the fact that dbd and miyami werent really involved in eod is frustrating as it makes looking at eod voting challenging.

i dunno it feels like one of phoopes or celever is probably mafia? for me i contrast those two with pulsar. if pulsar is scum, then yeah cel plus phoopes town makes a lot of sense.

SP is probably not mafia given d1 - unless the team is exactly pulsar/des/SP then they could've saved des by voting pulsar there and it would have been relatively reasonable/easy to do so. Neon could have also saved des d1 but didn't so I guess you can throw them into that bucket too. interesting that the off wagon voters all could have changed at deadline but didn't. usually i feel like mafia throw their vote away on someone random if they can't be on at deadline and that's how offwagons are formed but this time it's different.

cant really clear celever because genisu's dbd vote came after celever. scum!celever maybe keeps their vote on DBD if they see that genisu vote.

if phoopes is town then it's just peum and pulsar? which would make sense that the mafia team just gets sunk by being afk and not voting. hm

This is the world I think we live in, as I know my role PM says Town and I am fairly sure Miyami doesn't push for an instant policy vote on her scummate. If you want to show that this world is true, as Celever "wishes" to by voting me, you only end up in a 2v7 where we lose our only remaining PR tonight. The key thing here is that Celever framing his push on me in terms of des's bussing first makes it more easy for him to have plausible deniability: when I flip town, Celever just retreats behind "we needed to resolve the question".

World 2: Des was hard-bussed by Miyami

Even in this scenario, voting me doesn't resolve anything; in fact, it only makes it worse because the Mafia can direct their attention off of Miyami onto off-voters. While Celever would certainly put his neck on the chopping block, he still has the same excuse as in World 1 to duck behind.

What do we even gain? In World 1, we gain circumstantial evidence regarding the voters off of des's wagon. Quite conveniently, phoopes, who was alongside Celever on the counterwagon to mafia, is now a potential solve for Celever. In World 2, we don't actually solve anything. Either way, town loses.

i guess my question here is what if world 3 (you bussing des) happened. which is the only world where cel would be 'right'. i think that world is unlikely but I wish you talked aobut it
 
i think dbd's somewhat focus on cele makes decent sense, but I do agree with jal that he 'should' focus on other people. it just makes sense thats you push the person who from your POV is pushing you and was focusing on you to a concerning degree for much of the game.

I like the idea of voting Cele but would appreciate someone explaining the mech that suggests he's town one more time (sorry...)

If that happened, then sure, it would help town, but killing me doesn’t really reveal much about other voters imo

In the risk/reward, any outside observer would see two scenarios where I flip town and one extremely unlikely scenario where I flip scum

Of course, none of this matters because my role PM says town

I have no way of confirming scenario 2 which is what I thought was more likely so im just watching and trying to play for scenario 3 while keeping scenario 2 at the back of my mind

Id rather not vote Celever today, if he's scum we dont have reasonable enough doubt to hang him after him having some townlean mechanical confirmation, if he's mafia I think we have better chance of voting his partner out (but if the mafia is Celever and Phoopes we're fucked for the time being)

Hi bestie <3 yes, so I hadn't caught up on the thread yet by the time I came in to check thread last phase and Peum said that Genisu and Phoopes had claimed PRs (Genisu - Follower, Phoopes - Jailkeeper). Then he said that the lynches yesterday were Joey, Peum, and DBD. And I'd been townreading/leaning both Peum and DBD so I landed on Joey :O

And when I got a votevount afterwards, which was technically from Phoopes, Joey was winning the vote by 1 so I figured it was better to stay than risk potential JK murder.

I'm a lil late replying to this, I don't like to leave votes laying around in general, more so since this game has hammer, so I usually vote later in most phases anyway.

And I didn't have you paired with anyone :O I had people you couldn't be paired with (Jalmont, Celever at the time), but finding actual pairs is super difficult for me at the start so I usually just stick with one main sus until someone else does something else that I think was more scummy and then I swaps. You just kind of compounded on the scumminess from the day before which is why I wanted to vote you.

My vague idea based on D1 was it was probably you and one of Genisu, AirC, or Pulsar, but no one specific out of those three were rlly jumping out so I figured that if after you died and flipped scum then we could figure out the rest later. Jalmont has seemed good from D1 for me, their posting seemed genuine and kind of inline with how I think they play, plus I agree with most of their posts :O. DBD was the decider on Des and I still don't see the bussing angle there. I don't see both maf being on the same target on D1 so Celever is good to me/plus I rlly vibed with their claim plan. Neon was specifically called out to swap their vote by Evie and still stayed on themselves even though they could of stunted the vote and there were 2 viable options to swap to in Pulsar or DBD. And I was just generally townleaning Peum, :tyke: mainly cause I lowkey thought they were some kind of Power role cuz they seemed less aggressive than the last game at the start of this game, but also cause I liked their posts.

I was thinking that the maf had to be someone who was either unavailable to vote D1 or wasn't able to swap their vote without completely screwing des out of potentially not getting lynched. But now I'm not sure ;;v;; cause out of those Genisu was follower and AirC (joey) flipped villager, so now it just kind of leaves pulsar and you and I might need to reassess

After all, we’re in setup 4 and mafia can’t role block me AND genisu in the same night. And if they do they can’t use the kill. I’m assuming they’re going to want to kill either me or genisu now meaning that the other one of us gets to use the role at least

Actually, why did you Jail Celever on N1? The only read post you had D1 was that Jalmont was scummy for not voting, why did you pick Celever instead of them?
 
Now that I'm thinking about it more, you couldn't be paired with Pulsar either :blobthinking: because why would that have been your top vote on D1 if you were paired, I feel like I'm missing smthn

are you going to reassess? or are you saying you think we should vote between pulsar and phoopes today? are you town reading pulsar?

By this last paragraph, wouldn't the mafia team just be you and pulsar most likely?
 
That'd narrow down the pool to you, pulsar, neon, jalmont, and peum not being around at deadline to save des (plus airc who is dead now). Jalmont was very active but the other four seem reasonable including you
