I’ve said a few times but the getting shot isn’t bad is a newbie trap, you need to think of the game as a team one rather than individual.

Right now the game is this: 14 town, 5 mafia, town has a gub

If town is shot it’s: 13 town, 5 mafia, town still has a gun

Celever having the gun isn’t actually better than hydro having the gun for celever in reality, it just feels like it is for ego reasons sometimes but celever understands that getting shot hurts town, town shooting town is literally the only way we lose, it’s part of all our duty to not get shot as much as it is to shoot mafia

Now does mafia clever also want to not get shot? Absolutely, but not wanting to get shot isn’t scummy, it’s just self awareness of your wincon as either alignment, and experienced town should absolutely not want to get shot especially early

I think I’ve seen it form newbie town enough in other setups and tbh even non newbie town saying stuff like “oh you are defensive/ you don’t want to be voted you must be mafia”

It’s not the same thing but it’s similar enough and frequent enough that I am willing to believe it crosses over here that people think town would not mind to be shot

And I get your point that it’s perspective-ly weird because the same people pushing that it’s scummy to not want to be shot also probably don’t want to be shot but I’ve also seen this frequently enough too that I know the disconnect happens often, even with like intermediate players

I do think this is slightly different, but yes Ive seen that of course.

The thing is people seem to think being shot in popcorn is different because you dont actually die [immediately]. I could see it as a bit of a perspective slip if mafia sees it as town shouldnt mind getting shot because it is less [immediately] bad for a townie personally to be shot.

But ya IDK. So far Miyami and AirC are the only ones to peddle this I think. AirC saying he doesnt mind being shot and Miyami saying Celever may be scummy for minding.
 
But AirC Im willing to give a pass partly cause of how he played in the ps mafia OC where he allowed someone to control his night action and ended up sac'ing himself to Hider guilty someone. And he even gave a small speech about wanting to win even if he had to die
 
Yeah as cool as it must feel for HyHy for having got a good shot on the first try it is ultimately not an ideal situation to hold the gun because just based off numbers you are more likely to die from a bad shot than survive from a good shot

as to your point on Texas, i have him as my top townread for now simply because he's done the most to push the gamestate forward in my eyes up to this point outside of the heroshot callers

i mean, that wasn't what i said lmao. i certainly likely have seen celever omgus before, but not to the extent that he has in this game against texas

at this point these posts feel like an attempt to chainsaw defend cele from the thread accusations
 
also phoopes has flown under the radar for quite a while, I will say. definitely not my number 1 shot target, but someone to keep an eye on if their posting doesn't improve in passing days
 
Celever and Texas feel TvT. I'm not great at reading Celever but his arguments seem to come from a passionate townie PoV who's just off. If I'm wrong on one of them it's definitely him, Texas is giga town

a fairy - feels townie, im happy to coexist in a world where they continuously scumread me as long as we win the game together

AirC, bluedoom, AP, DBD - feels townie

des - back in PoE, been asking 0 questions. tempted to put in town due to page 1 angleshoot.
pulsar - in PoE. i liked one of their posts but not enough content to put in town category
tommy - PoE cause i suck at reading him

evie, miyami - need to reread

shypebble - do not like his AirC meme push d1
joey, flandrs - scummy cause afk and doin nothing
phoopes - do not like his 180 on the Texas vs Celever TvM -> TvT
skipper - scum
 
I still mostly vibe with Realiti but Im more bullish on Des and Tommy town. And BD is worse than maf this game: hes boring. Dunno how hes in Realitis townheap.

Also Id townlean pulsar but Im also not going to try and defend her all that much right now.
