Looks like Gorochu has come back to life as one of two Mega Raichus, indeed.
And Raichu now joins the club of Charizard and Mewtwo as one of those Pokemon with two Megas. And this time, Raichu gets something over Pikachu again.
ngl probably one of the worst Directs I've ever seen. It was long af and only good for like a 10 minute period starting with the Metroid Prime 4 segment part 40 minutes in. Plus they somehow didn't have the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection that was announced by Capcom externally during the Direct lol.
At least we have something to talk about here, cause there isn't much else to say for a general Nintendo discussion.

Nope ZA's internal ranked mode, they showed off the pvp for ZA a while ago, before they even announced Mega Victreebel.
I guess Mega Dimension is where they're gonna put the inexplicably non-existent Mega Slowking.
I looked away from the direct because of the pokemon stuff and didn't even notice they announced a new fire emblem so i lied its a good direct now lol

I dont want to do the ranked mode but I also really want this mega curse you game freak
The thing that really took me out of it was having another release of Mario Galaxy as the anniversary game, given that the limited nature of the last time that game released for an anniversary was pretty scummy.
I wonder how many of the Kalos starter Megas will be getting new abilities. Delphox's Magicicain obviously won't work, while Bulletproof is still pretty tied to Chesnaught's identity.
what an odd choice after they went out of their way to make things interchangable between all the switch-era games (aside from Let's Go). I guess something about how they handle Pokemon in there is weird.
That is really stupid, why would they even do that.
On the bright side, all sorts of regional formes (and Vivillons) seem to be accounted for (Galarian Slowpoke, Alolan Raichu, Hisuian Avalugg, Hisuian Goodra).
On the other hand they may well be trapped in the city forever, at least until Champions or Gen 10 or whatever.
I think that both the game and the DLC are already finished. According to the Teraleak Legends: Z-A was supposed to be out last year and the DLC was supposed to be out this past summer. I think Game Freak figured to announce it now so that when Pokémon Day roles around they can announce Project Gaia (aka Gen 10)
I cannot even remember the last time I was this excited for something Pokemon-related (all 3 designs are stunning!) only to be hit with such atomic blueballing. This fucking sucks so much ass, if they wanted a multiplayer reward set they could've gone with something harmless like the Diancite

What in the world did I just watch? They’re joking, right? They’re announcing DLC for this game… before the base game is even released. I genuinely want someone to explain this to me because there is no rationale I can think of to defend that. It wasn’t enough that this game takes place in a different region than I thought we’d be getting this generation. Kalos itself I can at least get behind the idea of. But this… they’re basically admitting the base game isn’t going to have anything to do.
The Direct overall was really solid, honestly, but that’s absolutely not because of the Pokémon content. But hey, at least the new spinoff looks mildly interesting and is an ACTUAL FREAKING GAME, thank the Lord

Would be funny if that was a thing honestly. The choice to have galarian slowpoke instead of one of its evolved forms may or may not have been deliberate there.
If anything we'll get a official knowledge of "can Galarian Slowbro actually mega evolve?" which Nat-Dex had to improvise on.

Wow, both those Raichu look really dogshit. But OH. MY. GOD. All the Kalos starter Megas are AMAZING? They did them such justice! Honeslty havign trouble choosing which one looks the best....
