As we all know, grinding for hours and hours on ladders is one of the favorite activities of the people in this community and it's finally time to have a dedicated project that hopes to create something cool and fun for everyone involved.
Without further ado, let's take a look at this week's challenges!

Specifics: The pokemon compatible with this achievement are: Pikachu, Delibird, Ditto, Luvdisc, Smeargle
Opponents forfeiting before you get a ko with one of the aforementioned pokemon does NOT count for the achievement
You can get this achievement across multiple games
Insectophobia: Ko bug type pokemon 10 times

Defeating pokemon with bug as one of their two types obviously counts
Pokemon that terastalize into bug DO NOT count
Button Masher: Click the move Focus Blast and land it 10 times
Specifics: The move needs to connect against the opposing pokemon. Therefore, hitting against Protect doesn't count, while hitting a Substitute does count.
You can get this achievement across multiple games
Type Affinity: Win 1 match where your opponent has three pokemon sharing the same weakness, and you have two pokemon of that type; win 1 match where you have three pokemon sharing the same weakness and your opponent has two pokemon of that type*
Specifics: We request that all these pokemon hit the field and are showed in the battle.
The types gained via tera DO NOT count
*Example: you win a match where you have Scizor, Sunflora and Scyther, your opponent has Heatran and Charizard; your win a match where your opponents has Dragalge, Braviary and Venusaur and you have Weavile and Cryogonal
Shapeshifter: Use Ditto to copy at least 4 pokemon of the opponent in the same match
Specifics: You need to win the match in order to claim this achievement
Blitzkrieg: Win a match before reaching turn 15
Specifics: The match needs to be fully completed, so early forfeits don't count.
There is also no minimum elo required for this challenge
In Cold Blood: Be the person who kills Chien-Pao the most!

Specifics: Do NOT send replays in this thread but instead share them to 35Q71N via private message on Smogon or on Discord (fran35q71n). The idea is to not reveal who is provisionally on top of the leaderboard for the number of kills of Chien-Pao
General Rules
Here are some general guidelines we have reprised from other LAPs and adapted to the current project:
Here are some general guidelines we have reprised from other LAPs and adapted to the current project:
- All battles must take place on the Spotlight Ladder on Pokemon Showdown.
- Please give proof that you completed the challenge to validate your achievement. Our preferred way to do so is by sending replays in the dedicated thread. This is particularly true for the Fun Challenges, while screenshots are normally better to show you have cleared the Standard Challenges. In any case, hosts will specify how to submit the results in case of very unique challenges.
- You can get several achievements from the same battle/account, unless explicitly stated otherwise. I'll like your post once I've taken it into account.
- Achievements can be submitted in PM to me if you want the account you used to remain inconspicuous; I will be posting them in the thread (giving your Smogon username) myself. Please only do it as little as possible though; it's less fun.
- Past performances will not be counted; any submission needs to be verifiable on the server (by checking at the rank, WL, and such) at the moment they are posted. I.e. if the LAP starts on August 4th, you can't send a screenshot of you topping the ladder on August 1st to claim one of the Standard Challenges.
- You are obviously allowed to update your posts to showcase you have improved your records on the ladder (this is especially important for the Standard Challenges but it could also involve other challenges) as long as you do so before the deadline.
- Naturally, don't try to cheat, for instance by submitting an achievement with an account that's not yours and yours alone. In addition to that, don't mass forfeit games on the ladder just to speed up the process of obtaining the achievements. If caught doing so, you might get exposed and made fun of (but also infracted of course).
- Achievement levels may be subject to change at host's discretion.
