Woah...I don't remember being cloned... [Wifi Tower]

So I finally started playing in the wifi tower again out of boredom.

Little did I know that I was in for a bit of a shock today. My first opponent in Rank 2, room 11 turned out to be me. O_O I was suspicious when I saw the lady sprite walk out, startled when she used my starting statement, and laughed at the irony as she sent out my Weavile (Midna).

Thank goodness I won. It would've been a bit sad for me to lose against an AI version of me.

Anyway, on to the point. Is this a normal occurance, or am I just a silly newb to the ways of the Wifi battle tower? Should I be proud of the fact that I was apparently good enough to be used in the tower at all?

That has happened to me, and I actually lost because the team I was using was gengar weak, and my other lead with it.

Well, it's a bit more understandable in that situation. I happened to have the exact same three that the AI me had; just in a different order.
 
Dam speed ties, how dare that other person run the same speed Gengar as me!

I have had this happen to me a couple of times. The really sad thing was that I lost to myself once. I don't really remember the battle because as soon as I saw that I was fighting myself I was so surprised that my brain kinda shut off and I either made some stupid mistakes or got really unlucky. It is fun though to fight yourself and (hopefully) get a free win due to the fact that you know what is coming.
 
I hope I never come across myself because the last time I used the Wifi Tower, I was an asshole and used a hacked No Guarding Ninjask with OHKO moves to screw around with people.

Posting to say I like your Weavile's nickname. <3 Midna... It's everything Navi wasn't.

OT: I never saw myself in the Tower, really.
