1. In shoddy, if Wobbuffet encores something until that attack runs out of pp, it forces that pokemon to struggle. In Wi-Fi, does that happen, or can the pokemon who's move is encore'd that runs out of pp select another attack?

2. For the AR code to rebattle Heatran, I can't seem to get it to work. Buck(whatever his name is) is there like he should be but when I do the thing inside the mountain like the orriginal time I fought Heatran, I can't rebattle Heatran. Is there something else I have to do?

I'm pretty sure that everything on Shoddy is the same as D/P WiFi.

Eh, sorry, I've never used an AR, so I don't know. D:

My answers in bold.

1. Pretty sure that you have to struggle.
2. Somebody said that the only way for that code to work was to edit your save file with pokesav and put the magma stone back into your key items pocket. I've never tried it myself so I don't know if it is true.

What's the best way to go about efficiently catching (SRing for) and checking the IV's of Zapdos in FireRed? I'd prefer to get a response from someone who has done this (Lexx, where you at?).

Never done it myself but the best way I can think of is using a "synchronizer" not for nature because that doesn't work for FR/LG but for making sure that you are getting the right speed.
You can set your lead pokemon to have 1 point below the speed stat zapdos would have at the level it is captured with a 30-31 speed IV with the desired nature (works better for speed boosting nature) and only capture those that are faster than you.
Other than that use lots of rare candies and wish for the best, master ball is a must too.

That's unfortunate B/C I'm 12 hours into the game, haha. Will that Zapdos stay there until post game? What I think I'll need to do is beat the game, get the master ball, clone that in emerald, then come back for the legendary birds and Mewtwo. SRing for Zapdos with Ultra Balls would probably be a nightmare anyhow.

IIRC the birds remain there the whole game until you catch them. Use a speed guide to beat the game fast, I've heard FR/LG can be beaten in under 10 hours or so.
Besides you need to get the Ruby and Sapphire to trade with R/S/E and that is after the E4.

gyro ball is affected by the attack of the pokemon who uses it, or just for his speed and the enemy speed???? or maybe both???

Gyro Ball's power is determined by the difference between your speed and the opponent's speed. Its damage is then calculated by your Attack stat.

How do you check IV's in FR w/out transfering to D/P

and this guys question

can i synch dittos on firered?

Do natures pass in Fire Red?quote]

Checking IVs: I find the Rare Candy method most effective for me.

Synchronizing Dittos: Not on FireRed.

Passing Natures: I believe Everstone passing works. It's been a really, really, long time since I've done breeding in FR, though, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

In FR/LG badge stat boosts apply so your lead has to have a speed stat that is 11 points lower!(if you don't believe me ask Jibbles)
