opponent hasn't been on to respond to my scheduling request nor been on since last week

Update: Nevermind! They don't work! Is anybody able to help me? I cannot & have not been able to figure out how to successfully import the replays.

When you finish a battle, in the window where the pokemon are display, it will show two buttons at the right: Download replay and Upload and share replay.
You have to click on the latter so it gets upload to the server and you can share it.
If your opponent did this, you can find the replays here and search either your own or your opponent's replays, click the replay then copy and paste the url of that battle (if you don't see it, search your own replays and toggle "Private")

You have to click on the latter so it gets upload to the server and you can share it.
When you click that button it will show another window where it will give you the link for the replay, you can just click on the "Copy" button and paste the link in your post for the tournament and you are good to go.
You can also use the /savereplay command at any point in the battle and it will upload the replay and open the same window for the link.
