New season, more manager picks! Let's get it rolling by starting off with deciding this season's team managers! Only post in this thread if you would like to signup to manage, any other kind of posts will be deleted and your posting access in Tournament Policy may be revoked. Everyone (past, assistant, and new managers alike) are required to sign up if you wish to manage with no exceptions. Managing teams of up to 3 members are allowed to sign up. I would like to take the Spartans again this year with tko and vivalospride.

All three of us have been involved with official tournaments for a while now with me and tko having managed separate SCL teams in the past. We have individually learned a lot as managers and players since then, and are looking to convert what we learned in our rookie management years to better success this year. While viv has not managed an official before, he has managed multiple unofficial formats in the past including the recent DPPPL which he won managing with tko not too long ago.

We are also very closely involved with most of the lower tier communities, regularly participating in different sub-forum tours across all tiers while me and viv are also Tier Leaders for two of said tiers.

I would like to manage the Technical Machines with hex and Piyu.

I got 2nd last SCL and won SPL. Piyu went 10-0 on our team last SCL, and this year he went positive in every lower tier PL while also managing SPL. Hex has also had a prolific managerial career, managing WCOP finalist US West and leading dozens of subforum tours to playoffs, including back-to-back PU team tour finals.

I'm confident we will have another great social & competitive environment. Looking forward to another SCL. Thank you for your consideration.

I wouldn't mind another shot at the Platoons or any open team this year with Kingler and Quinn!

I personally have experience managing for years now as I have managed in VGC tournaments like NPA and VGC classic, as well as doubles tournaments where my team won DPL last year! I gave SCL a go last year and even though it didn't go as well as we hoped, I did learn a lot and feel that I can lead a team to the trophy. I have been as active as I can be in every team tournament I've joined so this would be no different. Kingler and Quinn also have a ton of experience, with both managing more tournaments on the site than I even knew existed. Kingler has managed SPL in the past and Quinn just managed for WCOP, so we all have experience in major team tournaments as well.

SCL is always a blast so I hope to be a part of it again!

Confirming signup. Quinn is currently captain for the Netherlands team in WCoP and has extensive experience managing multiple side PLs (10+ this year alone!); the Slugmas groupchats are active and the discord with over 200 members is very active both in the general social channel and the specific team channels. Quinn is very involved with almost every tier; he won OUFL LPL, and BLT, which has the exact same tiers as SCL. I have been his co-manager in several of these tournaments, such as TPP, BSS, and LCBC (see below).

I put my endorsements/experience in hide tags because a lot of my recent and past experience might not be common knowledge:
I won the last LCPL as a part of the management team, I was with my team in call from the start and as a drafter helped secure certain bids like Kaboom that were instrumental to winning us the tournament. I was instrumental in convincing him to slot in for tiebreak after a loss in the regular week, giving him confidence he would win on like a Sunday night, and the way we slotted in our tiebreaks (I thought it was a great idea to slot Fille vs Hacker as it's a better matchup for him than Loki) was a huge part of our success. I also went 8-1.

In the last 3 LC team tours, we have (in order) won the whole tournament (last LCPL; the shoutout posts detail a lot of the reasons why), got to finals and to a tiebreak after being down 2-5 in the series (LCBC), and made it to semis via tiebreak (LCPL just now). I was a listed manager for the last 2 and basically a manager for the 1st if you talk to Fille.

Shake's post provides a summary. Levi and I were ranked dead last as managers due to being two LC mains, drafted a team that was ranked top 3 in PRs, and were in contention until our last game of week 9, missing playoffs by a game. Metalgro$$ wrote us a shoutout post despite us not making playoffs, which I think is a testament to how dedicated our team was.

We also drafted Lunar in his first SPL on kaori’s recommendation and he was fantastic; he received great reviews from his players last year.

I made Slam IV playoffs, making it to the finals in the infamous "No Winner" Slam, losing twice to players using unauthorized external assistance. I won the LC Open for that Slam and won LC open IX as well (I also made Slam IX playoffs). made classic playoffs in 2019 and 16 points rn

I've been in every edition of snake draft, as well as Raiders; aside from one SPL in 2018 I was basically drafted for every division 1 team tournament between 2016 and 2020 that I signed up for (I think WCoP is largely included here). Basically all of these are for LC across gens 6-8 but in SPL X I was starting in RU.

Over the last year I have had significant success in lower tiers in SV, making NULT and beating s1noh in R1 and going 4-1 so far in RU in LTWC. I won a SWSH tiebreak game for us in RUWC which won US South that tournament.

I played mostly SS LC due to team considerations in LCPL last year and this year--part of why I wasn't drafted last year is because my 8-1 record was almost in SS. This year, I went 3-1 in SV LC, beating Hacker and Eniigma in tiebreak. I have been in the top 5 on the LCPL/general LC sheet since around 2017.

Confirming :slugma:

Would like to manage this year with Leni and Xiri. No preference on teams but if Platoon is available then we will go for them.

Leni has co-managed previous iterations of WCoP under Europe, reaching the semis last year and myself and Xiri have been involved in every SCL so far, where I have also previously managed the Breakers, reaching the semi finals while Xiri is a previous winner of SCL as a player and has experience in every lower tier as he's won a vast amount of circuit ribbons.

Confirming above. We will happily provide more if needed

I'd like to manage the foxes with Gondra and Xrn.

All three of us come off having just managed SPL and have been closely involved with lower tiers communities for years. We also have a lot of experience with playing in official tournaments and the amount of workload required, while also being very familiar with the kinds of environments people thrive in when it comes to team tournaments. I've managed several unofficial tournaments to good results in the past 2/3 years, including winning DPL and UUPL in 2024/2025 respectively. Xrn, while not having managed many tournaments outside of last SPL, is one of the most all around accomplished players in recent times, especially when it comes to doubles, and often took on key managerial duties in his teams even as a player. Gondra rounds us up having the most experience out of all of us and still being a regular in lower tier tournaments/spaces to this day.

We're ready to take on this new experience and putting forth our best efforts in fostering a positive and competitive environment. Thank you for considering us.

Yeah i also like foxes

I would like to take the Showdown Shoguns with trash. We both hold the illustrious title of GOAT in our respective low tiers and a plethora of managing accolades that are frankly too long to list. Our competitors (lax blunder ima) are proud ou fascists who regularly flaunt their hatred of this tournament (not ima :3). Are we really going to allow them another year managing in spite of this? I suppose YouTube subscribers are more important than drafting ability (fade 10k LMFAO and not allowing supag to load stall until 0-2). Unfortunately, we’ve been discriminatorily blackballed from managing a trophy tour under previous eras of tournament directors. We hope our selection will flagship a new golden era of smogon champions league.
