Keldeo's debut is closer to ICE BEAM's debut that to the present day. It took 15 years for it to learn it, and Keldeo first appeared when the franchise was 14 and a half years old.

(We are about to be at the point where the western release of BW is halfway between the debut of the franchise and the present day, 2011 was 15 years ago, and we are old)

Still annoyed at Feraligatr losing Ice Punch, but Icicle Spear is better than Ice Fang I guess.
 
Curious what evolution stages learn these moves. Selfishly for my own metagame, but also good to know for LC and NFE players, potentially even ZU/PU depending on the line. A couple of these would be large shakeups, especially the Knock Off distributions and Mortal Spin for the Roserade line.

Whirlipede is the only NFE Pokemon to get Mortal Spin
Starly, (and Staravia), Clobbopus, Mankey (and Primeape), Yamask-Galar, and Maschiff all got Knock Off
