Voting is limited to up to three subs per category: any vote listed after the third will be ignored.
  • Order matters: the first submission listed will get 2 votes (unless you only vote one submission in the category)
  • You can only self-vote for up to two of your submissions, and neither can be first position.
  • Most importantly, remember the original mon is also a voting option! Just put its name to vote for it, it can also be listed first for the two-count vote. The top two voted mons in a category are added, and if the original mon is not one of them, it will be removed from the meta.
Voting is open until Sunday 7/20 at 12:00PM CDT. Good luck y'all!
