NOC Electoral Mafia - Game thread

at this point regardless of their alignment we can't trust either of them to play in town's best interest even as town. DBD has done nothing but defend himself and squabble with af all game and Larry and Liquid both have only tried to 1v1 AP

how are we saying that mafia engineered a perfect nv scenario when 3 people made a last second vote switch
I'll concede this point but look at it from a game theory pov.

If Mafia actually does only get a factional kill on either no vote or a mafia getting voted out, or even only no vote, Mafia essentially have no power to actually get PRs out because there's a large number of PRs people aren't likely to vote on face. Tsuki and I have more or less claimed since day 1, for example, and as it currently stands Mafia has no way to actually remove those roles from the game since nobody has seriously entertained voting pulsar/tsuki/me post-claim unless we stumble into a tie/no vote. The best they can do in that situation is trade one for one.

Enter AirC. With 11 players left and 11 roles either claimed or confirmed to exist, not counting AirC's hypothetical bus driver, AirC is the only way for mafia to get to do anything in the game proactively and turn on their nightkill to remove a town PR who isn't ever in danger of being voted out. Sure Mafia could wait for two people to get voted out to kill myself and pulsar but at that point it's a fairly hollow trade because town usually has more good roles than the number of mafia players. It's even worse if Mafia literally has to force a no vote to be able to kill, at which point AirC is, again, the only way Mafia can have any control over which PRs die.

Look at AirC's play today. Since the AP vote went through and then didn't he has either only defended himself or exclusively harped on about voting Realiti in kind of the same way he did with AP. Even his point about Jalmont, while logical, rings kind of hollow since he wants Realiti voted out as a result of it - I would argue if you had no idea where the votesticker role actually was the safest thing for town to do would be to vote off Jalmont.

I might know what they did, but first I need to learn abt Fractions
I'm just gunna assume we are. My role let's me increase my vote value (public) or roleblock someone. I need to expend at least 1 charge to do either, And I gain charges by having ppl vote me and dividing their vote value by the number of ppl still alive. I haven't been able to use it cuz no one's voted me enough :V

I haven't been playing well to use it either cause I misread it at the start u.u
Curious what you meant by the first one at start day 2 relative to what your actual role does

Just want to clear up the last part, right now whatever I said earlier are pointing to Jalmont being scum, Realiti scum is an hypothesis but if Jalmont is scum then it's probably not the case

Unless I'm missing something, and if that's the case I hope it will be pointed out, if Jalmont isn't scum, then mafia has a forced tie every day for every vote. Pretty sure mafia is trying to use Jalmont vote being forced as a bait

Since she gains "charges" depending on the numbers of people alive, she would for exemple gain 2/14 of a charge if 2 people voted her on D1 (today she would gain 2/11 charges since 3 people are dead).
The amount of charge gained increases with votes on her and with dead people

Each vote I receive is worth 4 divided by the number of players alive that day. On D1 Tsuki voted me so it was supposed to be 4/14. When Evie shared what my charge was they said it was 2/7. So I thought that meant Tsuki made votes half as effective on ppl, but rlly Evie just reduced the fraction to it's lowest term and I'm dumb

have to admit AP didn’t really strike me as someone to give up as mafia in this sort of scenario

let’s go ahead and on the basis of your realization regarding my vote pretend I’m town. Who would you like to vote out today. Realiti?

If you're town, and realiti is also town then scum could just force a tie on Realiti and use NK.

If you're town, and realiti is scum, then why would scum target realiti since they could just do the thing stated above with anyone else than realiti

If you're scum, then there is a reason for doing that, which is scum has 5 votes instead of 6, so they can't reveal themselves yet until vote is done

There are three players with unknown roles and three roles confirmed to exist (eg. not your bus driver). Realiti has a 1/3 chance of being the votesticker while voting Jalmont is a 100% way to solve the double vote stick problem. The fact that you seem convinced that Realiti is the vote sticker specifically makes me think you either have an outside way of knowing this or are targeting Realiti with your ability to try and get an NK off again. Either way the way you're approaching it doesn't say town to me

AirC has kind of put us in wifom territory where we have to guess which day he targeted himself but I think the fact that he hasn't said anything about AP even once despite AP still being alive and in the game and AirC spending three days deathtunneling AP proves he actually cannot target the same person twice in a row (this would also make it impossible for town to actually win).

The votesticker has also so far only shown up on even numbered days, and the roleblocker on odd-numbered nights. Just some food for thought
