NOC WikiMafia 2 Game Thread [Day 5]

yeah. sorry i had to step away, and then i had to review the thread to remind myself of some specifics and i reread the wording like 3 times to make sure im not giving anything to the mafia i dont intend to give to town. holy shit ive never been so stressed about making a post anyway, i kept shut on it up until now bc i didnt wanna get NK'd basically. but we're in the endgame now and folks are talking loud so hopefully mafia sees someone else worth killing but also im gonna try to be clever about where my role goes tmrw to keep it within town but not predictable if i do bite it tonight
before the conclusion of d3, i basically had a mayorizer on myself. technically i was able to set my vote power to 2, which i assume is some protection tech so hyhy and i don't cause a mess? flavor some nonsense about alting on wikipedia (which they call sockpuppeting) to increase your own side's visible interest/support but it takes time to set up sockpuppets so unless i idle i don't get to use two but even then at the start i could only use it on myself and it sets vote power to 2 anyway? and then my sockpuppets are uncovered and get deleted at the end of the cycle so it only lasts one voting session. but like, long story short, i could basically just keep giving myself a +1 vote with two locked things i didnt know what do at start of game.
my first unlock happened when d3 ended where i meaningfully impacted the result of a vote (sorry liquidrelief but also ig ty hyhy for inavertedly covering for me? i thought id have to claim there then bite it) and i can now give other people that +1 vote which ties into unlock 3 which requires the person i give the extra vote to to impact the vote. i asusme unlock 3 is going to be some kinda "wow you have so many saved up sockpuppets here's something wicked cool you can do" like a gladiatorizor or maybe a "nobody can vote for so-and-so this cycle" but i simply am not in a position where i feel comfortable saving sockpuppets. it shouldn't be complicated to figure out where the vote increase is right now but it isnt on me because i want unlock 3 if possible.
but like, surely unlock 3 has something to do w/ sockpuppet storing bc like why would the mechanic of storing sockpuppets (in the sense that i can i guess idle and then be able to give out two +2s in theory) be there otherwise? surely "oh you could set two people's votes to +2" isnt reason enough to make it all that it is right given that it took an unlock to even get that right? surely whatever this third unlock when it happens will involve some amount of sockpuppets not just me burning them as i get em, but gazing into the mind of celever is an endeavor i wish on no other (/j cel ily)
 
i can set my vote power to 2 for a cycle, each cycle. i could idle and then in theory set two people's vote power to 2 the next cycle.
when i changed the result of the liquidrelief vote, i could set other people's vote power to 2.
if that person uses my gift to change the result of a vote, something else unlocks, which presumably ties into the otherwise confusing multi-person thing after an idle
 
Is it essentially, your role lets you create sockpuppet accounts that increase your vote by 1, until D3 when you impacted the vote on Liquid, and now you have the ability to sockpuppet other people. And you haven't unlocked the third.

i get one sockpuppet every night. i can use a sockpuppet to set my vote count to 2 for the next cycle. in theory i can have multiple sockpuppets.
those are the only nitpicks i feel necessary to make i think

The second really fun thing about my role is that I cannot choose my targets, I need to choose a number and only Celever knows what number = what target. When someone dies, Celever gives me the message [SOMEONE] died. They were the number [INSERT NUMBER HERE]. You can use [INSERT ACTIVE HERE] (or you can't use any of their abilities).

(funny thing is so far I picked up like 4 fucking watcher abilities)

N1 : Used thechickening active 1 on Phoopes (number 1). Learned that he got visited by realiti and Pebble
N2 : Targeted Hydro with Evie's active 1. Did that so I could prove my role at some point if needed (Hydro litteraly recieved the message "Evie visited you tonight" while Evie was dead I thought that was so funny lmao)
N3 : Targeted Genisu with liquidrelief active 1 (which was thechickening active 1). No one visited him
N4 : Targeted someone (idk who yet) with genisu active 1 (which is basically thechickening active 1 again). No one visited him

If you're confused by my role, dw me too. I haven't spilled everything because obviously I don't want mafia to have all the info of the actives I have in stock and shit, but I also got another passive that shouldn't affect town at all and should only affect maf badly

so what decides if you can copy it or not? as in can we clear you if I die.

mayor claim is kinda like NAI (slightly town ig), but we should def try to unlock your 3rd unlock if you are town.

i have only ever had the resources to assign 1 sockpuppet per game bc d1 ended with dbd breathing down my neck without me knowing what d2 would be like, and then the game rapidly picked up from there so i havent really had a cycle where ive been motivated to save up yknow?
