I will have to call a complicated act, opp's wall we couldn't find a time however I do not think my opponent was very active, mostly asking for rfn and after I suggested a time they didn't reply till 3AM my time Sunday.

passionfruit_fan (vs Chisaki Kai) - setting a "non-guaranteed" time does not grant you an exemption from showing up to the time you offered. If you couldn't make the time you should have specified as soon as you found out, rather than waiting 4 days until after the time had passed. The alternative interpretation is that a time wasn't agreed upon and there was no reply for 4 days, resulting in an activity win for passionfruit anyway

I do find this decision a bit crazy tbh. I could have simply taken the act the moment they couldn’t make the first time, but functionally the same thing happens to me and I’m punished for it. This type of decision encourages players to always take act and never reschedule - we should be encouraging more games to get done, not punishing people for giving their opponent leeway

attempting to claim act because an opponent notifies you on Tuesday that they've had a conflict and need to reschedule to a new time would never have been accepted

You did not notify in advance that you couldn't make the agreed upon time, and instead made your opponent log on and wait. That is a very different thing

To top all of this off, your opponent did try to reschedule with you, but your schedules ended up being incompatible with one another. I would argue that by not upholding their legitimate activity win, that would be encouraging them to have not tried rescheduling in the first place and instead just claim act when you failed to show up at your agreed-upon time.

Looking at this, both of you had significant periods without replying, neither of you adhered to the times or days that were offered and agreed upon, and even though there was an agreement, there was no specifically set day&time chosen. Overall I'd say this was poor scheduling on both parties, and so would not be quick to grant an activity win to either of you. Obviously this is just at my first assessment, and any final decisions will come down to the whole host team discussing, so don't treat this as final.
As for remaining in the tournament, I can see evidence that you both were around and trying to get your game done, so I'm willing to waive the forced drop rule for both of you

Thank you, I don't mind this decision but I don't know what my opponent will say about it. Will do better with scheduling in the coming rounds.

I'm really stretching the rules since Kochu didn't agree to the time, but I'll grant the extension. Please make sure to get your game done, as converting an extension into a double game loss can fuck with the bracket
