1. Introduction

Howzit goin everyone! After being on the site for almost 2 years, I’ve finally decided to post my first ever RMT, and it’s about what I consider my best creation so far and also my favorite:

I’ve always loved Kommo-O as a mon, and I really wanted to use it this generation because, honestly, who doesn’t want to spam Tera Normal Boomburst, right? So during the 2-month break I took after the end of ADPL, I got to work and built this team. Since then, I’ve used it a ton, both in tournaments and on ladder, and it has been nothing short of amazing.

2. Proof of Peak

At first, I planned to do this RMT without any Elo record since I mostly used this team in tour games. Did spam the team from 1000s to 1700s during OLT but other than that never really attempted to hit an Elo peak before until this Wednesday when I was laddering to get some good replays for this RMT. I was feeling really good about all the games so I kept playing and ended up hitting #16 with 1937 Elo on the ladder. Lost a couple of games the next day, but I was satisfied regardless.

3. Building Process / How to Use It

I’ve made a YouTube video that goes in-depth about the building process of this team, how to play it, and how to navigate around bad matchups. The video has timestamps for everything so you can skip to whatever part you want to watch, and it also features me going over some replays showcasing what this team is capable of towards the end.

4. Replays

Here are some more replays:

5. Conclusion

Thanks for watching the video if you did. This is the first time I’ve uploaded a video explaining a team like this, so drop a like if you thought it was good. Even if you didn’t watch the video, thanks for visiting and reading this RMT. Feel free to comment any questions either here or in the video’s comment section, or just share your experience if you decided to use the team.

Have a great day!

Fire team! I will say MIR is an infinitely better move on dengo than psyshock imo, psyshock essentially is only needed for clodsire who is nigh nonexistent right now, whereas without make it rain you're somehow walled by tera fairy garganacl, who is lowk a threat to this 6 as it stands. Otherwise I like this a lot, I'm a huge believer of kommo HO right now (both webs and screens), immensely underrated mon.

Garganacl is an annoying mon for obvious reasons, but the team has a Covert Cloak Hatterene that's more than capable of handling it. As long as you don’t throw away Hatt unnecessarily or let Garg get too many Curse boosts, it shouldn’t be an issue. Encore from Ninetales also helps in keeping it in check. Tera Water is the more problematic variant, as the team lacks a super-effective move to hit Water-types (Ninetales is fake), whereas Tera Fairy leaves it weak to Kingambit.

Gholdengo’s role is to break stall, and Psyshock is essential for doing so against Clodsire, which will be on those teams. It’s also much safer to hit a Blissey (who may or may not Tera Dark) with Psyshock rather than relying on Focus Blast from the get-go. In my opinion, regardless of how common it is, losing a matchup on preview is far worse than facing a set that, while annoying, the team is equipped to handle.

That said, if you’re not particularly worried about the stall matchup, you can run whatever coverage you prefer in the Psyshock slot. Funnily enough, having Make It Rain or Thunderbolt actually helps against a rare Tera Fairy or Water Skeledirge matchup, latter of which probably owns this team. I forgot to mention that in the video, LOL. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Glad to see another Kommo-O believer.
