NOC Tracker Jailer Follower - Game Thread - Day 5!

you were townleaning peum on day 1. what happened?
##VOTE: Pulsar

I was townleaning Peum for the most part cause I head-cannoned that they were some kind of PR. In their first game they were a lot more aggressive with their ideas and votes and putting pressure on folks and they were town. I thought maybe they were trying to lay low more this game when they said we shouldn't discuss setup things because people might out themselves. And I liked them clarifying without being asked to so it felt towny to me. Now I'm just kind of running out of folks I think it can be and everyone else feels better, and Miyami at least has the merit of voting des first which is why they're null for me and Peum is below.

now that we know Peum probably can't be a town pr regardless of if Phoopes is telling the truth, how does that change your opinion of them?

I don't necessarily agree with this. Just because someone posts more doesn't mean they're more pro-town/more beneficial for mafia to kill. There's probably a reason for why they went with genisu over me. Now we just have to find it
good take, and its not like you werent both also sussed

quoting this one so I can go back to my place easily but people are talking Celever mafia and Celever is tunneling DBD mafia

I have such a hard time believing this is anything but TvT. These two are going at each other's throats so hard. Too hard for it to be mafia IMO. I understand you want to look like you have your reads/convictions if you're mafia but this would be way overdoing it.
interesting take, idk if i agree that town defends themselves and attacks more intensely than scum but its interesting at least

Again, my logic for voting pulsar day one was "I'd rather vote out an inactive." It seemed to me like the main knock against des was her play in other games, not because of anything she did or said on day one. I know someone always has to be voted out day one but it sucked to me that many people were like "we have to vote her out because she's a bad player" or whatever. If someone gets voted out first every time they have no chance to improve, they're not going to have fun, and it's just kind of mean. So yeah I'd rather vote out someone who literally posted 0 times.
i think this is perhaps wrong reasoning (at least for voting off me) becuase we have subs, but i agree with the not-voting-des reasoning very heavily (i mean i had like 2 or 3 gamesin a row where i got voted off d1 it sucked so bad)

Option 1 - the scumteam is exactly cel/phoopes, and didn't have enough manpower to move the vote. I think both of them were active near EOD and thus they both could have flipped onto DBD to save des since neither of them were pro-des policy anyways

Option 2 - the scumteam were in the inactive pool. Peum, Pulsar, Pebble I think were not voting des and also not around at eod? Thus des couldn't be protected because the necessary people to do so just weren't around. I guess this could mean only one of them is in this pool and the other is like cel/phoopes if tying the EOD vote causes no elimination to happen.

Option 3 - the scumteam just didn't care to save des for des reasons, and/or just didn't think the wagon would actually go through. Des getting voted on a plurality was wild and it's possible they didn't think it would actually get her voted off and just kind of stuck to whatever their guns were. This would add Neon and Jalmont to the possible pool.

I think DBD is in the clear for the same reasons I know I am, but if you're not me I guess that's an option 4 no matter how stupid it would be

This isn't really a great pool, but I think option 2 and/or 3 is currently the most likely. Jalmont sticks to his no vote guns pretty much every d1 from what I know of him and who knows why Neon did what he did. This leaves me with

TOWNLEAN
Me
DBD
Phoopes
Celever (he's being unusually stubborn this game and that's a high bar, almost to the point of being harmful for town, but I don't see him as a viable vote with the information we have)
Neon (still null to me. The chart stuff is neat but feels easy to fake as mafia since it requires zero giving of your own theory or opinion to do so, it's just repeating facts)
Jalmont
Pulsar
Pebble
Peum
SCUMLEAN

I could be persuaded to vote any of the Ps as of now, except for Phoopes.

I was wondering, cause doesn't MYLO and LYLO have the term in it?
I've been using MELO and ELO personally. Also this wasn't just directed at you but kind of the whole thread so I'm sorry if my tone in that post came off as overly hostile towards you specifically

Oh no you're all good lmao, I like to learn abt all the terms and stuff, and I get your point on why it's problematic. I'll swap to the ELOs and Elim when talking abt daily vote things from now on o7

I was active around EOD when des was lynched

okay yeah i really hate jalmont and in particular how everyone else's treated him during the game. for some reason he basically only got scumread by celever and that scumpush was like very soft w him saying he didnt want to push him d1 bc he hasnt played in a bit, and then he paired dbd and jal, but obviously the dbd stuff was the main focus so jalmont fell into the background. like peum also briefly mentioned not liking his posting and then went and did nothing about it ever. this like super reads as distancing for both (obviously only one can be true, but you get the idea). i just really hate his posting and the relative lack of people pushing him. like i think everyone else in the playerlist (except maybe shyp but shes been kinda inactive without stuff to talk about) has gotten pushed far more.
On phone so harder to pull up but I’ve agreed with a lot of his takes so far and have general positive feelings toward his posting. In particular I did agree with him defending DBD from bussing des on day one because I’m a staunch believer that DBD would not do that if he was on scumteam with des
this post also sus but im probably overreading this

like genuinely i searched jalmont's name and like i maybe missed a couple posts where he was just called jal or something but like he barely has had any pressure this game and the little pressure that has been put on him like very quickly dissipated in comparison to a lot of the other pressure.
