NOC E.G.O Wielders Mafia - A 17P Role Madness (Game Thread) - MAFIA WIN

If you flip town, we get good info on joey and Evie and anyone else who’s discussed you a lot that I’m forgetting. If you flip scum, I genuinely think that catches another. Talk about a great trade deal!

so you wanna intentionally vote out someone you think could be town?
This is a really weird way to load the question and it reflects poorly on you. Outside of redchecks, every vote on potential scum is cast with a certain level of acceptance that they may actually be town. I'm merely pointing out that town will still get something useful beyond your role info if you flip town, which adds value to the vote since it raises the value floor of flipping your slot.

By comparison, flipping des is a much worse idea because we get nothing off her interactions if she's town (yes this is a jab at AngryPidgeon)

I'm not inherently expressing support for voting inactives at this very moment, but it is true that if we don't vote people who are inactive/low-contributing and they are town, they are the ones whose hands the endgame is going to be in and that's a dangerous situation because we can't reliably trust them to have reads/gamesense. Plus if they are scum we obviously need to vote them out at some point, and we can't just let them get away with not getting voted because they are low activity.

I mean the ideal in this scenario is that everyone just starts contributing meaningfully

StupidFlandrs48 can you explain from your perspective, assuming me and skipper are both scum, what happened with the end of day 2 / hal vote?

not trying to "gotcha" I just want to know what implications this has for your gameview
In terms of EoD2 all I see is you guys jumping on at the last minute because that's already the way the wind was blowing. The hal wagon already had momentum by the time skipper came in, and you even tried voting for Neon first before swapping. If hal flips red and you're caught voting neon, getting caught on the CW looks terrible. If Neon flips green then there are even more question marks about people voting Neon to save hal, which intensifies suspicion of him in addition to implicating you, and it gets even worse if you still decide to kill M2H the following night (maybe that's a dumb NK from this alt scum POV but whatever I'm not here to litigate that).

This is completely not true. The hal wagon had 2 votes on it, both of which had been there for a large portion of the day. The wind was certainly not blowing that way

I can see the argument for my vote being jumping on the wagon when it was likely to succeed (not that it is a strong argument), given that before I voted it was tied between Neon and Hal, but at the point where skipper voted there was a majority of votes on Neon and only 2 votes on hal, that absolutely cannot be characterized as jumping onto a wagon with momentum

The Neon wagon was the definition of a placeholder (as I often say, inactive votes are only for people who've given up on a real vote), and hal was the only significant alternative being pushed in-thread by anybody (besides maybe M2H with ch3mdah but that was reeeeeeeally late). It doesn't take a genius to see what that's a recipe for: a runaway hal counterwagon.

Also - there are two people who this actually did happen to (Evie/NE) who it seems like you are ignoring here
I have already addressed this with wisp and others. I really don't want to vote out those claimed PRs until we have some real evidence to show they're fake, and flipping skipper feels like the easiest way to determine that (at least on the Evie front). I also townread NE independently of any of that.
