Rules​
  • Follow all rules listed here.​
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for us to make decisions for activity calls when we can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to us or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • Substitutions may be made after a week as started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Post replays. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later. They're also required.​

As a category? Pasta; it is so versitile and you can do so many delicious things with it. If you mean one specific thing, there is a taco pop up that's doing a chorizo / bean / potato / okra breakfast taco that is insane and I cannot get enough of.

It strikes the right balance of accessibility (if you play doubles) and being fucking insane. I also suspect it's getting picked a ton cause most teams drafted a PiC main since not drafting one is kind of an auto loss throwing a random singles player in there.

12-12 last week maybe I should just flip a coin. Homefield winrate last week was 20-12 (16-8 compared to 20-4 for my predicts), I think this is probably lower than what people expect.

pannu very good at gg recently, can seemingly be hard prepped for based on aggressive recycling but with good support and higher stakes I expect (demand) pannu bring some new stuff.
BH: QT vs Rei
Rei won last week against a "QT build" but it was really a QT build that got completely butchered by TTTech who then proceeded to throw the only way he had a chance in. Wasn't very fond of Rei's build either no way we are using rough improofed AV Kyogre nearing 2026.
STAB: Tempo di anguria vs Clem
It appears both players brought dishonest stuff last week and lost. Clem brought crazy stuff but they seem like they are on the verge of overcooking so I'm going to bold the boring side.
PiC: tkhanh vs ValiantValerie
Not going to bold the HiZo side picking PiC and then actively dodging.
Inheritance: Mindnight vs Betticus IV
pannu got giga bailed last week by RNG, also bringing Skarmory still over Corviknight is inexplicable. I think Betticus must be an expert at Inheritance after watching pannu play in OMPL 2 years back. If Mindnight stays independent and doesn't get influenced by pannu I think he could be favoured though.

Something something Atha plays this tier though RoFnA obviously good player.
ORAS PH: teamo vs jasprose
Another confusing pick? teamo brought dubious stuff last week apparently but if he brings a good build he has good recent tour experience which the other side does not.
SP: GlalieGoesBoom vs Electra102
I have never seen either player play SP, but Glalie seems like he's giga tryharding this tour (iykyk) and I think hes better in game as well.

I think MnM was a good pick from Heart Takers by forcing Tech into probably his weakest starting tier, but despite the atrocious performance last week by him I think he is still favoured, since he has some fairly good supporting players.
PiC: yuki vs zee
I don't entirely know PiC matchups but it feels like yuki had a very rough game last week. zee's game also interesting with opponent hitting the wrong mon and maybe that game could've gone close.
PiC: Cao Jie vs DripLegend
I don't think I've seen either player play PiC much but I've seen Cao Jie PiC come up often and likely has much more knowledge which is useful.
STAB: SammyCe123 vs One Last Kiss
Sammy is Sammy, just account for broken move Substitute.
ORAS PH: NToTheN vs sussyamongusdrip
N had a good matchup when opponent brings no Mold Ray check? though the plays were shaky, but seems more in form than sussy.
Forme: kDCA vs Greybaum
Greybaum is great player and this tier isn't particularly hard to learn, but homefield advantage.
Camo: Siamato vs ghostlike
Confusing pick into one of the few camo mains in the tour, ghostlike got haxxed last week but seemed like it could've been avoided and either way I can't imagine that being good for momentum.
Alphabet: Ivar57 vs Baddy
I don't know if Ivar has a lot of motivation especially into non preferred tiers considering his last week's prep.

Rudi brought dishonest stuff and lost, but he is still better player here with fair advantage.

Felt like crow crumbs had an amazing game and damflame tried to cheese.
AAA: Kaif vs feen
Confusing pick, player skill wise really not much difference but I'm pretty sure Kaif is notably more independent here with Nightshades not having that much support.
MnM: db vs seraphz
Also a confusing pick? db and Clas seem like a respectable mnm core here and though Nightshades has support from likes of damflame and tbp I don't think they are favoured here.
SP: vnmmv vs Tbp24
vnmmv seems like the only Shared Power main in this tour or something.
Inheritance: Don Vascus vs GhastlyPixie
Don is big main and is actively abusing broken stuff. We barely even got to see any of his team but it looked novel.
Forte: Concept vs duckycrater
duckycrater's last game was pretty close but this tier feels very abstract that I think it could be fairly predictable what the nonmain side would attempt.
Camo: Clas vs jb291
I think this is very close, Clas was one off from making the playoffs of the Camo tour. I think I will give it to jb for being more warmed up and having minimal stuff to base off of for scouting and such.

STAB: Tempo di anguria vs Clem - uhh i think the left one won last week? i also remember that name being in a discord i was in. but also im a clem fan
PiC: tkhanh vs ValiantValerie - tkhanh kicked off the tour by beating chromate. while i hear the matchup was rough, im a strong believer that prep is also half of the game of pokemon. that being said im bolding val here bc of queer solidarity
Inheritance: Mindnight vs Betticus IV - mindnight is a fire clicker. betticus is a fire player too. i flipped a coin
Camo: Atha vs RoFnA - i think atha actually plays this..? both are good players though

Alphabet: Plague vs PociekMociek - idk what alphabet means in pokemon but pociek has more of them
Camo: Mossy Sandwich vs avarice - i think mossy mains this tier
Cross: FlamPoke vs anaconja - flampoke is my sib from another crib (we've spoken like thrice), but anaconja does have a tl buff

ORAS PH: NToTheN (60) vs sussyamongusdrip (40)
N is a consistent builder and a pretty decent pilot while Sussy has decent ideas for teams but sometimes the execution doesn't end up going to plan, as seen last week. N should have an edge but Sussy could throw N off if the prep is correct.

ORAS PH: teamo (48-50) vs jasprose (50-52)
Ok so this feels like a coinflip. Jasprose has Electra to help double check teams while teamo has QT and Pannu. I give the Shaymins an edge from the W1 ORAS PH builds. Piloting wise I have absolutely no idea who is better and I look forward to the game. Teamo should have two games of experience in HPL2? Not entirely sure, but close game.
