So what does all of this do to the meta? Well, dear reader, I’m glad you asked, because I have spent too much time thinking about this, so we’ll be going through this all one mod at a time.
Cat Swap: This would be more impactful if there weren’t other mods that interact with this in strange ways, but there are a few important changes. Sunsteel Strike/Moongeist Beam now hit the opposite side of the spectrum, so that’s worth keeping in mind when picking your FurScales, but that’s nothing major. Photon Geyser is locked into physical, so there is now only one special moldy move, Sunsteel Strike, but that isn’t a huge impact. The largest impact this will have is that moves like Draco Meteor or Fleur Cannon are now physical, so they ignore their downsides and are strong, spammable physical moves.
Revmons: Revelationmons is one of the mods that messes with things the most, because it gives every type good STABs. It also makes Normalize+Entrainment worthless, as Revelationmons overrides Normalize. The important things of note here are that moves like Draco Meteor on the physical side, or Bolt Strike on the special side, are now usable by every type. Sunsteel Strike, Moongeist Beam, and Photon Geyser are obviously restricted, as every type having access to mold breaker moves would be broken. Other moves like Fishious Rend/Bolt Beak, Gigaton Hammer, and V-Create are restricted because they would be broken on every type, but there are some moves that are part of this category that are also broken because of the next mod, so they are banned.
Inverse Mod: This messes with a lot of balancing, and breaks multiple things in half. First of all, Normal-type moves like Boomburst and Population Bomb are completely banned because they’re unresistable and incredibly strong. Second of all, Stored Power and Power Trip are much harder to sponge, so they are getting the ban hammer for being too cheesy, because if you remove the opposing setup control, or they didn’t bring any, then Power Trip/Stored Power are immense problems.
Scalemons: This is one of two mods that is responsible for almost all pokemon getting unbanned initially, because almost all of them got banned for being too strong, which is much harder to do when your BST is stuck at 600. This does not apply to Cramorant, because that rat bastard bird that I loathe deserves nothing but the darkest pit of hell. This will also help pokemon with unique type combinations thrive, and can also help weaker pokemon because their ratios are often more minmaxed.
Flipped: This is the other half of the reason that almost all pokemon are unbanned, because while there are a lot of pokemon with high atk/spa combined with high speed, these are now defensive walls, and the stat spreads that would be broken when flipped are much rarer. With that being said, Blissey/Chansey are on the watchlist because they have respectively 151 and 144 Attack, the best offensive typing in the game, and a speed stat that would let them run neutral natures and still outspeed non-flipped Regieleki. I also do not know how Flipped interacts with Shedinja so it is staying banned for the moment.
Bonus Type: This is probably the mod that is going to be the most problematic for this entire meta’s balance, because it is going to greatly benefit both offensive and defensive threats. Offensive threats now can have free Normal STAB, an immunity to a status that would otherwise handicap it, free STAB on a moldy move, or a boost in power to one of their coverage moves for free. Defensive threats on the other hand, now can choose between things like becoming more rocks-resilient for free, being unable to be poisoned, or just good old having a more disgusting defensive typing to hit. Overall, I expect to see most initial bans to be heavily influenced by this mod, which is also why the Tera Preview clause was included.
From the theorycrafting I have done with fellow council member(s), and from the games I have played, the combination of Scalemons and Bonus Type means that a truly vast amount of pokemon have potential to be really strong. Deoxys-Attack is insanely bulky, so both it and Eviolite are being looked at for potentially making the tier too bulky. Light Ball is on the radar because it's effectively Huge Power as an item. There's a lot of untapped potential here, but it really captures the outlandish and wacky nature of some OMMs, like UMix, which I really enjoy. It will still take some experience with Hackmons formats to know how to Improof though, but I'm always willing to help with that
FAQ:
Stats are flipped, then scaled. Not that I have found on Showdown, but I made this Excel sheet to do it. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18Ulny-cuUnT4xNPRgyOjov1XFcQ9K423Ug_j_gxJ4FM/edit?gid=0#gid=0I didn’t want to implement complex bans, so I decided to keep Comatose over Sleep Talk and Transform over Imprison, because both of the remaining elements have theoretical use cases. Baton Pass was banned because it’s cheese and I don’t want to deal with it.
First: stats are an incredible pain to get because of how the metas combine, so please use ANinjaDude's lovely document! Trust me I tried to do it myself without the document and it's awful.
Second: This is an insane mess what on earth... Well-named!
Third:
-Bonus Type FAQQ: How does it work with Transform and Imposter?
A: The bonus type is not copied. Ditto's bonus type is also removed.
Bonus Type does not work with Imposter!

This gives a new, fairly easy method of imposter-proofing (no specifics because I'm bad at BH stuff).
200/50/100/50/100/80
This boi is your new best Imposter! 200 is pretty significantly worse than your standard BH Imposters, but still better than the vast majority of mons. This is especially notable because...
Stats are flipped, then scaled.
This leads to HP being at the base Speed stat of the imposteed (¿real word?). And because the things that benefit from Scalemons are typically things with low base stats in general, our offensive meta picks may have very low HP as a rule (see: Happiny (which should be banned even more than its evolved formes should) or Avalugg, at 30/195/45/15/15/255 and 28/54/51/216/137/111 respectively).
So in all... imposter-proofing is easier, but Imposter will still be way fatter and better than what it copies by default, and of course needs to be prepared for just like always.
Worth noting!
Use Psycho Boost, it's stronger than Draco Meteor and co. And Blue Flare is just as strong. but can burn. These should be your go-to 'physical' moves (although of course others are there with plenty of utility).
A couple sets!
30/195/45/15/15/255
Happiny (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Chloroblast
- Volt Switch / Vacuum Wave
- Other of Volt Switch / Vacuum Wave
- Photon Geyser
Chloroblast is an incredible physically offensive move now that you can pick its type. And Happiny is absolutely broken and will be banned as soon as anybody even tries to play this meta.
252+ Atk Life Orb Happiny Photon Geyser vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Deoxys-Attack: 299-354 (59.3 - 70.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Happiny Chloroblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Deoxys-Attack: 224-265 (39.7 - 46.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Happiny Chloroblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Fur Coat Deoxys-Attack: 113-134 (20 - 23.7%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
Photon Geyser is an extremely important move here, because it hits Deoxys-A super-effectively and bypasses abilities like Fur Coat and Unaware.
Notably, Psychic is an extremely good offensive typing, which hugely buffs Psychic Surge. If Deoxys-Attack gets banned... well maybe Deoxys-Normal would too... and then Psychic still has fantastic moves (Stored Power and Photon Geyser) but wouldn't be as vital.
Magic Guard may not be optimal on Happiny because it loves its raw power, wants to boost it, and is about as likely to die to a weak hit from full as from 1 HP thanks to its Shedinja level bulk. It probably prefers the power increase from a boosting ability + Band or protection from priority from Psychic Surge. But I'm sure it's good on something, I just wanted to post a Happiny set and a physical Magic Guard set :3
How to imposter-proof this?
I guess a tanky mon which is Poison or Fighting type. Fur Coat Arceus eats.
I'll make some more sets, but will try to get too disorganized and rambly. They're pretty much the same, Happiny hit hard and not do anything extraneous like try to set up or have utility with actually zero bulk.

Question(s)... are restricted moves restricted from the first two slots? 3? Completely different and I've understood it? How do Bonus Type and Revelationmons interact? Specifically: does Revelationmons read a third type? Or a second type that is a Bonus Type?
Also: why is Contrary banned? Everything boosts the wrong stat. I guess V-Create is still incredible but you can't run Contrary V-Create + Tail Glow or something. Mixed sets being scary? I could see Arceus or something using it but idk about quickban level broken. As long as this was a considered decision and not an oversight I'm happy, but it just stood out.
The sets I made were designed with the assumption Revelationmons would work on Bonus Types, but they're all easily reconfigured if not.
Hope I wasn't too disorganized or rambly. Typed this on my phone so it might look weird.
