Fur Coat is broken and should stay down.

Fluffy is objectively worse, only applying to contact moves, and giving the mon an extra weakness. The counterplay is literally written into the move, so this decision confounds me to no end!

I just wanna run a meme Flareon man. Can there at least be a healthy discussion about it?

Well shoot, I'm blind. Or more accurately, I was looking at the gen 7 rules. When exactly did Fluffy get lifted?

This gen; previous generations of AAA had 2 Ability Clause, limiting you to two of the same ability per team, while this gen we tried out Single Ability Clause and freed a few previously-banned ability likes Fur Coat, Ice Scales, Stakeout, and Fluffy to see if they’d be balanced by the change.

Turns out Stakeout was really fucking broken, and FurScales got banned in a very close suspect vote, but Fluffy has remained free.
