What is the bug?
Soul stealing 7 star strike was blocked by max guard, despite it bypassing protect.
Found in Gen 9 Broken Cup

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Have a situation where a mon uses soul stealing 7 star strike on a max guarded mon

Do other Z-Moves also get blocked by Protect? If so, maybe this is intentional because it's a CFZ-move.

CFZ moves bypass Protect and do not have any reduction to their damage if protected. The interaction between CFZs and Max Guard is undefined behavior since the two have never existed in the same game together, though Max Moves also bypass protect normally with the same reduction as Z-moves and are blocked by Max Guard.

Oh yeah, I'm dumb, this is Max Guard vs Z-moves. It is undefined behavior.

Maybe I can look at it to see if it is an easy fix.
