  • ima very easily dispatched Light in round 1, and won a sun mirror in which his opponent had Dragonite and Kingambit
  • ima is looking to continue his heroic surge from late in cycle 4
  • Alhen has a tendency to play overly safe/boring, and ima generally punishes those kinds of players quite hard
Fusien vs Storm Zone (46-54)
  • Two SVOU elites, Fusien is having a great year
  • Storm Zone is a little inconsistent and not at his peak but looked just fine week 1, easily avenging his round 1 OST defeat to crying 2-0
  • Fusien somewhat lacks diversity in his teambuilding and Storm Zone is an amazing counter-styler that could punish hard
  • Two of the best clickers in the game, favoring Storm Zone due to the teambuilding edge
Separation vs xavgb (35-65)
  • xavgb doesn't enjoy playing SV too much (edit: at least he didn't during last SPL) but that doesn't stop him from demolishing everybody in his path
  • 12-0 first round from xavGB, looking to continue his dominance into round 2
  • Separation is still a little unproven besides going 3-1 in WCOP this year and SCL a couple years ago and is looking to further make his mark
heileone vs Vert (35-65)
  • Vert is the goat and doesn't look to be diminished at all by his time away
  • Heileone is a very aggressive player and has the ability to pull the upset here, as he showed week 1 vs Giannis
  • Still going to give the major edge to Vert here, excited to see what he brings
Gray vs Unstoppable1 (60-40)
  • Gray looked great round 1, suffocated Bloody
  • Unstoppable1 did not face much of a challenge week 1 after he hard cteamed the obvious Trick Room bring from MRH, will be interesting to see him play in a more even matchup
Ewin vs clean (53-47)
  • Both are great players, very evenly matched
  • Clean might have the slight edge as a player, but Ewin's the more exciting and diverse builder
  • Slight edge to Ewin due to the higher degree of unpredictability
Stareal vs 3d (43-57)
  • Stareal played well vs mike
  • 3d having a great year, and thwarted leng loi 2-0
  • 3d on a mission to collect his first trophy
zS vs Let's Rumble Shall We (57-43)
  • zS had a great WCOP run (6-1) and brought some heat in game 1 vs Tace, an AV glimmora that put in insane amounts of work
  • Rumble looked good in round 1, easily dismantling Dasmer 2-0

  • Giannis got jumped week 1 by a hungry heileone. Some bad RNG was featured in game 1, but game 3 he was outplayed
  • Typhlosion48 played well week 1, but his teams were questionable
  • Giannis is the far more experienced player and will bounce back

  • Close matchup with a slight edge to Tace
  • TDNT lost to the same team twice in week 1 and will likely be playing with a chip on his shoulder
  • Both players made some sloppy plays week 1 and will look to clean it up vs each other
MRH1106 vs Originality56 (30-70)
  • Originality56, while not an SV main, has shown himself to be rock solid at this tier when it comes down to it
  • This matchup is probably one of the more winnable matchups MRH1106 could get out of the pool
  • MRH will need to prove he knows how to use something other than trick room before we can start increasing his odds, otherwise he is in for a quick exit

  • hellom is easily a top 5 SVOU player
  • crying has the ability to bring a team with a wacky tech that can 6-0 from preview
  • crying is looking to bounce back after a poor showing week 1 vs Storm Zone

  • Bloody got beat in the builder week 1 and didn't have much chance to showcase his playing skills
  • JJ played well in his game 2 win over Vert
  • JJ is the far more experienced and proven player, having gone positive in SPL multiple times
leng loi vs SoulWind (48-52)
  • SoulWind didn't play to his standard vs clean, there were some uncharacteristically sloppy plays, looking to bounce back
  • leng loi has a tendency to choke some games, but her unique building style gives her a big boost and when she is locked in can beat anybody
