SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

Sad we can't get a Mega variant. However, even before that I want a Mega Slowking. Also on Eelektross and Victreebel, them being mixed attackers is not exactly new. Mega Mence operated as a mixed attacker. Mega Gardevoir got a boost to its attack. This isn't exactly new.
Its not new but its crazy when the bad slow frail mixed attackers get Megas and barely fix the frail and slow parts

For Eelektross they probably at least want to keep the lack of bulk as a balancing factor since they likely worry about giving a Pokemon with no weaknesses good bulk too. As for the lack of speed? Idk Game Freak hates lampreys?

I get mad at things like Electross and Victerebell: why did they maintain the mixed attacker stats? It just further hurts the pokemon viability here. They actually have problems like low bulk and speed, and the Megas stat wise don't even fix it. Its like they were given to a designer who didn't know what to do with them and so increased what they were already good it. Of course they actually min max shitmons like Falinks but others have to deal with useless 10 or 20 points into attack when its primarily a special attacker. It just enrages me and defeats the whole point of buffing a bad pokemon with 100 points.

Game Freak should have learned by now that the mixed slow frail spread does not work.

EDIT--actually nvm lmao, they aren't really that frail and Eelektross even gets some Speed. I guess they learned...?

Looking through the dex descriptions.

Mega Scolipede:
Its deadly venom gives off a faint glow. The venom\naffects Scolipede’s mind, honing its viciousness.
Mega Starmie (I think)
Its movements have become more humanlike.\nWhether it’s simply trying to communicate or\nwants to supplant humanity is unclear.
Mega Chandelure:
One of its eyes is a window linking our world with\nthe afterlife. This Pokémon draws in hatred and\nconverts it into power.
(the eye thing is intentional.)

Mega Zygarde Pokedex entry:

"In response to people’s emotions during an unprecedented crisis, Zygarde Mega Evolves and calms the situation with its unmatched power."

So interestingly, Mega Zygarde lore-wise is similar to Mega Rayquaza, in that its Mega Evolution draws power from people's emotions, the "wishes of the many" if you will. While Zygarde is more explicitly a guardian of the natural order of the world, this is also an interesting spin on Zygarde.

Also there is dialogue saying Sycamore and Trevor are in another region on a research trip

I’m VERY curious what Agility is going to do in this game.

Every other speed boost (other than Geomancy) getting cut, speed influencing cool-downs and Agility being listed AFTER the brand new mystery move, really has me intrigued.

Do we have move descriptions yet??

I think it might also be humans misunderstanding the intentions of these Pokémon. Rayquaza is the guardian of the skies, zygarde is the guardian of the land. They would probably mega evolve to defend the planet over defending the humans, but who knows.

Especially since I think that the internal list of moves that has them numbered specifically for this game strangely had Agility numbered last or otherwise very far at the end of the LZ-A specific list. This suggests that Agility was originally left out for this game and then it was added back in late in development.

EDIT: I found the list I mentioned, it’s the one Kaphotics released a few days ago:

And indeed, Agility is listed even after the new Nihil Light for LZ-A’s own list of moves. I’m convinced Agility was cut for a long while during development.

Extremely disappointed that even Xerneas & Yveltal are reusing their entries. Both are from Y Version.

These guys have had a grand total of 2 entries their entire lives! ORAS (understandably) just reused XY. Then there wasn't a Nat Dex so their appearences in Gen 7 & 8 have nothing beyond Peony's quips.

Seems like everyone is reusing their entries actually, even the Megas. Mega Charizard's are from Let's Go, for example.
