btw ive been doing annoyingly in depth analysis of uu games every week if any of you in the wider community are interested ^_^ . feel free 2 sub if u want bc this is the only time im going to post about it outside of the uu discussion thread/uu discord :heart:
 
the two strongest teams so far face each other. despite the score i think the gible's wins are a larger diff (and also the marcop predict messes with things).

Uncharted Terrors (6) vs (4) Studio Gible

SV OU: heileone vs Finchinator - kinda unsure but I think it goes this way
SV OU: oldspicemike vs TJ - still rated highly in SV
SV OU: TDNT vs Star - 4-0 has looked better
SV Ubers: Scottie vs fade - scottie has not looked at his best, while fade is very good
SV DOU: zee vs bagel - the team selection and play has been hitting
SV UU: pdt vs Mimilucha - i think pdt is extremely threatening and is heavily favored here
SV RU: Metallica126 vs RichardMillePlain - i think richard has a decent edge here. i'm more wondering here about what the terrors plan to do with their ru slot bc this is metallica's start. is hacker back in if the gaming is not good? regardless, i think had hacker not had his run leading up to SCL metallica would be starting, and is solid, but richard who i have seen 0 games from in SCL made slam semis
SV NU: Shengineer vs Tuthur - sheng looking way stronger
SV PU: Drud vs Gilbert arenas - both have great records, but marcop predicted against me in classic
SV LC: Lokifan vs Laroxyl - this was my #1 vs #2 matchup in my predictions and I think despite laro's bad start this is a very good matchup. i'll go with my gut and say loki here, his team choices and play have still been top tier despite a loss last week

I am going to eat the separation pill after the alcremie thing, is it unwise? yes, am I going to do it anyway? of course. Not to undermine baddy of course, bro has been doing good for now with a win vs bhkg and gxe. But the human body lives of hype moments and all or nothing gambles

SV OU: 3d vs Attribute
Both have a 2-2 record, but attribute pool of opponents have been tougher while 3d is still trying to emotionally recover from getting betrayed by his friends and sent to the OU mines instead of RU / NU pool

I have not seen sire clod, but tbh I dont have faith for the machines, and Im sure Ewin is salivating for another stall into rage bait victim. After all, the people with clodsire pfp are known for being big crashouts, why? idk, but its a trend i have been seeing

in defense of kdca's 2-2, pulling ABR into Attribute as the 3k feels like coming back from serving the army and discovering your house was destroyed by weather. But im still investing

Weird to see Soulwind winless, but then again, this year HAS been famous for putting south park, black mirror, bondocks and rockstar writers out of their jobs. So im bolding the team with higher morale

I knew ABR's record would be life or death for the breakers, and turns out he is life for the team. With a style of "so old that its new" to sv, it is rather unpredictable, so Im bolding him.

SV OU: Foolycl vs GXE

Im a simple man, I see a GXE build, and I say "yup, its peak"

Finch's first ever sv ou run this year has been decent, a bit unlucky here and there but he is clearly helping the team. with that being said, in a one on one, always bet for the 3k guy on the terrors

SV OU: oldspicemike vs TJ

Just a better record thing, mike's only lost has been bringing no ghost resist in sv ou and in my personal opinion bringing no ghost resists in sv ou means you are looking for trouble. He of course, is not the only one guilty of this, please people, this might be the first time in history where I see band dragapult farming high level teams. this shit is so ass :wilted flower: but outside that he has been consistent. But Tj has been going win-loss-win-loss, so maybe he will win this week.

SV OU: TDNT vs Star

4-0 vs 2-2, if it is any consolotation, since the gibles are essentially, US NE once they get to playoffs they will get steamrolled. Just gotta weather the storm at this point

I really dont know a lot of fakenagol outside of him being the soulwind slayer. So ill be bolding the devil I know #ou-contributors gang

Ngl this is probably the most 50/50 game of the week, I decided to bold JJ out of a coinflip, but I wouldnt be suprised if pkel wins, with that being said. My predicts have been becoming more and more neutral and I need to get some wins.

SV OU: Niko vs bhkg
Both have the same record, but I think bhkg has been a bit more consistent.

I think this is good enough idk
 
Gonna follow up on 1LDK’s OU predicts with some lower tier predicts, excluding Terrors vs Gible because I think Kingler summed up that series well in his post, also excluding DOU because I’m not as comfortable talking about that tier

SV Ubers: Frito vs Fc (45/55)

It’s just been difficult for me to trust in Frito considering she brought Trick Room week 1, and since then hasn’t been performing as well as her World Cup run would’ve suggested. Fc, on the other hand, is 3-1, and his last week showing was cool thanks to a unique set in Red Card NDM.

SV UU: SoggyDoggySage vs etern (45/55)

I feel like this is an on paper win for etern, but I would love to see Sage pull off the upset here. I’d like to see how her draft experience transfers to UU.

SV RU: hjkhj vs vk (57.5/42.5)

Coming off of a loss last week versus none other than Santu, I’m favoring highjumpkickhighjump in this matchup. vk has potential here but his two games so far just haven’t been convincing me.

SV NU: Fogbound Lake vs Danny (50.5/49.5)

This is personal preference bold more than anything as Danny is undefeated so far and he is the mainer, but I do expect Fog’s momentum from UU to carry over, and I think Shoguns’ NU wins when you least expect it. I mean look at Plague vs Roro lol.

SV PU: mind gaming vs baconeatinassassin (57.5/42.5)

It would be insane to bold against mind gaming at this point, even if he’s 2-2 it’s still mind (should be 3-1). The assassin is not a bad player by any means, but they’re definitely the underdog going into this matchup.

SV LC: Eniigma vs Starsama (42.5/57.5)

Last week, Starsama won a well-played game, while Eniigma had… a time-out win. Starsama has just been the better LC player as of late both outside of this tour and inside of this tour: hard to predict against 4-0. Eniigma is no slouch though.

SV Ubers: Icemaster vs TrueNora (54/46)

These are both very great Ubers players, frankly, I’m surprised they’re both 2-2. Bolding Icemaster because I’ve been a bigger fan of his overall play, especially last week.

SV UU: Sacri’ vs zS (50.5/49.5)

Ok I’m gonna need yall to hear me out on this one. Sacri’ may be 0-4 currently, HOWEVER, this guy manages to never go below like 4-5 in any SPL/Snake, so I think by the end of this tour, he’ll follow that pattern and end up with 4 to 5 wins miraculously. Objectively, zS is probably the way to go, but I believe in the 0-4 -> 5-4 comeback.

SV RU: Dj Breloominati♬ vs Colin (48/52)

I haven’t really been impressed with either of these two. Sure, Colin may have two wins but those were more matchup wins than they were “better player” wins. DJ’s performing ok so far, but they don’t have as large of a sample size. Going with Colin here for his RU experience during Grand Slam.

SV NU: frankjosh vs Kushalos (53/47)

He beat roro, what more do I need to say.

SV PU: LpZ vs Michaelderbeste2 (53/47)

Originally, I had predicted Heute, but after thinking it over for a bit, I think I favor LpZ more. He’s just been in better form this season, and I want to believe in the Machines in hopes that they can get a win this week.

SV LC: tazz vs Envy (50.5/49.5)

This definitely feels like one of the most even matchups of this week. I don't have much to say here besides my gut bold is tazz as they’re the more seasoned player here.

Mt. Silver Foxes (0) vs (0) Circuit Breakers

SV Ubers: emoxu9 vs entrocefalo (52.5/47.5)

While emoxu9’s performance may be on the downhill as of late, I think this could be their week to bounce back. It’s just a matter of whether they’ll perform like they did in World Cup, or perform like they did in seemingly every other Ubers tour this year. entrocefalo seemingly is having the opposite effect; going negative in UWL and UPL but going even in WCoP and positive so far in SCL. Favoring emoxu in hopes that they can channel their UPL performance into SCL.

SV UU: Punny vs crying (57.5/42.5)

I’m excited to get to see what these two will cook up after the new shifts. Punny played really solidly into Mimilucha’s HO last week, while crying lost to Fogbound Lake. This is definitely one of the highlight matches of the week.

SV RU: TheFranklin vs Santu (45/55)

Santu is for sure the more accomplished player here, but I can see Franklin winning here through sheer RU metagame/builder knowledge combined with great play. Not to mention that Santu’s only loss so far was almost purely based on matchup; if he doesn’t screw himself in the builder, the sky’s the limit.

SV NU: Elias PSY vs watashi (40/60)

watashi’s play has been a lot better overall than Elias, and I’ve been liking his teams as well. I can definitely imagine Elias cooking up some post-shifts heat and beating watashi that way, but I don’t have much reason not to trust in tash atm.

SV PU: Isza vs MZ (52/48)

Isza played well vs marcop last week, and while MZ does main this tier, Isza’s solid fundamentals won’t make this easy. MZ’s gotta pay for that Overheat miss somehow.

SV LC: Onraider vs Wail Wailord (50.5/49.5)

I don’t doubt that Wail can win this; he did win against Envy a few weeks ago, but aside from that his games have been pretty underwhelming, not to mention the timeout last week. If there’s any time for the Whale to Float back, it’s now. Don’t know much about Onraider but from my limited research, he has went 5-2 in LCBC for *checks notes* SUGMA SLUGMAS! #GOSLUGS

SV Ubers: Kate vs Mashing (52/48)

Mashing may be 2-0, however those wins were against an uncharacteristically out-of-form emoxu9, and Scottie who is having a rough time in Ubers. Like Scottie, Kate is also 1-3, however I believe that this is her chance to bounce back into form as she’s been doing great in other recent tournaments.

SV UU: JustFranco vs Sabella (55/45)

Sabella is fighting the top 3 UUers in this pool back-to-back-to-back. Both these players came off of a win last week, Franco HO’d while Sabella washed (heh) his opposition. I predict Franco to win this, but who knows, Sabella could pull off another upset.

SV RU: Kristyl vs robjr (49.5/50.5)

(Fun fact: Both these players are 2-2 and share losses against hjkhj & TheFranklin! They also share a win vs Hacker). Bolding robjr here as the “historically better player”. Very much a tossup though as Kristyl stocks have been on a high with her Classic quarter-finals placement, as well as her being on a win streak lately in SCL.

SV NU: ACR1 vs Esteb4n (40/60)

Not sure how much experience ACR1 has with NU, he’s a solid player but the tier will take some getting used to. Esteb4n, on the other hand, has been doing quite well so far and I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t continue that going into this week.

SV PU: Jytcampbell vs kyuss (52/48)

Tossup but I’m giving this one to Jyt. kyuss is a solid player, but Campbell has the Excal support that has led to so many great SCL PU runs.

SV LC: jake vs Eternal Spirit (47.5/52.5)

Gama picked up a nice win vs Lokifan last week so I’m picking them to win here. Jake has a solid chance of winning if he remembers to bring a Mienfoo.
