Pokémon Champions - releasing April 8, 2026

Flabbergasted that this game runs so poorly, at least in handheld mode. Also really not a fan of how the classic select clicking noise now sounds like I'm hearing it through a speaker underwater. Really a turn off first impression from the menu UI and presentation.

home apparently does show the abilities now

I'm on Switch 2 and playing docked and let me tell you, I should not be walking away impressed by Home's UI speeds.

Wait we need to know what Mega Golisopod got.

These ability choices are so tepid that it keeping Emergency Exit is an actual possibility.
It's weird because the leak did get some things right like Piercing Drill for Excadrill and Magic Bounce for Clefable. I do believe they had information, but are unreliable.... Though now Golisopod's ability can be anything.....

I was so hyped for champions but in all honesty it’s a bit underwhelming. Some of the new mega abilities are mid or just not good and some pokemon we saw like ursaluna were cut
