We are so back.

Cycle Fourteen
:sv/blaziken:

There are few things scarier to see in team preview than an unexpected Blaziken. With a top-notch STAB combo, Speed Boost combined with Swords Dance to mash through bulky and offensive teams alike, and high powered STAB moves, this bird of destruction is an offensive force to be reckoned with that can bludgeon through bulky neutral targets and even chipped resists with its highly respectable power. Blaziken is arguably at its scariest as part of an HO chain that takes part in beating down the opposition, and its power is truly titanic when Sun or Z Crystals are put in play. However, this avian warrior is a fickle beast that is often let down by its poor defensive profile and its STAB combos notable inability to hit many bulky Water- and Dragon-types neutrally. What can you do with this combative chicken?

You have until Sunday to submit teams. Have fun!

After SD Blaziken failed many times I went with Banded in Sun.
Mostly standard Zard partners with the change of King instead of Bro, since Diancie was a big problem for the team. Not a perfect answer but it does enough damage to leave it in range of Bolt + slows down psychics.
You can run rocks on Terapagos instead of Tusk to slot Knock Off.
4th move on Blaziken is up to personal opinion, Knock is the most useful overall but Earthquake can catch Pex. Upper Hand is kinda meme but it did kill a CB Shifu and a boosted Gambit on testing :bloblul:.

I made a lot of teams for this. More than I've ever done for any other Pokémon. It was absolutely worth it.

The team plays as a pretty standard hazardstack, with Blaziken to clean up after everything's been worn down.
At +2, Close Combat and Flare Blitz can ruin most of the tier. Gholdengo can force chip on Gliscor and Landorus-Therian, making Blaziken's job easier. Gigavolt Havoc allows Blaziken to easily break past Slowbro, Tapu Fini and Toxapex.
It's a feat and a half to switch in to Kyurem with hazards up, and Gholdengo ensures they stay up.
The combination of Metal Coat and Make It Rain means Gholdengo can reliably be your answer to stall teams.

I'm glad I attempted this, it was probably the best way I could've spent my weekend.

Wow, a round starting mostly on time?!?! Who would have thought.

Team A by papillon heart

One hour late on submission but this is just HO slop, double fires can go kinda nuts and bulk up tusk puts in work pretty often, HSam worked for a lead too but I liked rocks more than spikes to wear down Landos and let Koko go hog wild.

Voting will conclude on Thursday! Good luck!
