Honestly I probably should wait until more people post to see what the appetite to voting me is but I think this is probably a pivotal day.

I pushed Cel, I thought I had good reasons, I laid out those reasons and I was wrong. It happens. It seemed reasonable to me at the time and it still seems reasonable to me now. It appears that it seemed reasonable to other people in town as well. I'll re-read the game after I exit it to see what I missed.

I didn't ignore the tracker claim.

I've given it some thought, and I think I'm content to not bite on this bait.

I went back and looked at PMD mafia after Cel self-voted and I saw kind of the same "give-up" mentality and I thought it connected.

I also had the thought that if he's scum (1/5 prior) he'll always claim a strong PR, whereas if he's town (4/5 prior) he'll only claim a strong PR if he actually is one (maybe 1/4?). So the bayesian probability actually leans a strong PR claim to be more likely scum than baseline.

It's not the first time I've seen scum self-vote. I think Tommy did the same as well. Maybe it was a UK/Ireland thing who tf knows. On a personal note I'm actually pretty pissed off at Celever because I thought, well if he was scum at least he could say it was a gambit to stay alive, but no he was town PR and made the counterwagon literally harder to get through and maybe it would have mattered. I don't know what his alignment is but he does and he shouldn't have self-voted.

I'm mainly making this post because I wanted to stress that:
NKA is mainly WIFOM
Even if you did not believe that, then the NKA I've seen in the thread is wrong anyways

Firstly I guess that they think fairy is somehow towncleared off her opposition to the cel vote. Which, fine.

Secondly, I think my four takeaways from Fairy's gameplay was:
-Got into a fight with flanders at EOD
-Voted NE
-Hated Cel wagon
-Had that weird thing with her and evie

4 I'm not reading into and 3 is probably what got her nightkilled.

1 and 2 I guess is where we would want to look but I don't personally scumread either so it's kind of hard to be convinced that way. But that would be where you would look if you believed in NKA. I think Joey was the only person who brought this up.

I don't think anyone NK's me or M2H given we just voted off Cel. Maybe you can talk about AP. No idea. I don't play mafia with many reactionary level 1 thoughts "oh people with good reps are alive they're scum" on page 3 of Day 2.

Outside of that, then, I thought M2H and AP's votes at EOD were actually dogshit. Ch3mdah? Evie? A vote for Ch3mdah is essentially a vote for Cel but without getting your hands dirty. Evie I don't understand at all. Can the two of you please explain?

The ch3mdah vote was because the whole reason I gave it and accepted the celever wagon was because I saw ch3mdah as #4 town in celevers readslist when they have done essentially nothing but mech spec in a very questionable tone. I saw that and I thought maybe celever could be protecting a teammate and that if celever is scum he probably is, but that is far from me saying ch3 is only scum if celever is and I still would not mind that vote.

And it's retarded because we all just came off a game where realiti got busted day 1 for putting flanders too high up on his readslist, and if cel was scum, then he would already be in spew-mode by then and this would be a really easy way to through doubt on a weird nothing-burger slot that probably won't defend itself very well.

I don't understand why you are grilling me for throwing out a useless vote at eod when I changes my mind and reluctantly voted celever literally seconds later. I was conflicted about the celever wagon, but I decided it was better to be on the wagon than not. That's as far as it goes.

i do have to say that hal coming into the thread and immediately pushing one of the power players in the room and ignoring the tracker claim fully kinda rubs me the wrong way. plus there is still the whole thing when hal was saying "i don't want people to sheep me and am just gonna post reads" that did not feel authentic to me.

Anyway the af/Celever arguments from D1 being TvT would be interesting if it were other people, but they always seem to butt heads somehow in the early game so it’s annoying how few connections we can draw from it. sure but it's also the case that celever had absolutely no reason to have ch3m that high. so whether ch3 was tmi'd town or scum I had no clue but it was the thing that made me not really try that hard to fight the cel vote. And re the ch3 vote I figured either way cel flips it was a vote that's bound to happen anyways. If cel is town the slot is independently scummy and if cel is maf the slot is either tmi'd town or scum but at this rate id never be able to figure it out.

re: it being retarded. ultimately cel has to put his partners somewhere. are skip joey and fairy all obv town enough that ch3 sticks out like a sore thumb? I kinda think so but I see people that doubted some of those spots yesterday, particularly skip. I was combing over cels readslist asking myself if he was maf where would his partners be and I saw ch3 with some role spec that could potentially be town spewing if my prefrontal cortex was about 18% more developed but I couldn't wrap my head around how or why town celever would arrive at that so I started pairing the two. I don't think it's as fucking obvious as you're making it out to be that celever would rank all his teammates in perfectly reasonable positions if he was mafia. I think if cel is mafia there he thinks "oh I can just say they seemed innocent on tone" and brush it aside and that's more or less plausible.
