Welcome to the third edition of RUGL. After last years succes, RUGL is back to give chance for new community members, fresh talent and others interested in RU to join a RU teamtour.

Franchises are very much encouraged, so please look at last years names and consider taking them.

Managers will be selected by the hosts (me and THE_CHUNGLER ) based on their activity in the RU community, be it in forums or in Discord. Tournament experience will also be taken into consideration, as well as your overall behavior.

Despite an assistant manager not being mandatory, if you're a player with no prior managing experience, you should have someone to help you during the tournament. This will also be taken into consideration when selecting the managers.

Only one of you or your co-manager can self-buy.

RULES:
  • Current managers in RUPL can, however, sign up as players in RUGL
  • Nobody is prevented from signing up for RUGL and we encourage all rookies and vets alike to partake. However:
  • Players already in RUPL are encouraged to sign up for RUGL, but they can't play SV RU in RUGL if they were in their RUPL's team starting lineup for any tier by end of Week 4 RUPL. Subbing in mid-week does not count.
  • For oldgens, players in RUPL can't play an oldgen tier in RUGL for which they have played at least one game for in RUPL by close of RUPL Week 4 (Weeks 5+ do not matter for this). This includes subbing in to play that tier.
The format for this third edition consists of the following tiers:

4x SV RU / SS RU / SM RU / ORAS RU / BW RU / ADV RU / NatDex RU

MANAGER SELF-BUY INFO:

Each team will be able to perform ONE selfbuy maximum.
Retains are not allowed.

The self-buy price is a base of 10k, and goes up based on the following:
  • +2.5k if you are playing in RUPL
  • +2.5k if you were a manager or an assistant manager in any RU draft tour (RUPL/RUCL)
  • +2.5k if you played and won a game in this last RUCL


Manager signups will close on Sunday, March 22nd. The selected managers will be announced Monday March 23rd.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): i have rucl, rupl and rugl experiences hitting finals last year in rupl and rugl also hit play offs managing a team in PTSL, oyster is the goat and have a lot ru experience, he already managed rucl, ruwc and rugl

Let alone that Rarelyme is the RU Leader, he managed in RUWC VI and LTWC where he made playoffs both times, including going to finals. We have been involved in the community for a while, as my appearances as a manager in RUWC V, RUGL I and RUCL I state, and we played countless tournaments across our years.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): Well, I have a short experience in the RU tier, having played in the PTSL tier (where I finished first in the pool). As a manager, I managed UMFL and MOMPL (where we are in the semifinals). Nasir, on the other hand, has played in RUWC, and in addition, he has managed several WCs such as LTWC (which has RU), UWC, WCOR, and is currently managing Europe + Africa in RBYWC. He has also managed UMFL and taken the team to the semifinals. He is currently managing UMCL, and he also managed PTSL (which includes RU), where he was champion with an incredible campaign with the Negro Drampas.

I have been helping some teams in relevant tournaments, such as the Riders in SPL and Negro Drampas in PTSL, where they ended up winning everything. In addition, I am currently managing the Dynasty Premier League alongside Grillo and Ash KetchumGamer. I have learned many things from these teams and I believe I am capable of managing.

ADV RU Council member, with experience in Gens 3, 5, 6, and 8 RU. Winner of ADVPL V as an all-slots OU support and low-tier support. Experience in dozens of tier tournaments, with wins in PUPL, PMPL, PTPL, ADVPL, PTSL, and UWC. Played SPL with the Ruiners in 2025 and the Wolfpack in 2026.

Slikkles has been in the RU community for 2 years now. He is an active member and has managed stuff like bsscl, rands fl x2 with a semies finish. He also made semis in RUCL.
I am a newer face to the management scene. I am managing Dynasty Premier League. That said, I have also taken part in team tournaments such as OUPL, Teamballo, CNPL and many more. I have also supported various teams in other tournaments such as OUFL, ORASCL etc. I have reached the playoffs of many of these tours. My managing experience, however, has been kept to the discord PLs scene.
If we are picked, we will definitely try our hardest to win.
We believe we would make good managers as we are motivated to win this tournament and give newer players an opportunity to demonstrate their ability whilst having a positive team environment. We can build a competitive roster, provide solid support, and put our team in the best position to succeed.

noa is one of the new faces of oras community, he mostly has experiences as a player and this RUGL could be his very first managing experience.
he attended a lot of notable teamtours such as ADPL, FCL, FCPL, NUCL, RUGL… and even won ORASCL I in both RU and NU slots. Beside of that, noa helped (and still helping) teams in renowned touranments like SCL, ADPL, ORASPL, ORASCL, NUPL, RoAPL…
we both can bring good support for the players and are really motivated to win

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):I’m an active member of the RU community, where I regularly participate in discussions and events. Last year, Nemosse and I were responsible for managing both the RUGL and the RUCL, handling organization and making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the tournaments. I was also picked for SCL, which gave me the opportunity to compete at a higher level and gain more experience in a competitive environment.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I managed the Lanturns last RUGL and we reached play-offs. I'm also managing the extremely excellently great good amazing Solid Rock Wreckers this RUPL and in general I've been an okay presence through out RU for much of SV. I've also been trying out my fair share of old gen ru. Siras has been managing RU teams for a while now. His team won RUPL in 2023, and he's managing the prestigious Deranged Hustlers this iteration of RUPL. We're both active managers and would love to know more of RU's underrated talent :3

i dont know if it changed but rupl managers used to not be able to signed up to manage the corresponding rugl
