SV OU been playing for 1 day. hows the team?

edit: I also have never played any mons game before, so i dont know types or anything like that, i just put my pet mons (tink , hax and KG) on a team and let other sites build around it. only tweaking what i saw looked nice.

Any improvements are welcome cuz any bulky water mons is an auto gg for the team!!!

lem-jin woo (Iron Moth) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 HP / 116 Def / 136 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Dazzling Gleam
- Sunny Day
only real purpose is as a SpA mon who can get out fast and set up sunny day for tusk

nico (Great Tusk) @ Earth Plate
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Bulk Up
- Smack Down
i started watch shofu/blunder realized stealth rock were a good/staple move on a Mon like this, but decided to move it to landorus-t. I think hes bulky enought to survive most thing and most ppl(from what i see) waste turn when they see Iron moth and quake into it, allowing me to quake back or clean up rocks/spikes or bulk up if need be

Landor-daughter (Landorus-Therian) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- U-turn
- Taunt
this mon used to be my SpA sweeper but was under performing. its just a standard slot that as a new player i throw out to see what other mons i dont recognize do( and hopefully live)use to be a banded outrage mon too, so i just dont know how to use the guy

LilDink (Tinkaton) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Pickpocket
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Light Screen
- Draining Kiss
- Encore
- Gigaton Hammer
Self explanatory but its a pet mon, will always be on the team, but shes good for SpDef/. was a screen breaker but that did not work out too well, with my lack of knowledge id have alot of dead moves but as a screener herself, she stalls good and water tera is my only work around for the type

bigjacketsteve (Haxorus) @ Draco Plate
Ability: Mold Breaker
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Swords Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
Another pet mon stays on, use to be a sashed endevor/facade nuke for mons i could not handle, but spikes always meant it was a 5v6 if tusk was dead or i could not swap, i dont know anymore fun/quirky was to play him for now soooo base kit it is.

me (Kingambit) @ Leftovers
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Substitute
another perma team member but im in love with how he plays, i swapped kowtow cleave for Sub, so i can make set-up safer(no speed)also fire tera for sunny day if possible, IM and KG are usually my last 2 mons alive

There are many things I want to say about this team. I registered just to respond to this.

Firstly, Iron Moth shouldn't be setting sun. It's not suited to the role, and your team doesn't really like sun up anyway, besides Tusk, who isn't enough to justify a move slot. I'd say to make it 4 attacks, replacing sub for energy ball or any other coverage move. Moth is valuable speed control with Booster up so be smart about when you use it.

About Tusk, I think he would be better as your rocker with just dropping Lando-T entirely. Those two function pretty similarly on most teams, and having an entire new slot for a different Pokemon would be great. Drop EQ for Headlong Rush and either justify Tera Flying or change it. It feels like a bad choice: you still get hit hard by ice moves, don't resist water moves or fairy moves, and lose your dark resist (important for beating Kingambit). I also think being speedier would be good for you as opposed to max HP, and Smack Down is a lot of work to make useful, so consider Ice Spinner or CC instead (probably Spinner). If you really want Tusk to not be rocks, make Tinkaton your rocker. Then Tusk can have both CC and Spinner for super solid coverage and be a wincon outright.

Tinkaton has a few issues. I like Encore and Gigaton Hammer, but screens aren't a good fit on Tinkaton. She has too many better moves. Draining Kiss is also doing a big fat nothing to 99% of the metagame. You could use Twave and Knock Off instead of those to make her a much better support Pokemon, and change the Tera to Ghost since you're not using a Ghost natively to spin block. Additionally, an offensive Tera like Steel barely makes a difference on a low investment Mon and isn't worth using your Tera on.

Haxorus is the weirdest one. It really isn't good in the current metagame, being outsped and killed by most offensive Dragons and Fairies and getting walled by Dozo (a bulky water type which your team already struggles with). Honestly, you could make it a banded nuke with First Impression, Poison Jab, Outrage and whatever you want for coverage. Tera Poison lets you flip the matchup on Fairy types like Iron Valiant and Tera Dragon gives you more wall breaking power. I still think it's this team's weakest link (besides Lando).

Tera Fire Kingambit does not benefit from sun at all. That's not how sun works. Also, you should ALWAYS have Kowtow on it. Non-negotiable. If you wanna drop a move, drop Iron Head, but I wouldn't recommend Sub in general. Iron Head beats Fairies and Kyurem and Low Kick in that slot instead beats opposing Kingambit and other Steel or Dark types. As for Tera, you could go Fairy defensively and Dark offensively. I like max speed Kingambit more than max HP Kingambit to outspeed Primarina and opposing bulky Kingambits and beat them with Iron Head and Low Kick respectively.

As for what should replace Lando, I think Kyurem is a good pick. Specs Kyurem can beat bulky waters with Freeze Dry, and it has super solid coverage with Draco and Earth Power. Last move is usually Ice Beam for ground types like Gliscor, Lando, and Tusk. You can Tera either Ice or Ground for more wall breaking power (and Electric immunity for some niche interactions) or Fairy defensively.

This whole team kind of lacks cohesion in my eyes, and you have a lot of Mons that "have to stay" to the detriment of the team. I won't police your team though. Play how you want. If you have any feedback or questions let me know, and feel free to reach out on Discord or add me on Showdown to play some games!
